Welcome to Happy Acres! This beautiful and well-maintained cabin sits on a knoll overlooking a nice stream that waterfalls into a pond! The surrounding grounds are landscaped with native plants and there are many places to sit and enjoy the surroundings. This property is surrounded by a forest of old growth deciduous trees--it will show spectacular fall color that you can enjoy from your porch.
The master bedroom is on the main floor with a private bathroom. Upstairs are two comfortable bedrooms with a queen and full size beds that share a full bathroom. Additional sleeping on the trundle day bed in the loft area.
The wood accents and some of the furnishings and flooring were made from trees that grew on the property!
The property adjoins the Watson-Cooper Heritage Conservancy. This project is intended to extend from Table Rock in SC through Ceaser's Head, Dupont and Gorges state park. Lots of room for exploring, biking and hiking. Enjoy wading in the pond or just relaxing in the nearby swing. No need to leave the property--plenty of wildlife and beautiful surroundings to appreciate.
But when you are ready to explore the area, you will find that we are at the center of great things to do! Dupont State Forest with its magnificent waterfalls, horse, biking and hiking trails is just down the road. Brevard is only about 7 miles away with shopping, arts and crafts and great restaurants! Go the other direction and enjoy the day in Hendersonville. Other parks in the vicinity include Pisgah National Forest, Gorges State Park and Caeser's Head--all the hiking you want with lots of scenic waterfalls and overlooks. Access the Blue Ridge Parkway and take in some spectacular scenery. Be sure to go and see the Pretty Place Chapel while you are here--just a few miles down the road. Happy Acres is just off the East Fork river--known for excellent trout fishing!

I live and work in Billings Montana. I visited western NC for the first time in 2014. Fell in love with the area and bought this beautiful property! Happy to be living down the road from my brother and his wife! Looking forward to spending lots of time in this area!

This is an amazingly beautiful property. The property backs up to the Watson Cooper Heritage Preserve which will extend hiking /biking opportunities from Table Rock in South Carolina to Gorges State park southwest of Brevard. Enjoy unlimited access to pristine park area previously unavailable for public use.
Total privacy. This is the ideal spot for finding the balance of a great location for multiple activities while enjoying the privacy of being secluded and private in a beautiful setting.
All the comforts of home away from home. A beautiful setting, cozy house and thoughtful amenities make this a great vacation getaway spot. From the outdoor fire ring to the creekside swings and the wonderful covered porch, it is easy to enjoy God's beautiful creation in comfort. Hummingbirds and native birds flitting to and from the feeders are delightful. Lots of fun puzzles to work on. Well supplied kitchen. Short distance to lots of great adventures like hikes to High Falls, Triple Falls and Hooker Falls. Also super close to Brevard and Pisgah National Forest where we enjoyed the well known Sliding Rock and the Pisgah Inn. Also, the Cedar Mountain Cafe is delicious. Has been such a relaxing place to spend a few days, sad to leave tomorrow! Hope to come back and stay here again.
The cabin was very nice, VERY CLEAN - which was great. It is spacious and well stocked. Beds were comfy. It is close to great hiking and the town is very cute. If we ever go to that area again, would stay there.
With the lovely cabin located in a beautiful cove, it is an ideal spot for those who want to get away, but not too far from the quaint town of Brevard. If you like hiking, nearby is DuPont State Forest and Caesars Head State Park. We highly recommend this Happy Acres getaway for those who love the mountains of NC and SC.

We enjoyed our get-away at this cabin very much. We stayed over the Thanksgiving week and found everything we needed to prepare our Thanksgiving meal in their well-stocked kitchen. The weather was quite cold but the cabin was cozy and very comfortable for our family of four, with plenty of wood available for the wood burning stove. The property is beautiful and peaceful, just what we were looking for. Great location, convenient to the very charming Brevard, and also convenient to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Thanks for giving this family a wonderful place to relax and enjoy our holiday together. We can't wait to come back.
Great home! Warm, homey and Clean. Lovely property that is well maintained. Very welcoming and great location, close to Brevard (15 minutes). Kitchen had everything we needed. I slept in the king bed in the downstairs bedroom - very comfortable! We will be back!!
The cabin was nicely set up and stocked well. The property itself is very pretty. My only complaints were that the back sliding door did not lock (instead they had a piece of wood to stop it from opening), and that during our entire stay, the upstairs toilet was nonfunctioning. The owner was initially responsive and came the next day to look at it. They claimed a plumber would be coming out the next day at the latest to fix it, and that in the meantime it would flush if I turned on the water value when needed. However, turning the water valve on and off did not fix the problem and the toilet couldn't be flushed. The plumber did not arrive for 3 days. Two of the bedrooms and the loft are upstairs and there was no functioning bathroom. Very inconvenient. Another thing that was odd - one day the owner "stopped by" to see if the plumber came. He did not tell me he was coming and we were out for the day. He came in, repaired a broken kitchen drawer, walked my dog, and I'm not sure what else. Although it was nice that he walked the dog, it was quite an invasion of privacy to show up unexpected and come in when we were not there.
Although the house was somewhat comfortable, excluding the toilet situation, I would like to think there are other homes one could stay in that the owner would respect the need for functioning toilets as well as privacy.
DuPont State Forest has some incredible waterfalls and hiking trails. Pretty Place Chapel, Blue Ridge Parkway, Pisgah National Forest. Lots of great local artists, potters and weavers in this area.
