Beautiful, quiet and lots of charm. Perfect base to see the cave paintings.
A perfect base to explore the local cave paintings. In the lovely small village of Plazac, with a local market on Saturdays and a lovely medieval church and local bar. Most caves within a 20min drive through gorgeous countryside. So peaceful and quiet at night, we loved listening to the owls. The house itself was simply and traditionally furnished, with large comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen and large BBQ. The pool was also lovely! We will definitely be returning.
Super choix
Bonne prestation.
Location
From Paris, take the motorway A20 until BRIVE,follow directions in N89 to PERIGUEUX / MONTIGNAC until LE LARDIN,then take the direction to MONTIGNAC; in MONTIGNAC, take the direction to LES EYZIES and after the village of THONAC, en the right, there is the sign to PLAZAC.
You can visit caves, museum of prehistory, pretty old villages.
You can walk all around the village, do canoe.
And of course, you can taste typical french cooking and especially the famous cooking of Perigord....
