Spacious apartment for family or friends, all that's needed for a perfect visit

Our apartment is right in the middle of Paris. You couldn’t ask for more central than this.

The apartment boasts a spacious living area with iconic Parisian beams on the ceiling with a dining area and comfortable sofas on which you can watch the flat screen TV with over 500 channels from around the world including CNN, BBC, etc. We have WIFI and unlimited calling to over 100 countries, allowing you to stay in touch with family and friends.

You will appreciate the calmness and comfort after you have spent the day enjoying Paris. Located just steps away from the apartment, you’ll find the Louvre, Chatelet, Hotel de Ville, BHV department store, Notre Dame, Ile Saint Louis, etc.

When you step out of the apartment, you are but a 30 second walk to the Louvre Museum and its iconic pyramid entrance – be the first in line without the early start! You also have the Palais Royal just around the corner, or the Tuileries Gardens just up the street, where you can recline and relax on a sunny day and people watch the passersby.

Dining out here is no issue; there is a wealth of cuisines and styles to suit your taste buds.

This apartment is located on the 1st floor of a secure residential apartment building in Paris without an elevator.

This cozy apartment would be perfect for a family, as it offers all the comforts of a home away from home. On entering there is an entryway leading to a hallway from which you can access all of the rooms in the apartment. Just off the hallway you have the master bedroom with plenty of closet space and storage for your use. Then on down the hall is the living room which then leads to the second bedroom. Sleep peacefully at night whilst still being just steps from the excitement and hustle and bustle of central Paris.

The living room has lovely floor to ceiling French windows that open onto the street and facing the Eglise Satin-Germain-l’Auxerrois.

The spacious bathroom has a bathtub and separate stall shower, as well as a sink, toilet and hair dryer.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a 2 burner cooktop, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, etc. 
Full sets of silverware and dishes are provided along with pots and pans to help you cook some of the delicious French produce available nearby. There is also a washing machine for your convenience.

Central: the flat is located in the geographic epicenter of Paris; if you are found of walking, there is no major area, site or attraction that you cannot reach by foot; else, there are 5 Metro and 8 bus stations all within 5 minutes serving 5 underground lines, and a network of a dozen bus lines;

The apartment is over 60 square meters.

Clean, comfortable, safe, and the perfect location!

We highly recommend this lovely apartment! The location is perfect, just a few steps to the Seine and the Louvre. We felt very safe, and we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was as well. Dusan and Maya were warm, friendly hosts, and we enjoyed several delicious breakfasts in their cafe. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making our stay in Paris a real delight. It was so nice to have a quiet place to retreat to at the end of a busy day of sight-seeing. I would recommend this rental to anyone, and we definitely look forward to staying there again next time we visit Paris.

Very centrally located and close the Louvre

Petite apartment centrally located. Very clean and met our needs. Two bedrooms - one with a double bed and one with twin beds. Kitchen small, but efficient. We cooked a couple of dinners here, and would have breakfasts. My sister thought there was no hair dryer provided, so the poor owner had to purchase a new hair dryer for her ---- only to find out my sister didn't look in all the drawers! There was a hair dryer there! (Sorry Dave). But the owner is very responsive to your needs.

When you put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig

We paid in advanced to stay for 10 days and moved after 5 days. We are quite honestly flabbergasted at the high rating this place has received. From the moment we walked through the door upon arrival, we did not have a positive impression. A vacation rental should be a well furnished retreat where you can enjoy downtime and reflect on your day of discovery. The first 1/2 of our (first ever) stay in Paris was spent contacting the management company to address various repairs. There are "must" repairs (like hot water and a plumbing leak in the kitchen) that must be addressed, and there are "ideal" repairs that you really don't expect to find in a "vacation rental" but you can tolerate even though it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. We decided that we wanted to potentially forego the money we had already spent on the 2nd 1/2 of our 10 day vacation and simply move somewhere else - because we didn't want our memory to be marred by daily calls at the end of each day for this and that repair. In the end, we were ***** (5 star) happy with the apart-hotel we moved to across the river and we would never recommend this place to anyone. We do not have high standards. Once again, I do not understand how anyone could give this place a 4 or 5 star rating. Here is a list of issues:

* Very nice photos of unit - including clean white couch - which upon arrival is noticeably dirty - not comfortable sitting or relaxing on it.

