One of four units in the Seward Square Rowhouse, Unit 2 is located on the second level and comfortably sleeps 6 adults with 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Professionally furnished by interior designers, the unit features a fully equipped kitchen with custom cabinets, carrera marble countertops and top of the line KitchenAid stainless steel appliances, and spa-like bathrooms that showcase glass showers and custom tile work. A washer & dryer and 60' LED HDTV with cable and high-speed wireless internet complete the interior living space, while a large deck off the master suite provides a much coveted outdoor living space and more room for entertaining.
Located in the center of historic Capitol Hill, the Seward Square Rowhouse is within walking distance of everything you need and want to see. Nestled within a cozy neighborhood and yet only 3 blocks from the Capitol, 2 blocks from Eastern Market and metro, and 1 block from a multitude of restaurants, bars, coffee-houses and shopping along Pennsylvania Avenue, everything DC has to offer will be at your doorstep!
PARKING: On-street parking requires a zoned parking permit, which is provided free of charge for guests to park one vehicle during their stay. Parking for additional vehicles is available less than 2 blocks away at a 24-hour access surface lot for $15 per day.

Historic Capitol Hill is truly a downtown suburb that offers all the excitement of the city yet retains a safe and small neighborhood feel. The residents here are a tight-knit group comprised mostly of families who possess a strong sense of community. Nestled within the long rows of neighborhood homes you will find pockets of excitement ranging from a multitude of eating establishments to DC's only remaining original public produce market, known as Eastern Market. And of course it's extremely close proximity to the Capitol and various Smithsonian museums puts you literally at the doorstep of our nation's history. It is an absolutely wonderful location for both residents and visitors alike!
No expense was spared in the complete refurbishment of this house. You will be staying in a historic home complete with modern amenities--1880's on the outside and 2010's on the inside! Location-wise everything you need (restaurants, groceries, shopping, Metro) and everything you want to see (Capitol, Library of Congress, National Mall, Eastern Market, Barracks Row, Smithsonian museums) are just a few blocks away and within easy walking distance. Live amongst the locals and truly feel at home during your visit!
The description of this home was not an exaggeration. Enjoyed our stay very much in this comfy and updated unit. Our friends live on adjacent block and were quite impressed with the remodel--they did not skimp. Owner was quick to respond to any inquiry and was very willing to accommodate our request. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.
Seward Square is the most perfect place to stay in DC. It is within walking distance to the Metro, fabulous eateries, pharmacy, small grocery stores, etc. Being able to walk out of the front doors and see the Capitol was absolutely amazing for us DC first timers. The home is exactly how it is described and pictured. There were 5 of us and we all fit perfectly in this home. I will definitely be coming back to DC and will most definitely be staying here again.
This location is the best part of this place. There were 5 of us that stayed here. It is just a few blocks from the Mall and the museums. We walked to the Nationals baseball stadium the first night in the rain. We walked all over the mall every day. The Metro is about 4 blocks away. The Eastern Market is about 3 books away. A great farmers market takes place on the weekends by the Eastern Market and there is a great little bagel place there called BullFrog Bagels. We took the Metro to Arlington Cemetery the only day we didn't walk every where we were going. A pharmacy is across the street from the Metro station and there are plenty of convenience stores and cafes and restaurants just around the corner from this place.
The place is small but very clean and very comfortable for our 5. The parking permit was a little difficult to find because I had not read all of the instructions for the place. I suggest reading them more completely than I did. Everything you need to know is there. Huge television for such a small room but I never would complain about that. Nice little breakfast table by the windows in the front was a great place to sit and watch the world. The bedrooms were not spacious but were very much adequate. Off the back of the master suite was a nice deck that we did not take advantage of due to the rain. Parking is a challenge but we found parking right away couple blocks away and then the space right in front of the place opened up and we moved there. After that we did not move the car until we left.
We felt safe and secure at all times everywhere we went and especially in the apartment when we were there.
The only knock on this place is the Wifi in the master bedroom. If both bedrooms are occupied as well as the couch there is no where you can go to find wifi at night without disturbing someone else in the house. As easy and cheap as it is now to boost wifi signals I think that would be a good investment. That said, it did not in any way lesson our opinion of this place or our desire to come back here again. I whole heartedly endorse this place.
All 6 of our party (including 2 kids) loved our stay at Seward Square! We felt very safe in the neighborhood and loved the close proximity to lots of dining choices, a small grocery, and of course The Mall. Everyone in the bedrooms slept wonderfully - very quiet and peaceful. The Circulator bus has a stop right in Seward Square and the metro is only a few blocks away. We were missing the pillowcases for the sofa bed pillows, but David had some picked up for us the same day. Wonderful customer service!
We shared the rowhouse with my brother and his wife who arrived from London. We had plenty of space and enjoyed our stay. We were in an excellent location to rendezvous with family in Annandale and Silver Spring and able to walk to restaurants, Capitol Hill sites, and roam the Eastern Market...great place on the weekend days.
Being English we of course had to navigate a way to make tea in the afternoons...sadly no tea kettle or teapot.
We usually found a place to park our car nearby but sometimes a bit of a walk —otherwise really lovely.
Our family traveled to D.C. for the first time this past August. We not only enjoyed the sites of Washington D.C., but at the end of the day we would come back to our Rowhouse at Seward Square and could completely relax. It was just as David disclosed. It was clean, comfortable and relaxing. It was close to the metro system, so we didn't have to walk far. It was a safe neighborhood, we didn't feel like we had to be back before dark. We also where able to find parking on the street for our rental car. I would highly recommend this rental and would stay there again if I came back to Washington, D.C.
