Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday apartment in 1st Louvre - Chez Luca

Spacious apartment for family or friends, all that's needed for a perfect visit

Our apartment is right in the middle of Paris. You couldn’t ask for more central than this.

The apartment boasts a spacious living area with iconic Parisian beams on the ceiling with a dining area and comfortable sofas on which you can watch the flat screen TV with over 500 channels from around the world including CNN, BBC, etc. We have WIFI and unlimited calling to over 100 countries, allowing you to stay in touch with family and friends.

You will appreciate the calmness and comfort after you have spent the day enjoying Paris. Located just steps away from the apartment, you’ll find the Louvre, Chatelet, Hotel de Ville, BHV department store, Notre Dame, Ile Saint Louis, etc.

When you step out of the apartment, you are but a 30 second walk to the Louvre Museum and its iconic pyramid entrance – be the first in line without the early start! You also have the Palais Royal just around the corner, or the Tuileries Gardens just up the street, where you can recline and relax on a sunny day and people watch the passersby.

Dining out here is no issue; there is a wealth of cuisines and styles to suit your taste buds.

This apartment is located on the 1st floor of a secure residential apartment building in Paris without an elevator.

This cozy apartment would be perfect for a family, as it offers all the comforts of a home away from home. On entering there is an entryway leading to a hallway from which you can access all of the rooms in the apartment. Just off the hallway you have the master bedroom with plenty of closet space and storage for your use. Then on down the hall is the living room which then leads to the second bedroom. Sleep peacefully at night whilst still being just steps from the excitement and hustle and bustle of central Paris.

The living room has lovely floor to ceiling French windows that open onto the street and facing the Eglise Satin-Germain-l’Auxerrois.

The spacious bathroom has a bathtub and separate stall shower, as well as a sink, toilet and hair dryer.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a 2 burner cooktop, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, etc.
Full sets of silverware and dishes are provided along with pots and pans to help you cook some of the delicious French produce available nearby. There is also a dishwasher and washing machine for your convenience.

Central: the flat is located in the geographic epicenter of Paris; if you are found of walking, there is no major area, site or attraction that you cannot reach by foot; else, there are 5 Metro and 8 bus stations all within 5 minutes serving 5 underground lines, and a network of a dozen bus lines;

The apartment is over 60 square meters.

Great Location, felt like "home"

  • 4 of 5

Let me start by saying that my family of 4 enjoyed our week long stay here very much and would likely stay here again if it were available for a future visit to Paris. The location was perfect for us, almost right between Pont Neuf and Louvre-Rivoli Metro stations that we used all week, walking distance to Louvre, Notre Dame, etc. A few of the restaurants just past Rue De Rivoli were OK, but otherwise nothing super close.

Everything we needed was there, we enjoyed the coffee machine and had all the amenities we needed, although didn't spend much time or have any meals in the apartment. With 2 kids, having 2 single beds in the front room worked out perfectly.

We were a little disappointed that the "Clothes Washer/Dryer" unit advertised in the VRBO listing was in fact just a "Washer" only unit, but as we brought a travel clothes hanger, it wasn't a major issue for us. The apartment felt somewhat "dated" (needing some wall/ceiling/floor/plumbing repairs) but as we're not used to living in a mansion, it actually felt pretty "homey" to us, lived in almost and not "institutional". It felt like a good size for the time we spent in the apartment.

With the front Windows open, it seemed that 2nd hand cigarette smoke always wafted up into the living area, but I think that would happen pretty much anywhere in Paris (and primarily only a challenge because of asthmatic child sensitive to smells). Pretty major construction happening to large building next door which made for some extra noise, dust, in the area etc. Overall not that impacting, and likely less traffic in front of unit due to the roads being blocked off.

David was always uber quick to respond to emails and check in and check out was super easy without a long list of things we needed to worry about. Maya at the restaurant downstairs was always cordial and friendly and happy to answer our questions.

Had a great visit and think you would enjoy this location and this apartment for your stay in Paris!

Great location, clean and nice

  • 4 of 5

The location is central to so much. The apartment is nice and clean, and worked well for our family of four (ages 18 and 21). Maja is friendly and helpful. She gave us a bottle of champagne upon arrival and called a taxi for our departure. The coffee pods were appreciated for fresh coffee daily.

A charming apartment with a spectacular location

  • 5 of 5

The location of this cute apartment could not be better. The owners Maja and Dusan are wonderful. The apartment is tucked next to a church and just above Maja's luncheonette where the coffee is always perking and the shop full of hospitality. We were welcomed like long lost relatives. They helped us with taxis and advice on the best places to shop.

The apartment lived up to its billing with two comfortable bedrooms, a cozy kitchen, and a beautiful living room - just as pictured.

I would recommend this location with all of its charms to anyone who wants to be in the heart of Paris.

Perfect space and location

  • 5 of 5

My brother, a friend and I (3 adults-two around 6'3" tall) stayed in this apartment seven nights arriving on Easter. Our hosts were extremely flexible with our checkin and checkout times, which was very kind considering the holiday. I cannot stress enough how perfect the location is. It was terrific being one block from the Louvre and one block from the Seine River. It is across the street from a beautiful church. Safe location. We were able to walk many places and there are two metro stops within a few blocks as well. We loved how the apartment had three separate beds (two twins and one double) so all three of us had our own. The double bed could have slept two as well. Plenty of big closet space for storing suitcases, a nice living area with plenty of seating room for relaxation. We found it well worth the price. The water heater does need to be turned a certain way for showers but we found no problems after learning that (HUGE bathroom, and they have a blowdryer). Our hosts were always available for any questions. We did cook in the kitchen and had down time in the apartment, enjoying it as our home for the week. They also left us a welcome bottle of wine which was fun. I absolutely will be checking this apartment availability first on future trips to Paris, and we would recommend to all our family and friends.

Great location, comfortable apartment.

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in this apartment for 9 nights (including New Year’s Eve). The apartment is in an excellent location, right across the street from the Louvre and Saint-Germain-l’Auxerrois church. The apartment is only up one flight of stairs and you look out the living room windows at the gargoyles on the church. The Seine and the Point Neuf bridge are just around the corner. The apartment is perfect for 4 people, the bathroom is large, the master bedroom has lots of closet space and the family room was great for putting your feet up and relaxing at the end of a long day walking around Paris. The only negative: The apartment is old and needs more lighting and working outlets but otherwise was perfect for us.

Thank you to Maya and her husband for taking good care of us. When the heating and hot water quit working, they were there within minutes to fix the problem. They also checked in with us a few times to make sure that we had everything we needed and that all was going well throughout our stay. Very friendly and kind people.

Great Location and Spacious Rooms

  • 4 of 5

Two people stayed at this apartment for a week. Very convienent location by the Louvre and the metro and other local sites. Nice furnishings, spacious rooms (largest bath I've every seen in France).

Owners were very nice, friendly and helpful and they operate a great cafe downstairs (open for breakfast and lunch only). Plenty of towels in the bath but most were rather raggedy. Would recommend this apartment to others.
