You'll love the comfort and character of our condo at Ocean Village Club D23. We have recently remodeled our fantastic condo for your vacationing comfort! We’ve got plenty of space to sleep the whole family plus a few drop-ins, every modern convenience and the ideal location for enjoying the beach as well as area attractions!

Step into our cool-toned, tiled living room and make yourself right at home. Between our sink-into-bliss loveseat and a wide reading chair with matching padded footstool (a great spot to gather the little ones for bedtime stories), you'll feel more relaxed at once. Turn on the TV, pop a movie into the VCR or DVD player, or pop open the laptop at our glass-topped table made for 2. If you're traveling with a group and everyone wants to do different things, this room can accommodate you. Sports fans in front of the TV, readers on the chair, game-players at the table!

Of course, someone has to keep all these folks refreshed and hydrated, so it's a good thing our kitchen is part of the action. A wide granite serving counter seems just made for tall frosted glasses filled with something delicious from the blender, a big bowl of popcorn, or even the catch of the day, straight from the Atlantic to your serving dish!

And if you're a serious cook, you'll find everything you need right at hand in our kitchen. The fridge is big enough to hold all the drinks and goodies your family loves, while the full-sized range, double sink, and dishwasher get the job done. We've got everything from a coffeemaker to a microwave and a toaster to make those kitchen tasks faster and easier. And all the cookware, dishes, and utensils are in place for the most complicated culinary feats . . . even if all you want to do is open up the takeout!

When it's time to get away from all the activity, our two bedrooms sleep 5 comfortably, and the loveseat in the living room converts to a sleeper for another 2 people. The master bedroom features a queen-sized bed guaranteed to give you a good night's sleep, plus a large TV, his-and-her lamps, a generous dresser and a whirling ceiling fan. The walls are painted a lovely shade of light blue, very restful!

The master bedroom includes an en-suite bathroom with both a shower and a tub. The granite countertops continue in here, and you'll love our cool, beachy decor! It continues in the second bedroom, which offers two twin beds, plus a half-bath featuring a stacked washer and dryer.

The inside space at Ocean Village Club D23 is homey and comfortable, but there's also a bit of the outdoors to enjoy at our condo! The patio, open on two sides (we're an end unit), is ideal for enjoying the morning paper or chatting the night away. You can smell that enticing ocean air!

Ocean Village Club is a large condo community with tennis courts, two sparkling swimming pools (one very near you, which is heated in winter; the other with an ocean view!), picnic areas with charcoal grills, shuffleboard courts, and a clubhouse featuring a guest computer, and library. Have fun trying out all the fun things to do here, right outside your front door! (There is also free wireless Internet service at the Club House)

The beach is just a quick stroll away down our private walkway. It takes you over the dunes and right onto the ultimate playground, our white-sand beach.

Sunrise is one of the best times to be on the beach, so plan for at least one early-morning adventure! You'll get the first pick of the treasures brought in by the tide, you'll see plenty of shore and water birds fishing for their breakfast, and best of all, you'll get to watch the dawn from the best seat in the house!

Our family-friendly beach is ideal for any activity . . . or none at all, which is what beach blankets are for! Watercraft is available to rent nearby, and the Intracoastal Waterway is just at your back, with plenty of hiking trails and inlets to be explored. You're just a short trip by car to fine dining, amazing shopping, and all the attractions.

Only one pet is allowed per Ocean Village Club rules.

Great resort very pet friently

The resort was wonderful and very pet-friendly. You do have to go to the clubhouse and pay $10 for a dog permit for the resort. 2 pools, the heated one is closest to this unit, shuffleboard and tennis courts. The beach is great but the walk from this unit may be far for some it wasn't for us. The unit is absolutely adorable in its decor. The kitchen is very small but also very practical. It has a refrigerator I wanted to take home it is large and has an ice maker which is a plus. The unit is super pet-friendly as is the entire town of St. Augustine. Almost all stores and restaurants allow dogs which were a pleasant surprise. The only issue we had was the beds. The mattresses have seen better days and need replacing. The bunk beds are not very stable either we have a 13 yr old and the bed swayed when he got on the top and we felt it best he not use them. Having 2 tv's was nice and the bath and a half with a washer/dryer was great. We would rent this unit again IF they change out the mattresses. The other permanent residents of this building were friendly and wonderful at recommending places to see or NOT see and eat.

Up to date appliances with a calm, beachy feel.

We stayed at Ocean Village Club on Memorial weekend (building C12) and had such a bad experience with the room we didn't think we'd return. We decided to give it another chance with building D23 and are glad we did. The room had up to date appliances and the overall appearance of the room has a calm, beachy feel. It's about a 10 minute walk to the beach, but who doesn't need a little walk on vacation? I would definitely recommend this unit and hope to return next year.

We loved the condo, it was the management company that was very unprofessional and unresponsive.

On May 21st we arrived at the the unit and come to find out the unit was very dirty and had some bugs. I called on 5/21 the emergency number 3 times from 10pm until 11:30pm …. I was told all 3 times that someone would get back to me right away. We felt the unit was so unclean that we decided to go to a hotel and spend the night because the unit was unclean and no one called us back.

There was massive amount of hair (human and dog) behind and under the bed in the master bedroom

There were bugs on the master bed … not sure what kind they were

The toilet in the master bathroom was not clean.

The whole apartment floor was also un-swept and dirty.

I called back the next day, after staying and paying for a night at a hotel, at 9:00am and then again at 10:35am – talked with Mitchel .. he said someone would get back to me, no one called me back. We were here at a business meeting and I had to leave my meetings to get these things resolved. This was very inconvenient.

I called again at 1:00pm talked with Autumn who was wonderful and decided she would help me. I was glad that Autumn worked hard to resolve this problem and got a pest control person to the property and the cleaning people to the property. This was a very frustrating experience and unprofessional for me to have to call so many times to get this resolved after each person I talked to told me they would call me back and did not. Also the choice of words a couple of times on the phone calls was also something I would recommend you work with your people on. People should not “try” to resolve the issue but should say … we will have that taken care of. Even after all of this I had to call back about 4pm to see if the property had been cleaned as I was told it would be. They assured me that it was done and clean. When we arrived at 5:15pm the cleaning person was still on sight and cleaning.

I find it very unprofessional that a property is said to be clean and ready for staying in and then arriving at a property to not find it that way.

The condo itself was amazing - but not at all happy with company that manages proerty

The condo was super cute, nice & perfectly described. Unfortunately I would not plan to return due to the company that manages it. Vacation rental pros is horrible!! After our booking with VRBO they charged an additional fees that were not initially included. I received arrival emails & info on their app that contradicted itself. I emailed back to confirm what information i was to follow, but was given the wrong answer. Which resulted in it being almost an hour before we could actually access our unit. I called at the check in time & was put on hold, transferred around & disconnected. LOVE the place...can't stand the management.

Unit beautiful, management.... no comments

Unit was beautiful and clean property it's nice but the smell when the sprinklers starts is awful... mi biggest complaint is with the management, I tried to get my access card to the property from the locker and it wasn't there, locker eas open, and we have to wait till somebody came to help us, apparently the "secret" codes that they sent to access your key are not that "secret"...
