Ride your bike to the famed Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier, Malibu or Marina Del Rey! Shopper's delight - Abbot Kinney boutiques as well as Third Street Promenade can be reached by bike! Steps away from Penmar Golf Course and Tennis courts. We have 2 racquets and balls for you to use. The Venice home near the beach was great!

The instructions Claudia left were exact. We didn't have to contact them for anything. The neighborhood was quiet and clean. We did not have an opportunity to utilize the outdoor space due to the rain, but it was nice. You have to drive or uber for food and or groceries but it's good options close by. We used Uber for our entire stay and it was cheaper and peaceful to not have to find our way and pay for parking everywhere. We would stay here again if we come back to LA! Thanks Claudia we enjoyed your home.

Beautiful and Private

I stayed for a week with two adult daughters and a young teenager. This property was very well decorated, clean, safe and private. The interior is as gorgeous and exactly as advertised. There is also lots of closet space for unpacking in both bedrooms. The kitchen, dining and living room were very spacious. I loved the convenience of using the full size washer, dryer and ironing board. Loved having keyless entry to the front gate and front door as well. There is a detached garage which you can easily access from an alley but I found it a little too tight for my midsize car rental. Street parking in March was so easy anyway. The antique teak dining set is gorgeous...but also just a little rickety. I do think that the tableware was a little under equipped. We could have used a platter, a few serving bowls, some juice glasses, condiment bowls, and the such.

We were able to keep in touch with Claudia via text messaging which was very convenient and she was quick to reply and resolve.

My only disappointment was the front deck and back patio. I really felt like the outdoor sofa was too dingy/dirty to sit on. The outdoor dining set needed to be wiped down before using too, but the only towels available in the house were pristine white. I couldn't even wipe off the morning dew from the furniture. I get it that the house is on a main road, but there was a lot of dust/grime on the furniture. A simple power washing the day before guests arrive would resolve this. As far as the backyard patio (at the time of this review, there is no picture of the backyard space)...it was just underwhelming, uninviting and cold to me.

Clean, cute cottage in great neighborhood.

Great location. Clean. No AC but most days in LA this is fine. The street can be busy at times but location makes up for this. Will stay again!

Clean and Safe

Our first trip to LA so we were a little concern about safety, my husband would be in a Conference and my 12-year-old son and I would be alone most of the time and without a car. The house worked perfect for us, we felt safe in the house and walking around the neighborhood - Mar vista is beautiful and clean. We arrived really late at night and were pleased that the locker system worked smoothly, the house was clean, smelled so good, beds comfortable, the water pressure and temperature in the shower were great, dishes and utensils were sufficient, the furniture beautiful, washer and dryer were a huge help, garage gave us peace of mind. There is no dishwasher, but there is a double sink that made washing dishes easy. The grill worked well and we sat down at the table in back patio for dinners. There is a large deck in the front yard but we found it too noisy and hot to enjoy it, but we appreciated the privacy and distance it created between the front door and sidewalk. The kitchen countertop is butcher block, it might be an issue for some people because of the concern of keeping it dry, but is was okay for us as we have the same in our house. Although the house sits on a busy street, the traffic noise didn't disturb our sleep and we were so grateful there was no loud music around, no noise from neighbors at all. The house is airy, clean and comfortable, perfect for a family of 3 or 4, close to Venice Beach and Sta Monica. Claudia was excellent in answering our questions and supporting our staying. We definitely recommend this house for anybody visiting Los Angeles.

Venice Rental

The 2 bedroom home is very cute I loved the space and its decor. although the outdoor spaces were very large but the fact we couldn't host company made the space useless for me. I understand that the indoor space was pretty small so to have extra guest stay overnight is understandable but not being able to have company over was disheartening especially with all the outdoor space.

The house rules were very restrictive especially the one regarding the drinks on the counter top made me very nervous. The butcher block look although very pretty it was not very functional especially since that was the only counter top space in the kitchen.

I felt so uncomfortable making sure to pick on after my friends staying with me (the people listed on the agreement) made it for not a very enjoyable stay, so i checked out a day early and checked into a hotel. I've rented homes all over Europe and never had to deal with feeling uncomfortable.

The customer service was great all emails and phone calls were handle promptly.

Owner's Response: Please read all our reviews below because they are all fantastic. Sorry we were not able to accommodate 50 extra people at our home. Our home is newly renovated and pristine and it cannot be used as a catering hall to hold large wedding receptions and get trashed by drunk people. It clearly states NO "wedding receptions" or "large parties" in our rental agreement in which you agreed to beforehand. I don't fully understand how our beautiful home made you feel uncomfortable. My wife checked in with you several times during your stay and you told her you loved the home and were having a great time.

Fantastic, well-appointed, beautiful property

We could not have been happier with this home - it was everything you see in the pictures but actually much more roomy and classy than even the photos suggest. The bed was sublimely comfortable, the house was meticulously kept, immaculate, and well-appointed, and it was a perfect space for a getaway. We had to cut our visit short because of a family emergency so we were sad to have to leave - but would definitely highly recommend it and come back again. The contact person who made sure we had all the information we needed was terrific, kind, and responsive. Everything about it was easy, including the parking - no small thing in Santa Monica.

All in all a wholly positive experience!
