About the property

The apartment is accessed from the seaward side ground floor with direct access to the pool and communal gardens. The balcony has 180 degree views of the sea, the mountains and of Altea itself. Of all the buildings in the area this is considered to be the ultimate location. There are no buildings to the front of you at all, only the sea and a beautiful protected headland to which you have private gated access. Here you can find many wild flowers including orchids, as well as the wild rosemary and the pines of vivid green creating a heady mixture of scents you will never forget. You have direct access to two beaches Altea is located a ten minute drive North of Benidorm (ca.10 km), about 1 hour from Alicante along the N-332 and is one of the most memorable coastal towns of the Costa Blanca, retaining its own unique Spanish charm in spite of its increasing tourism and popularity. It lies directly by the sea in the midst of a beautiful bay and is surrounding by rugged mountains - really picturesque! The name comes from the Moorish 'Althaya' which means 'health to all'.

There are remote controlled security entry systems with CCTV and secure covered parking for two cars. The apartment is fully air conditioned, which includes air filtration, heating and cooling, this is controlled by a digital thermostat. However the design of the apartment allows for a cooling breeze whenever you wish which usually negates the need for the AC.

Floors are white marble throughout, walls are white and have original artworks, including a representation of the New York skyline by a famous local artist and a stunning life size papyrus depicting the mummy of Tutankhamun.

Kitchen has granit surfaces and modern fittings, which include washing machine, fridge freezer, dishwasher and coffee maker. there is a main en suite bathroom with his and her sinks bath, shower, bidet and toilet and a shower room with sink and toilet. The balcony has an electric remote controlled blind and is ideal for eating, sunbathing, drinking or just chilling.

The living room has a large flat screen TV with DVD player and CD player, there are a number of DVD's and CD's in the property, but these change regularly. There is a large expandable dining table with four dining chairs and two sofa seating for five people.

The balcony windows has full electric security shutters, these are not really needed, but provide extra security and light blackout if required.

On arrival you will find tea, coffee, milk bread and some basic essentials as well as a cold bottle of sparkling wine in the cooler and fresh flowers on the table.

Should you require any other items or have any special requests, we will do all we can to help, just ask.

This block and its gardens have been used by many top magazines and suppliers for photoshoots and advertisements. The large pool sits out onto the headland giving stunning views while cooling off in its crystal clear fresh water. There are sun-beds available free of charge.

Truly a wonderful experience to spoil you, so good in fact that its hard to drag yourself away to enjoy everything else that the area has to offer.

We have owned the property for 16 years and keep it to a high standard. We like the sunshine and although we have spent a lot of time travelling far and wide, this is the place we always like to visit, because it feels like home, the people are friendly and welcoming and we are never bored whatever the weather. As we now have a young child we are bound by school holidays and cannot spend the time here that we would like, but our loss is your gain!

Why Kirk chose Altea

Altea is located a ten minute drive North of Benidorm (ca.10 km), about 1 hour from Alicante along the N-332 and is one of the most memorable coastal towns of the Costa Blanca, retaining its own unique Spanish charm in spite of its increasing tourism and popularity. It lies directly by the sea in the midst of a beautiful bay and is surrounding by rugged mountains - really picturesque! The name comes from the Moorish 'Althaya' which means 'health to all'.

Views from the apartment are stunning day and night, having viewed lots of lovely properties this one is head and shoulders above everything else we saw.

The standards of the apartment and the block are very high, with manicured lawns, spotless pool, coloured lighting and wonderful flowers the gardens are lovely. The entire block was completely re decorated last year to a very high standard.

When you drive to the local town the mountain and sea views are also amazing. The entire apartment including the terrace is white marble. The south facing terrace has a remote controlled blind to provide shade as required, you have direct access to the pool and gardens, a proper size and well equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. Every morning I get up, look out to the views and my heart just wants to sing, there is no greater feeling!

What makes this apartment unique

Having viewed property along the entire southern coast of Spain, there is just no better spot that here. Listed by the World Health Organisation as one of the healthiest places to live in the world!

Local food is of the highest quality and the Mediterranean diet is healthy, delicious and inexpensive. You are just 5 mins from motorway links to all over Spain and beyond. Valencia, with its race circuit, Europe's largest aquarium, Famous museums, amazing shops and cultural life is one hour away.

Even closer 45 mins Alicante is famous for its wonderful palm tree flanked boulevards and shopping streets. The original name of the city “Lucentum” translates as “City of Light”. This attractive town along the Costa Blanca has stunning beaches, huge plazas, wonderful parks and lots of adventure as well as great weather.

Apartment fine. Owners Direct very poor.

Owners Direct told the owner that I had cancelled my booking.

They sent me a receipt for my payment which included £28 for the service they allegedly offered.

Luckily on arrival the flat had not been let to others but the landlord sent people round to see if I was there !

As no wifi at flat it took several days of a 7 day holiday to sort out.

Contact was further complicated by Owners Direct blocking the landlords email address and then suspending the site link facility.

Accommodation was fine Owners Direct very poor, they should refund my £28 as their failure blighted half of my holiday.

I will not use the site again.

Stunning location with breathtaking views

We absolutely loved this apartment, the location was really first rate and I would say one of the best located and designed apartment buildings in Altea. The apartment is right next to the pool and manicured laws which was wonderfully quiet when we visited and the view of the beaches and marina are amazing. The apartment itself is really well designed, very large and was perfect for our family. We enjoyed drinks on the balcony watching the sun go down with the most amazing sunsets. We will definitely return and would love to stay in Panorama again.

Ok apartment, but no internet

Spectacular wiev. But IT was far away from everything, like a ghost village. No internet and only spanish TV.

luxury and relaxing appartment with fantastic views

We really loved this apartment, the location was excellent. The view from the balcony is amazing, we had every meal and all drinks outside and loved it. The apartment itself is well designed, very large and offers nearly every thing. The only thing, we missed was an internet-access. The apartment is right next to the pool , so sometimes it was a bit noisy, especially in the late evening, when some young guys went swimming. The small bay for swimming right under the appartment is not easy to reach but fantastic and we often were alone there. We will definitely return and would love to stay in Panorama again. We hope, to find an internet-access when we will return.

Apartamento y zona perfecta

Las vistas y la ubicacion que tiene este apartamento son excelentes! La piscina es ideal para niños, tocan hasta la mitad de la piscina. El ambiente es muy familiar. Ideal para ir con niños. Lo negativo seria que las sartenes se tendrian que cambiar, son viejas y se pegan y que la limpieza es justa. Se tendria que limpiar mas a fondo. Por lo demas, perfecto!! Han sido unas vacaciones perfectas!

The area if full of wonderful places to visit which is why we recommend a car, The Falls of Algar, Calpe Rock, Guadalest Castle, Benidorm shows, nature parks, waterparks, Terra Mitica and many others attractions are a short drive away. The local area is very green, even in summer, with its orchards, growing Oranges, lemones and the famous, but very local Nisparo. The beaches directly to each side of the apartment are quiet with a mix of pebbles and sand. There is a large beautiful sand beach at Calpe, 10 mins, by car. Altea is famed for its blue domed church and wonderful hilltop square. It has become a haven for artists with many artisan type shops and wonderful restaurants, including the world famous Oustau! don't miss this one, but book early in season.
