This adorable A-frame has its own private walkway, surrounded by red and yellow blanket flowers, white and purple morning glories and sea oats swishing in the breeze. Head to the beach to swim, surf, fish, or just go shelling. You’re sure to see flocks of pelicans breeze by. At dusk sit on your private deck and watch the dolphins as they take their nightly run up and down the channel in front of your cottage. After moon rise watch the ocean for showers of phosphorus sparkling on the waves as they crest.
In addition to a full kitchen complete with blender for those beach side margaritas, this cottage features a loft bedroom with a queen size bed. You will be stunned by the smashing view of the Atlantic when you open your eyes each morning. There is also a bedroom downstairs with a daybed and comfortable trundle bed. A full bath is readily accessible downstairs and an outside shower is also available for your convenience.
BEDS: Queen-size bed upstairs. Day bed with roll-out trundle bed downstairs. Sleeper sofa. Sleeps four comfortably.

YOU ARE CERTAIN TO ENJOY YOUR STAY HERE ON VILANO BEACH!
Hi! My name is Darin Brown. I am a retired physician living in north central Florida. My wife of twenty-nine years is a former teacher and still full-time mom. We both attended the University of Central Florida. We are the proud parents of two lovely teen-aged daughters. We plan to relocate to Vilano Beach as soon as the girls graduate from high school.
Idyllic setting directly on a quiet beach. Magnificent sunrises replete with flocks of pelicans and pods of dolphins. This cute cottage has all the necessary accoutrements for a comfortable stay and a large supermarket is located conveniently a few blocks away. St Augustine is a fantastic place to explore.
Minor repairs (sliding glass door) and refurbishing (painting, deck, porch & bathroom rehab, dishwasher) of the property would boost this rating; however, we had a lovely stay & good communication with the owner.
Note to travelers in wheelchairs: Despite a ramp to the second level, this property is not accessible and the owner does not list it as such. We took it upon ourselves to stay with our two sons in wheelchairs and struggled greatly.
We stayed at this adorable beach cottage over New Years for a relaxing getaway with our dog and got just that. The location was perfect - unobstructed views of the ocean, a mostly empty beach, an easy drive to historic St. Augustine, and a Publix right up the street! The large deck was where we ended up spending most of our time as our dog loves people watching and breezes. It looks like there was a gate up on the deck at one point and it would have been nice to have during our stay. Overall the cottage was nice, but it can definitely use some maintenance and could have been cleaner upon our arrival. It's not enough to keep us away from future trips to this particular house, and I did receive a message from the owner that management changed in the middle of our trip so hopefully in the future things will be even better.
We stayed in this cottage in early September 2016. The location is undeniably awesome. Oceanfront, private balcony, wonderful unobstructed ocean views, particularly from the upstairs bedroom. The beach is sparsely populated in this residential area, so it made for a private get-away.
We had a great time collecting sharks teeth on the beach, fished in the inner coastal, enjoyed Aunt Kates and Caps on the Water in Vilano Beach, and made use of the easy access to St Augustine.
On the down side the house is a little smaller than we expected, lacks a dishwasher, generally could use some updating, and could've been cleaner.
The Owners responded quickly to our initial inquiry and were prompt in providing access details as our check in got closer.
The cottage was very nice to stay at but when we arrived the windows had bird poop all over them. So we had to clean it off. Some of the poop was too high to get so we had to leave it. Then the filter for the air conditioning system was completely clogged. It should have been replaced months before. The water tasted terrible but then all the water in the area tasted bad. The air conditioner could not keep up with the heat during the day but we were out of the cottage during the day.. It was a nice place to stay and had beautiful beaches and plenty of things to do in the surrounding area. Some easy cleaning and maintenance issues could have made the trip a lot more enjoyable. One more hour of work could make a big difference. So whoever takes care f the property should get a talking to. I did enjoy my stay just a little disappointed.
The cottage is cozy with all the amenities of home. You can see the sunrise from bed every morning. The location is perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evening watching & listening to the ocean. The management was great.
This is a cozy little a-frame house right on the water. Our second year staying here and hope to again, small, but perfect for a couple. I posted a few pictures on facebook and several people ask where it was located and how we found it. Very satisfied!!
