Arrival and departures every day, the owner lives in the surroundings.

The villa is situated on a high hill, in a remote village of Sardinia, overlooking Capo Coda Cavallo: near is situated a lonely sandy beach, which literally stuns by its seaside view.

The place is unreachable without a car though. By the way, the most convenient place to rent a car is in the Olbia's airport.

The house is tidy and neat, with all the necessary facilities: no problem in using grill, gas-stove, washing-machine and the vacuum cleaner. Has two bedrooms, one double, and one bunk beds with two single beds, living room with two sofabeds, and a bathroom recently renovated.

The village Punta EST is built with typical Sardinian stones in the exteriors and with its well maintened gardens is perfectly hidden in the mediterranean nature. It’s located at the tip of a promontory and the view includes the isles of Tavolara and Molara with on the horizon line Molarotto Isle. The village, the beach and the whole area is included in the Sea Park of Tavolara and Molara. To see the complex, you have to look for Google Maps Street View “località Capo Coda Cavallo”.

Position of the house: 25 Km. South and 20 minutes drive from Costa Smeralda airport and Olbia harbour.

Nearest beach:The beach of the village is 5 minutes walking distance: is rose and sandy, with a wonderful view, has transparent, bluechanging and unpolluted waters. Suitable for children.

Other wonderful beaches in surroundings: from village you can visit and enjoy many beaches between the 12 of territory of San Teodoro all reachable within a very short time by car:

Cala Suaraccia o Le Farfalle (1,5 from the house, where you can find The Diving Center Aquarius); Cala Brandinchi (3Km. also known as Tahiti); Lu Impostu (4 Km.), Puntaldia (close to Golf Club) and La Cinta in San Teodoro (Km. 6, where you will find a kite surf and windsurf school and horse riding school). They have fine and white sand: Caribbean.

Starting base for excursions to North - La Maddalena Islands -, to South - the amazing beaches of Orosei Gulf, to internal Gallura region and Costa Smeralda (Porto cervo , Porto Rotondo), the archaeological sites.

Quiet, Clean, and Stunning

  • 4 of 5

This property is the perfect basecamp for adventures. We had never visited Sardinia before and this property allowed us to be close to many beautiful places to visit. Liviana's apartment was clean and quiet, which we really appreciated. We could hike to the top of the little hill behind the apartment to see beautiful sunrises and sunsets. There were numerous beaches very close by to explore, and San Teodoro was a 10 minute drive away and had tons of restaurants and grocery stores for our needs. We cannot wait to come back and visit again soon. For us, coming from the United States, the only thing that we were not prepared for, since it did not state it in the description, was that the faucet water was not potable. Since this apartment is on a peninsula, the apartment complex saves water by using rain collection water for their cooking, showers, and toilets. This is an excellent idea, but we did not know this. Instead of buying lots of plastic/glass water bottles which take energy to recycle, we boiled our water during our stay to have potable water. We loved this place and our visit and would definitely come back!

Owner's Response: Thank you, Rebecka, for your detailed observations. I see that you enjoyed the wonderful environment of San Teodoro and in particular of the village Punta Est. I would be very happy to host you again. For the question of not drinkable tap water, I didn't imagine that this could be a problem for you. I'm used to buy water in bottle for drink like all the inhabitants of San Teodoro: in all Mediterranean areas like Sardinia water is a rare resource because of recurrent droughts. But in Sardinia, the water so rare has also bad quality and is suitable only for wash vegetables and cooking. Maybe would be interesting for you to know that we pay this water like drinkable but we can't use like so. We would like have water of good quality like in your country but, despite various complaints, the company of water, named in Sardinia Abbanoa, does not provide what we pay for. Maybe you can say, and you do not know how sorry I am, "we are in Italy".

Great Location

  • 4 of 5

Great location for Capo Coda Cavallo, nice apartment, lovely owner, convenient location from Airport. The only downside is the apartment doesn't have a view which is a real shame otherwise it would be a 5 star review

Owner's Response: In the village the houses with sea view, have a higher price. The value of my house has been fixed considering no sea view. So I would accept this evaluation if the price of my house was the same of a sea view house. And I like that my renters consider this fact. Anyway I would be happy to host you again. Ciao Liviana

Really relaxed and beautiful

  • 3 of 5

We spent one week at the property and we had a great time. The apartment had all the essentials and overall I think it was excellent value. There was a washing machine so you could wash the towels that were provided to you upon arrival. The owner of the property was really really friendly and welcoming, and there were no kind of hassle. The beach was a short 5 minute walk down the hill, which is also lit up at night time so we could go for a late evening swim when the pool had closed. There were not any grocery shops on the doorstep, but if you have a car or can get a taxi, then it's only about 20 minute journey - not a big problem. It was nice anyway being remote as it gave us more of a chance to appreciate the beautiful surroundings. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a cheap getaway rather than something luxurious.

Beautiful Location and charming surrounding

  • 4 of 5

The perfect spot for a beautiful vacation. Surrounded by ocean, this apartment is at the perfect location - two beaches can be reached on food and more beautiful beaches are a short drive away. There are a few restaurants to choose from with an impressive view. The apartment was very clean and newly renovated and had everything required for a nice home away from home. Please note that while Wifi is available in the surrounding areas - the connection does not reach everywhere in the apartment. The owner was wonderful - reliable, professional and very nice! Would definitely recommend staying there.

Séjour en août 2014

  • 3 of 5

The access is at 25 Km. from harbour and airport of the Olbia city: you have to drive along the coastal way S.S. 125 and after the village of Lutturai at left you will find the turistic signal (yellow) for Capo Coda Cavallo (like Horse Tail Cape, in English). You have to drive until the village in the end of the street: you are arrived.

Sardinia is a particular isle: the sea is beautiful but Sardinia is not only sea. A travel in the interior will bring you in a fascinated wild land: the people talk an ancient language with arabic, spanish and ancient latin. You will find a wild nature if you will do trekking in the Gennargentu Mountain (with a guide naturally!)
