The apartment retains period features including mouldings and the original floor. It was owned and lived in for many years by a member of Montmartre's artistic and theatrical community. The living room contains mid-19th century antiques, to give the space that classic feel. We have installed a double sofa bed that comfortably sleeps 2. The bedroom has a queen size which can be set up as 2 single beds according to your needs.
The bathroom is full equipped with a bath/shower/ a wahing machine and a cloth dryer.
And finally the kitchen has everything you will need to prepare a diner at home so welcome to Caulaincourt Classique (you will also be amazed by the number of books which are at your disposal as the owner is a litterature passionate!), your home for your stay in Paris.
We are a professional rental agency so you will receive a proper greeting on arrival, a welcome basket with wine, foie gras, chocolate...an iPhone for free during your stay and always somebody to assist you 7 days a week. So you can really relax and enjoy your stay in beautiful Paris.

After more than 10 years abroad, I decided to come back to France and Paris where I was born. I really appreciate living again in Paris, city of light! I would say instead "Why using a professional agency?" To make sure to get what you expect on arrival : a property perfectly clean, somebody waiting for you an arrival, someone on call 7 days a week...So it will really make your stay smoother and easier!

Update: I've reviewed "my" home in Paris before but as I wrap up my last day this visit it's a good time for an update.
This is the perfect Paris neighborhood. I feel that I've become a Montmartoise as I get more and more familiar with the people on my street; the equip at Le Cepage (a great place for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and catch up with email), the wonderful ladies at the boulangerie, the handsome guys at the boucherie, the lovely cheese vendor, and of course the helpful men at the produce market across the street. There are so many great little cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance, from luxurious Michelin star dining (Table d'Eugene), the beautiful Hotel Particuleur (a former Hermes Mansion - the trick is finding it navigating secret passageways) and comfy local places like Cafe Qui Parle. And pop down around sunset to the Terrass to enjoy the amazing views and a glass of wine at their roof top bar.
The 80 bus stops right in front of the apartment and will whisk you to nearly anywhere you want to go in Paris either directly or by connecting with another bus.
The apartment is exactly as represented here; clean, spacious comfortable and welcoming. Stephanie and Jim and the FLHIP team are wonderful, welcoming and provide lots of information to visitors.

The apartment is located on beautiful tree lined street close to bus lines and the metro. A great way to have a real Paris experience. The apartment is clean with all the conveniences and makes you feel at home in Paris.
I've now stayed at Caulaincourt Classique twice and will book with FLHP on future trips. Comfort, convenience, safety, quiet -- not to mention nearby cafés & boutique markets & transportation options. Jim & Stéphanie welcomed us warmly. I simply love it! This apartment easily accommodated 3 persons. Extremely well furnished for all our needs. Excellent professional support from agent. Welcome was warm and informative with lots of written guidance, guidebooks and recommendations. Montmartre is a wonderful area to stay- close to public transport yet not subject to all the noise and congestion of the city center. Great little shops nearby. We felt like Parisians. Will definitely return again/ couldn't have a better place to stay!
This is a lovely apartment in a non-touristy district. Everything you need is within a block or two. Bakeries, grocery store, cheese and wine stores. A metro stop close by will take you anywhere you want.
The apartment is up 2 flights of stairs but an elevator is available. It was clean and well equipped. Very comfortable bed.
The i-phone and the laundry were very welcome perks!
And you can walk to the Moulin Rouge :-)

The Caulaincourt area offers many pleasures for walkers: a beautiful, gently curving street with Belle Époque buildings, excellent access to public bus and metro, and proximity to the many sites of Montmartre, the church of Sacre Coeur, Bateau-Lavoir, the Musee de Montmartre, Musee Salvador Dali, Musee de la Vie Romantique, Quartier Nouvelle Athenes, and even Paris's last remaining vineyards. Nearly everyone who visits Paris wants to return and spend more time. Here's hoping that visitors to 57, rue Caulaincourt will look forward to happy returns.
