A wonderful modern 3 bedroom mews house in Kensington W8.

The house is light, bright and so spacious over three floors. From the street you enter into the newly refurbished kitchen, fully equipped with dishwasher and nespresso coffee maker. Through a lobby leads you past the shower room and onto the large ground floor bedroom with a super king size double bed and a sofa bed opposite a TV with Apple TV.

The first floor has a dedicated open plan lounge with wooden floors, modern sofas, plasma Apple TV and dining area with seating for 6 people. The architect designed floating staircase staircase leads you up to the second floor to the master bed and smaller second bedroom and a bathroom.

All the beds are made up on your arrival with crisp white hotel style linen, and the bathrooms have fresh white towels and complimentary toiletries.

The house is located on a small quiet residential street and is in walking distance to so many tourist locations such as Notting Hill Gate, High Street Kensington, Portobello Road, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens. A perfect premier West London location to experience all that London has to offer.

The nearest tubes are: Notting Hill Gate - Central Line & High Street Kensington - Circle and District line.

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay at Caroline's Notting Hill Mews. The neighborhood is lovely and convenient for pubs, grocery shopping, restaurants, shopping,the tube and sightseeing.

The property is as described and was clean, comfortable and spacious for six adults. It was a nice place to plan our sightseeing days and to come back to after a fun but long day of mini adventures.

Caroline was very patient and flexible with our delay in arriving due to travel delays. She was very gracious in making sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and accommodations.

Caroline deserves a 5 star rating.

Wonderful accommodations and hospitality

We enjoyed a lovely Easter weekend at the Mews House. Caroline was so accommodating, more than any other VRBO property we've ever visited. We were pleasantly surprised to be welcomed with basic food and drinks (including a complimentary bottle of Prosecco upon our arrival), and plenty of linens and toiletries. We had one minor issue with the shower, but Caroline responded immediately by sending the plumber the very same day. The house is located on a beautiful and quiet residential street away from the hustle and bustle, but with plenty of amenities close by. It is a 3-story house with lots of steps so something to consider if any health issues. I would highly recommend this property, especially given Caroline's warm hospitality and attention to detail.

Holland Park stay

Great location and very nice property.

Fridges did not work and the one in the kitchen tipped towards you when you opened the door

Cables and plugs hung under the living room's TV and the remains of adhesive on the wall next to TV was unsightly, shower fan did not work, it turned into a bit of a sauna when the last person had a shower, kitchen utensils, not enough serving spoons, upstairs bathroom and bedroom doors did not close, other visitors talked of basic foods and Prosecco being left for them none were available. We would have called about the fridge but we did know it was not working until the milk turned to cheese

Comfortable, great location

We stayed here during our family's first trip to London and had a great time. Location was perfect for us - a nice quiet street that was very near Tube stations and other attractions. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location and beautifully appointed mews home

I think the description is very accurate. The main room is very large (enormous by London standards). We stayed over Christmas. There were 5 people in the house and our family in London came over for dinner. There was plenty of room for 10-12 people to sit comfortably around the family room. The bedrooms are really nice because they feature two super king sized beds (US King size). This is rather unusual to find in London. Caroline was also an excellent host. We cooked Christmas dinner for 10 in the house and she brought over extra bowls and kitchenware for us. She also put up a large Christmas tree and decorated for the holidays. She promptly returned the deposit. The location of this flat is hard to beat. It's in a very prestigious neighborhood on a quiet street. You wont hear street noise, but it's around the corner from all of the activity of Notting Hill. The tube is very close, and there are super markets, restaurants and pubs within a short walk. The Churchill is just steps away and is a famous London pub. We will definitely stay here when we come back to London.

Fantastic home in Kensington

First of all, Caroline was great to work with. Great communication all around.

This is simply a beautiful home on a nice quiet street. There are nice taverns on either end of the street as well, which was super convenient. Don't worry, they aren't so close that you hear anything.

Plenty of shopping in either direction, plus it is within walking distance to Kensington Palace, Hyde Park and Royal Albert Hall (depending on your definition of walking distance I guess). A nice convenience store wasn't too far away, and plenty of fancier places nearby as well.

The home itself is fairly newly remodeled and very well appointed. Nice kitchen and large bedroom on the entry floor, a nice living and dining room on the next floor up, and then two bedrooms on the top floor. Plenty of space for a family to get together.

Note: you will be asked for a damage deposit via PayPal before your stay, but it was refunded immediately upon checkout without any problems.

I am flexible on this but when I have a same day check-in/out I have to operate this rule to get the house ready for the next client.
Please contact me if this is a concern, as I can store bags and luggage while the house is being cleaned for example.

I have a minimum charge of 3 nights or £1,000 minimum fee.

I can also be flexible on the payment terms, if you wish to pay in 2 instalments.

I require a £1000 damage deposit, which is refunded on your departure providing there is no damage to the house.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
