Professionally furnished by interior designers, the unit features a fully equipped kitchen with custom cabinets, carrera marble countertops and top of the line KitchenAid stainless steel appliances, and spa-like bathrooms that showcase glass showers and custom tile work. A washer & dryer and 60' LED HDTV with cable and high-speed wireless internet complete the interior living space, while a covered flagstone patio off the master bedroom provides a much coveted outdoor living space and more room for entertaining.

Historic Capitol Hill is truly a downtown suburb that offers all the excitement of the city yet retains a safe and small neighborhood feel. The residents here are a tight-knit group comprised mostly of families who possess a strong sense of community. Nestled within the long rows of neighborhood homes you will find pockets of excitement ranging from a multitude of eating establishments to DC's only remaining original public produce market, known as Eastern Market. And of course it's extremely close proximity to the Capitol and various Smithsonian museums puts you literally at the doorstep of our nation's history. It is an absolutely wonderful location for both residents and visitors alike!
No expense was spared in the complete refurbishment of this house. You will be staying in a historic home complete with modern amenities--1880's on the outside and 2010's on the inside! Location-wise everything you need (restaurants, groceries, shopping, Metro) and everything you want to see (Capitol, Library of Congress, National Mall, Eastern Market, Barracks Row, Smithsonian museums) are just a few blocks away and within easy walking distance. Live amongst the locals and truly feel at home during your visit!
The townhouse was perfect! Clean, updated, and close to everything you need/want! The owner was very responsive and easy to work!
These units are in a really nice location in terms of the local neighborhood and the ease of access to all of DC's attractions. The units are well furnished and very comfortable. I highly recommend this property when you visit DC.
I spent a week in DC and the location is perfect for work, sightseeing and dining. There was a problem with the original apartment I booked but David was fantastic in handling the issue and was able to move me promptly to another apartment in the building. I would recommend the apartments inside the building over the basement one because they have more natural light. The apartments are appointed as advertised and comfortable. This is most likely the place I will stay when I am back in DC. Thanks David!
Our family has used this VRBO twice. In fact, we rent 2 of the 4 units during the Holidays & will do it again, I'm sure. The units are newly decorated, clean, spacious, functional & centrally located on Capitol Hill. The owner quickly responds to emails & makes using his properties uncomplicated. The location is perfect for DC visitors. The metro is nearby and the Mall is within walking distance. I highly recommend this property.
Property is exactly as pictured. Beautifully renovated, well lighted, and nicely furnished. Plenty of room for our party of 3 adults and 2. children. Located in a nice neighborhood just a couple of blocks from Eastern Market Metro station, pharmacy, Starbucks and a nice variety of restaurants. Local market a block away has everything you'll need, but is quite pricey. Reasonable walk for the children to the Capitol and National Mall. Only concerns we had were that the bathrooms and floors, though by no means "dirty", just weren't quite as clean as we would have desired and a hair dryer for each bathroom would be nice.

Great location, about a 15 minute walk to National Mall, and two blocks from eastern market. Flew in and out of Reagan Airport and a Lyft ride was about $18, super reasonable and maybe took a half hour to get there with traffic. The unit itself has been remodeled and updated and fit 6 of us comfortably, however the pull out sofa mattress could use an update. Overall very pleased with unit and definitely recommend to anyone.
