Decked in pure tropical style, Siesta Dunes Beach 201 in Siesta Key, Florida is an ideal choice for families planning to spend all their daytime hours at the pool or the gorgeous on-site beach. As a gulf-side property, it’s easy on the wallet while its lovely atmosphere makes it a great home to return to for relaxing evenings and memorable chats under the stars.
Siesta Dunes Beach is a resort packed with amenities and your days can be as action-filled as you choose. A heated pool and heated spa include the choice of a family pool or relaxing spa. Beach-front tennis courts drop you into paradise, though you might retrieve a long shot in the sand. You’ve never played under blue skies like these. Please note: While this condo is located on the gulf side, it is neither gulf-front nor does it have a gulf view.
Meals outside are the best part of any vacation - and your time at Siesta Dunes is no exception. Fantastic spaces for beach barbecues are provided, as are casual picnic areas on the beach side deck. They’re absolutely ideal for the gulf coast’s sunsets! If you fancy something more impromptu, prepare a picnic-to-go from the comfort of your condo’s full kitchen and trot barefoot down the beach, finding somewhere to spread out and call your own. The beach’s pure quartz sand is as soft as it gets - which family member will you ‘bury’ second?
The condo sleeps six guests in its two bedrooms; a master bedroom (with a queen bed and a queen sofa bed) and guest bedroom (two twin beds). Families traveling with children will find this the perfect arrangement. Your master suite is decked in tropical linens, dotted with hibiscus, and has tasteful cream walls and accents. It’s a bright and cheerful room, made all the more so thanks to private access to your serene lanai. Your suite’s bathroom has enormous counter space as well as a large shower.
Bright stripes in the guest bedroom make a feature of the unit’s gulf location. Seaside prints and great storage complete a comfortable room. Guests have use of the unit’s second bathroom, which has a full bathtub and shower.
A TV, DVD player, Internet access and even in-suite laundry are all provided for your comfort and convenience. A lovely living area is furnished like a real home - for a look that’s complete and inviting. Two large sofas and a stuffed arm chair ring a tasteful area rug - with coffee and side tables for stashing things like cameras, cell phones and your latest book. Lamps and overhead lighting make it an ideal room for reading - although your entertainment unit with TV and DVD player might prefer otherwise.
In the kitchen, hidden neatly behind laminate cupboards, are all you need in a fully equipped cooking space: all appliances, cookware, a blender, coffee maker and a toaster, too. Handsome wooden counters frame a double sink and convenient breakfast bar, opening on to the rest of the living area. A dining table comfortably seats all six of you and its plantation-style high backed seats are truly stylish.
This second-floor condo is very convenient - whether for popping to and from the pool and beach, or for trips in the car. You’ll love exploring the areas nearby. Start in Sarasota, with its great nightlife, shopping and beach side dining, then venture further afield. Why not choose your family’s favorite amongst Busch Gardens, the Mote Aquarium and Disney World? This unit is only accessible via stairs.

We came to Siesta Dunes on our honeymoon. It was absolutely beautiful! The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. The beach was pretty even though the week before they had red tide. Everyone was very friendly. The only advice I have is we booked through Vacation Rental Pros and they didn't give us all the information that was needed. We arrived at 3:00 AM and thank goodness someone was outside because we would not have been able to get in. The security guards at the complex leave at midnight so we couldn't contact anyone. Also on our paperwork it said our unit was 201, but it didn't state what building. Those two pieces of information would have been very helpful. I would recommend the condo to anyone. It is close to the pool and the beach not a bad walk at all.
We have stayed at Siesta Dunes for 10 years. Very much enjoyed the condo...spacious, clean and well stocked. We also enjoyed the location of the condo if not by the pool. Convenient grilling area, parking and loved the stocked storage closet. We rented beach cart, umbrella, chairs. My husband and I rode the bikes everyday.
As for Siesta Dunes itself, it is well maintained, with all the amenities you could ask for, pool, hot tub, beautiful large deck with table and chairs for a large number of people. The unit itself was extremely adequate. It was clean with lots of kitchen utensils, etc. the washer/dryer is small but performed well. The linens and pillows need to be replaced with new, better quality items. The pillows in particular were quite old. The bathrooms needed some updating and small amenities such as more towel racks or hooks would be nice too. Overall, it was a comfortable unit. We really liked the door lock which required no key! A list of HD channels available would be convenient as well. We finally figured out some. Customer service was excellent or even better from Vacation Rental Pros. Christina was Extremely responsive to any concerns we had!
The condo was well stocked. Very clean . This particular condo was a good distance from pool and beach so be prepared to walk. We did have a water leak issue and repairmen were in and out of our condo for 2 days and that was somewhat uncomfortable. Also the hot tub doesn't allow kids under 12. My 11 year got in it and the nighttime security people were pretty rude when they told him to get out, questioning if he could read or not. That was disappointing since our experience had been fantastic and that was our last night there.
The condo was very spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and the television was a large flat screen. The kitchen dishes, glasses, and utensils were nice. I loved the dinning room table since it could seat six to eight people. The kitchen had three bar stools and a small table inside the kitchen. Great area for a large group. We also enjoyed eating on the porch in the morning. However, the couch was very uncomfortable since you could feel the metal springs when you sat down. The other two living room chairs were comfortable. The guest bath shower rod needs to be replaced since it kept falling down during our stay. It should be permanently affixed to the walls. Finally the internet and cable signals were spotty. Overall, the condo was a nice experience. We would recommend it to our friends and would return in the future.
