After a 1-year top-to-bottom renovation completed in July 2014, the Seward Square Rowhouse offers everything on your list of must-haves: historic charm, modern comfort & amenities, and most of all an extremely convenient location. Only 3 blocks from the US Capitol and the east side of the National Mall, Seward Square provides the ideal launching pad to see Washington DC!

One of four units in the Seward Square Rowhouse, Unit 3 is located on the top level and comfortably sleeps 6 adults with 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Professionally furnished by interior designers, the unit features a fully equipped kitchen with custom cabinets, carrera marble countertops and top of the line KitchenAid stainless steel appliances, and spa-like bathrooms that showcase glass showers and custom tile work. A washer & dryer and 60' LED HDTV with cable and high-speed wireless internet complete the interior living space, while a large deck off the living area provides a much coveted outdoor living space and more room for entertaining.

Located in the center of historic Capitol Hill, the Seward Square Rowhouse is within walking distance of everything you need and want to see. Nestled within a cozy neighborhood and yet only 3 blocks from the Capitol, 2 blocks from Eastern Market and metro, and 1 block from a multitude of restaurants, bars, coffee-houses and shopping along Pennsylvania Avenue, everything DC has to offer will be at your doorstep!

PARKING: On-street parking requires a zoned parking permit, which is provided free of charge for guests to park one vehicle during their stay. Parking for additional vehicles is available less than 2 blocks away at a 24-hour access surface lot for $15 per day.

The residents here are a tight-knit group comprised mostly of families who possess a strong sense of community. Nestled within the long rows of neighborhood homes you will find pockets of excitement ranging from a multitude of eating establishments to DC's only remaining original public produce market, known as Eastern Market. And of course it's extremely close proximity to the Capitol and various Smithsonian museums puts you literally at the doorstep of our nation's history. It is an absolutely wonderful location for both residents and visitors alike!

What makes this townhome unique

No expense was spared in the complete refurbishment of this house. You will be staying in a historic home complete with modern amenities--1880's on the outside and 2010's on the inside! Location-wise everything you need (restaurants, groceries, shopping, Metro) and everything you want to see (Capitol, Library of Congress, National Mall, Eastern Market, Barracks Row, Smithsonian museums) are just a few blocks away and within easy walking distance. Live amongst the locals and truly feel at home during your visit!

Wonderful house in a great location .

We spent 6 nights at this wonderful home and would highly recommend it if you are going to Washinton and want to be close to everything you would want to do and see .It is just a few blocks from the capital and depending on how many miles you feel like walking a day you can get everywhere on foot. The bus stop is right outside the door or you can Uber around as we did for less than $10.00 since everything is so close.We found since there was 4 of us Uber was faster and just as cheap as the bus would have been. There are plenty of great restaurants within a block or two plus a great market to buy all sorts of fresh foods. We were on the top floor and never heard the neighbors downstairs at all . Our only complaint was we usually get a house so we can cook a few meals to save money and there was 1 frying pan that we could fry 2 eggs in so maybe just another few frying pans would be nice.Overall we had a wonderful time in Washington and would highly recommend this house to all our friends and I would definitely go back myself.Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Perfect Amenities and perfect location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unit within an old row house in the Capital Hill area. It is within walking distance to all the sights of DC and conveniently located near a Metro stop. The apartment is as pictured and described on HomeAway. It was a perfect place to call home for the few days visiting family and seeing the sights.

Perfect location

We couldn't have been in a better location than where this unit is located. We walked out the door and were four blocks from the Capital. It was awesome. Everything was fresh and clean, so much better than a hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Be sure to read the history of the building it was interesting.

DC up close

this property is ideal for family visits to the DC area. There are many restaurants in the area, the eastern market is 3 blocks away, the metro stop for traveling to all DC places, even to Reagan airport if one desires. The apartment is nice, in a residential area, is well appointed with 2 full bathrooms. It is well maintained and very clean. The Capitol building is @ 8 blocks away, and is easily seen from the street outside the apartment. I would recommend two restaurants across the street, Tune Inn, or Hawks and Doves with reasonable prices and quality food. Also Le Pain near eastern market.

Great neighborhood.

The apartment had everything we needed. Comfy beds and having two full baths was great since we were there with another couple. Living room and kitchen space was good.

Loved the neighborhood. Lots of restaurants, shops and Eastern Market. Easy walk to the Capitol and Supreme Court and Library of Congress and only a few blocks from the Metro station. Would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful apartment and location in DC

First time in DC and it turned out to be a perfect location. The apartment upon our arrival was nice and clean inside and is very convenient to the metro, grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacy etc. I needed a new memory card for my camera and Radio Shack was by metro station about 2 blocks away. The metro was easy to manuever and we traveled all over the city without incident. Never once did we feel unsafe, (2 women alone) even walking at night back to the apartment from dining or returning from a day out.

The main reason for choosing this apartment was the balcony and how it looked in the photos and close to everything we would need. However, we were unable to enjoy the balcony and that was a disappointment and why I give 4 stars. There were very tiny red bugs all over and under the patio cushions and they were in need of cleaning from the winter. We did enjoy the large sliding door and fresh air in the evenings and the light the sliders allowed into the apartment. Would stay here again if ever in DC and would hope to be able to use the balcony next time.
