Laura and I have a small company in Kingston Ontario. We have three boys and two dogs. We had rented cottages in various places for years, but carting all of our stuff around became too much. We love the cottage and the area of Tremblant. Our blood pressure drops 10% as soon as we arrive. Since we can't spend all of our time up here we thought we could share it with others, at least a few weeks a year.
The Owner purchased this chalet in 2009
You will be comfortable and relaxed. It is close enough to the resort (8 minutes) that you are never far away from anything, but when you come back to relax, its all waiting for you.
You really do just need to bring your kit and food. That's all. We love to cook, eat and converse with friends. My issues with typical rentals: the beds were crap, and the crockery was crap, and there were never any spices or things you needed. That will not be your issue here. Its plug and play.
This is truly a home away from home. The cottage was very tidy and had everything we needed to have a relaxing weekend away. We enjoyed a fire on the deck while the sun was setting over the mountains. Beautiful views right from my pillow each morning. Owner, Norm was very pleasant and accommodating. If I was in the area again I would love to stay here again.
My husband and I stayed at this beautiful chalet for our wedding anniversary and couldn't have picked a more relaxing spot. The chalet is well appointed with everything you could possibly need. Don't even get me started on the beds, we wanted to take the one in the master bedroom home! If you're looking for a cozy place to stay in Tremblant, just minutes away from all of the action, don't look any further than here. Thanks Laura and Norm!
We stayed at the chalet for a week in mid-August. It was a peaceful retreat for our family of four and small dog. The home has everything you need for a comfortable stay, is close to Centre Village (5 minute drive) and pedestrian village at Mont Tremblant (15 minutes). The area has a lot to offer as a year round resort, we went white water rafting, horseback riding, hiking to name a few activities. We would definitely love to go back to ski in the winter as well. Norm was super helpful too!
What a beautiful, cosy cottage. Loved the views across the valley. The cottage was fully equipped and we had everything we needed for out trip. Great to have a dishwasher too especially as it was Thanksgiving.
Our family spent a week at this chalet in February and it was a wonderful, relaxing, cozy retreat. The chalet was just as advertised and the kitchen was equipped with everything needed to cook all of our meals. We woke up to the gorgeous mountain view each morning from the master bedroom and enjoyed the warm fireplace on the main level each night (with a cocktail or two in hand!)
The chalet was a short drive to the main village and nordic ski lodge. We discovered a little creperie - Creperie Catherine - and it was delightful, a must try for anyone visiting. Norm the chalet owner was quite friendly and answered all of our questions. He also checked in during the stay to ensure we were having a good time. We look forward to staying again next winter! Highly recommended.
Charming chalet well put together with all that you will need and more (very well equipped kitchen including quality/sharp Knives).
Norman was very accommodating and pleasant.
It was a beautiful home to have spent our March break , great memories , my family and I are already looking forward to our next stay.
Our family of six, including 3 teenage boys plus grandma stayed at Lac-Mercier for the week of Christmas. We loved the chalet and the easy location relative to Mt. Tremblant for skiing, and the town for groceries and shopping made the daily trips between the chalet, town and the mountain easy. Prior to arriving, Norm was very responsive. Everything he said was accurate - the kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of dishes, pots and pans, condiments and more. We cooked every night but one and it truly felt like home. The beds were so very comfortable upstairs - particularly the king and queen. The boys' bunk beds were fine for them, plus the sleeper sofa, and they loved having the downstairs mostly to themselves. Norm very kindly offered to help us celebrate the holidays by providing some Christmas/holiday decorations, and he did. It was tasteful and perfectly suited to the ambience of the cabin. We enjoyed our Mont Tremblant Christmas and the cabin helped make that particularly special. No issues at all except that Google maps was off by a bit at the end -- just double check your maps. There were several restaurants within five minutes in Mont-Tremblant town, but we found Le Creperie on Rue LaBelle to be delightful!
