"Villa Romantique" is a stunning and very spacious stone-built villa with a magnificent Roman arena-style colonnaded circular swimming pool, superbly located on a hilltop, giving you the most wonderful panoramic views. It basks in the sunshine and the very special light of this Provence/Languedoc region.

6 double/twin bedrooms and 5 bath/shower-rooms. "Villa Romantique" is as perfect for 2 as it is for 12 - and with substantial discounts for lower occupancy.

[ Also note: Optional extra : If you require extra, separate accommodation at "Villa Romantique" we have now completed a total restoration of our "La Petite Villa Romantique" which can be rented as additional accommodation for £490 per week all-inclusive, if required. Please note that you do NOT need to book "La Petite Villa Romantique" if you do not need it - it is optional, and we do not let "La Petite Villa" separately, so if you do not wish to rent it, it will NOT be occupied by any other visitors whilst you are in residence. " La Petite Villa Romantique" is a 1-bedroomed detached single-storey house which accommodates 1, 2 or 3 people. It is perfect for an older couple who may wish to have peace and quiet separate from - but very near - to the main villa; or for a romantic couple who would like total privacy; or for a family of 3 ( or possibly 4 ); or for staff who travel with the family - for instance , a nanny , chauffeur, secretary, personal assistant etc. where you need them to be nearby, but prefer them to have separate accommodation. "La Petite Villa Romantique" is tucked away in the corner of the garden of "Villa Romantique". There is a spacious living room ( and the sofa converts in to a double-width sofa-bed - thus creating 2 separate sleeping rooms at night, if required) There is a dining area and a kitchen corner with 2-ring hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave oven, cafetiere, toaster, electric kettle etc. etc. The double bedroom has a large double-width bed which can be separated to make twin beds, if preferred, and a spacious shower-room with shower, washbasin and WC. Our "Petite Villa" is charmingly furnished and decorated in an authentic Provencal style with beautiful tapestries adorning the walls. Both the double bedroom and the living room have double doors opening directly out on to the shaded sun-terrace and it's secluded and totally private 'Petite' garden. You are not overlooked by the villa - or by any other properties. - Photos numbered 22 to 24 show "La Petite Villa Romantique" ]

"Villa Romantique" ( and of course " La Petite Villa Romantique" if you wish to book it as additional accommodation) are centrally located in the circle created by beautiful Avignon, St Remy de Provence, Arles, Nimes, Uzes and the Pont du Gard, and conveniently no more than 12 miles (20 kms) from each, yet only about 45 minutes drive to the Mediterranean.

Villa Romantique was built around an old circular stone tower with windows certainly dating from 1820.

It has been renovated with immense style to provide very appealing, elegant and spacious accommodation combining old style charm and original Provencal features.

Electronic Gates. Walled garden .A beautifully private, but not isolated - location. You are not overlooked nor do you overlook any other properties.

Completely different and very special. Hilltop location. Wonderful views. Magnificent pool. You do not overlook any other properties and nor do any other properties overlook you. Surrounded by a high wall and accessed by electronically-controlled gates. Secluded and private but not isolated.

What makes this villa unique

Wonderful view. Quiet and secluded but no isolated.

A unique private pool with sun terrace, shaded summer lounge, shaded summer kitchen and open-air barbecue. The pool area is gated so it is child-proof. There is a separate single-storey 1-bedroomed house'La Petite Villa' in the corner of the garden which is available as an optional extra - ideal for a couple or a couple with 2 young children, or perfect for an older couple who prefer to be quiet and away from the main villa - or a young couple - who prefer more privacy, or for your staff who travel with you - a nanny, chauffeur, personal assistant etc, and who you prefer to be nearby, but in their own separate accommodation. 'La Petite Villa' is an optional extra. You do not have to rent it, and rest-assured that if you don't require it, it will not be rented to anyone else whilst you are there. We do notlrent it out separately.

There is a separate toilet next to this bathroom. This bathroom and separate toilet are conveniently located between the two ground floor bedrooms ( bedroom No 5 and bedroom No 6 ). Note: Bedroom 6 has it's own en-suite shower/washroom/WC, therefore this Bathroom 1 and it's separate WC can be used en-suite to Bedroom 5 if preferred. No 2. A first floor shower room has a large wash basin and mirror and good-size corner shower. There is a separate toilet next to this bathroom. No 3. There are 3 large Living Rooms. The Round Lounge with TV etc. and the Entrance Hall/Summer Sitting Room The Outdoors Dining Terrace can seat 20 at a lovely long farmhouse table.

Villa Romantique is just 1 mile (1.5 km) out of the historic medieval town of Beaucaire, with its imposing 12th century ruined castle perched high on a rock overlooking the majestic river Rhône and its equally lovely medieval neighbour Tarascon on the opposite bank . There is a delightful river marina crammed with colourful boats of all shapes and sizes which is bordered with restaurants and bars full of character. Alongside the marina the square is shaded by the typical spreading plane trees (platanes) so loved in village and town squares throughout this region.

Every amenity and facility is available.

Beaucaire was such an important market place in France throughout the Middle Ages that prices struck here for commodities such as wine, cheese, fruit, meat, metals, timber, leather,silk, pots and pans became the norm throughout France. Its Medieval Fairs attracted buyers and sellers from all over Europe and Asia and there are countless ancient buildings which bear witness to Beaucaire's great past.