* Infrastructure: Hot water heater is non-functional. It required my own research and interaction with local plumber to get it configured correctly. Even after calibration, would do off from time to time.

* Kitchen: Sink drain pipe has major leak and pools water on floor. Utensils are old and poor quality. No toaster as advertised. No dryer as advertised.

* Bathroom: Roomy but not clean. Provided with old towels that have visible wearing or dirt permanently absorbed into them.

* Master bedroom: Cramped with useless closets advertised as storage. What do I need to store on a 2 week vacation? Layer of dust under bed (which applies to every other piece of furniture in the unit). Hung picture by 2 nails that fell on bed...

* Living room: Dirty couches. I guess there are 2 couches to emphasize the ability to accommodate 4 people, but it make your dining area miniscule (very cramped for fam of 4 w/ 7 and 10 year old).

* 2nd room: Disintigrating ceiling from water damage. Broken door handles. (etc... char limit reached)

Owner's Response: A review is a bit like life. It is based on individual experiences, preferences, and tastes. What thrills one does not necessarily thrill all. Therefore it is important in a review to tell the truth about the situation, not just to cherry-pick certain points trying to paint a somewhat skewed view. One of the matters that didn’t manage to make it in the guest’s review is that we kindly returned 10% of their rental price, in an effort to amend of any perceived discomfort during their stay. They accepted it with open arms but for some reason failed to mention it here. As you can imagine, one of the joys of renting an apartment, in Paris or elsewhere, is the opportunity to actually experience living as a native does. Of course, one of the downsides that comes along with this is that it requires you to actually experience living as a native. We try to convey a realistic view of our apartment to those who are interested in renting it but it is not always the same from day to day. For example, in older buildings the world over there are continual maintenance issues. When a leak enters the apartment from above you have to wait several months for everything to dry before making the repair. This is just life in the city. European appliances can be different and at times confusing for foreigners, particularly after a transatlantic voyage. That is why, once alerted to a potential issue we had the apartment owner, not a local plumber, telephone the guest, from his family vacation in the U.S. to walk the guest through how the hot water system works. We leave no stone unturned when it comes to the comfort/happiness of our guests. Reading the other reviews one can find mentions of the comfortable sofas, lots of closet space, small but efficient kitchen, etc. This will help in seeing the overall balanced view. Paris is a lovely city. We’re pleased to see that this guest like the others fell in love with her charms.

Location Location Location!

This apartment is located between Pont Neuf and Louvre-Rivoli Metro stations a hop skip and jump away from the Louvre museum. With a museum pass it is easy to manage both a morning and afternoon visit at the Louvre with a lunch break and time to put your feet up at the apartment in between visits in the same day! The apartment is next to the gorgeous and historic Cathedral Saint Germain l' Auxerroise. I could faintly hear the organ playing at Mass on Sunday morning. The church bells only added to the ambience. The apartment is located above the small Cafe l'Auxerroise. Maya is the owner and landlord and she was most welcoming and accommodating during our stay. There was plenty of hot water, big bath tub, a separate shower and the queen bed was very comfortable. The second bedroom has two twin beds which would be perfect for children. The apartment has everything you need for a short stay. We felt very safe with an outdoor code for entry, an inner door hall to unlock with a big key and a second door to unlock with a small key to the apartment. The street outside was well lit at night. The location is so Perfect. My only thought is that the lighting in the apartment could be improved for night time reading for old eyes. Do not expect luxury but do expect comfort.....two wonderful sofas for relaxation at the end of a long day touring in the city. It met our needs and we would stay again! Ladies....do bring your own hair blower.😀

Great property in the best location!

My family rented this flat for a week in Paris and the location can NOT be beat! There are so many of Paris' wonders within easy walking distance to the flat. Please do not disregard the cathedral across the street. It is extremely old and beautiful! It's great to open the windows in the morning to see the rose window of the cathedral looking back at you! We were greeted by Emil who showed us everything we needed to know about the apartment. The flat is exactly as described. The communication with David was exceptional! He knew our plans to the minute and we were never left hanging. The rooms are cozy and comfy with ample storage. The building has so many old world touches that are charming for American's to see and live in, even if it's only for a little while.

I would highly recommend this flat to anyone who is looking for a true Parisienne experience in one of the world's most beautiful cities! Thank you David and Emil for making our stay comfortable and memorable.
