Why Matt chose Tulsa

We love being in the heart of midtown close to the Riverparks, downtown and all of the main shopping/dining districts such as Cherry Street, Brookside, Brady Arts District and Pearl District.

This Brick Bungalow is in the Renaissance Neighborhood which is an historic neighborhood which has been going through its own 'renaissance' with many new businesses and shops in an area full of friendly walkable neighborhoods.

What makes this house unique

The house has beautiful gardens and a nice gazebo area. There is always wildlife spending time eating the fruits of the yard which is frequented by Birds such as Blue Jays, cardinals and robins along with rabbits. The Studio House is full of modern decor in a classic American neighborhood full of bungalow and cottage style houses.

The Studio House has a large 46" LCD TV, full kitchenette (including refrigerator/coffee maker/toaster), essentials a hotel room would offer plus much more!

Great place to stay if visiting Tulsa

  • 5 of 5

Great communication, the place was exactly as pictured, a nice neighborhood for walking, my concerns were taken seriously, the cottage was clean. We visited the Gilcrease Museum while we were in Tulsa which was easy to get to from the cottage.

Cute cottage!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here for a few days while in Tulsa for a wedding. The neighborhood was charming. I enjoyed the big TV and Netflix! The back yard was nice (used the fire pit once). The decor was nice, sort of like a pub in one room and modern in the other. Would definitely stay here again!

Not a great experience

  • 2 of 5

I had booked this property with the intention of staying 16 days, but was unable to stay more than 5 nights. The bed is an opened futon that was very uncomfortable - it has a very hard board running up the middle, so I had to sleep on the edges. I wound up just folding it back into a couch and sleeping on that, which was then narrow and uncomfortable. The tiny shower provided a claustrophobic experience. The a/c works well, but blows directly onto the bed - and it's either on or off. On my first night there, I killed at least 7 crickets in the house, and I killed at least one each day after that. There were a couple of live centipedes and one dead cockroach under the bed. The owners live in the house in front of the property, and on one night, they had some friends over in the backyard. They were conversing loudly until after 11:30 pm, making it impossible to sleep unless I turned on the a/c to cover the noise. They were only about 10 feet away from the door of the rental property, and the walls are very thin. I got the feeling that the owners didn't really care about my comfort, only the rental income. If you are planning a stay of more than about 2 nights, I would recommend you keep looking.

Owner's Response: I am sorry you had an unpleasant experience. We take these concerns very seriously and will address them. Please note we do not live in the main house. It is also a rental on VRBO and Homeaway. We state in the rules to please keep quiet after 10pm. We were never contacted about crickets during your stay. We would have taken care of that asap and we have taken care of it since then. The AC has an automatic setting you can turn to whichever temperature you like. As far as the futon, some simply do not like them. Most who have stayed here were happy with it. Guests should keep that in mind when booking.

Great stay in this cottage!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was perfect for our stay in Tulsa. Space was nice and welcoming, very true to the photos on the listing, with anything we needed already waiting for us in the house. The location was convenient, located in a safe neighborhood 5 minutes from downtown Tulsa.

Matt and his wife were fantastic hosts and had great recommendations for things in Tulsa. Couldn't recommend a stay with Matt and his wife any more enthusiastically.

Arabian Horse Competition

  • 4 of 5

I Took my 11 year old niece to watch my nephew compete in the Arabian Horse Competition.

The location was perfect...minutes from the fair grounds. The neighborhood was safe. We returned a couple of nights close to midnight and felt safe.

I would describe the accommodation as a bungalow located behind the owners' home. It is fine for an adult and preteener, but would be crowded if two adults were spending much time there. The bathroom is VERY small. I do understand that the owners have a larger property across from the fair grounds. We will probably use it next year.

The owners are very accommodating and the property was very clean.

1 Year Anniversary Spent in Tulsa to see Pearl Jam

  • 5 of 5

We had a really great time. The owners were pleasant and unobtrustive. The atmosphere was quaint and quiet...just how we like it. Even though it has an itty bitty bathroom they made the most of their space and was a totally cool place to hang out and sleep. We look forward to coming again sometime!
