We LOVED it!

  • 5 of 5

We came from Indiana for our first trip to the Grand Canyon and were traveling with our 18 year-old son and his girlfriend. The house was perfect for us- it was away from the crowd in the park and it was beautiful, comfortable, extremely clean, and stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen and baths. There were magazines, maps and tourist information as well. We really appreciated the quiet, the amazing stars at night, and the lovely views. We saw bluebirds every day, and stellar jays and a jackrabbit in the meadow. We hated to leave and would love to come back! Thank you so much, Allissa! And thank you for stopping by to meet us and check on us. It was a trip of a lifetime for all of us.

Peaceful Beauty

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were so pleased with the peaceful setting, the beauty of Government Prairie, the brilliant starry evenings and soft falling morning snow! Alissa was very welcoming and attentive to our needs. She suggested a beautiful local hike that took us to a small box canyon with petroglyphs. We thought this was very special and could feel what it would have been like to have been a part of these surroundings years past. The prairie home is located close enough for access to the south rim of the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff and Sedona. We enjoyed hiking the canyon and art galleries in Flagstaff and Sedona. Alissa pointed us towards a local glass artist in Flagstaff, Judi Hartman...we were so taken by her work we acquired three of her pieces and will enjoy a reminder of the beauty of this part of the country. Thank you for the amazing hospitality and thoughtful suggestions!

It was an absolute pleasure staying at The house. It is located at the edge of the prairie and is gorgeous with beautiful interior and fully furnished. We enjoyed our stay and everything about it was perfect. Thank you Alissa for all your hospitality!

Great weekend

  • 4 of 5

The house was very nice. There was a family of deer playing in the back about 50 feet away, nice to watch in the morning. We would definitely go again.

There was no WiFi and cell reception was very spotty but I count this as a positive because we were not glued to our phones all weekend. We were really able to relax.

We really enjoyed this house, and would definately stay again!

  • 5 of 5

The house is very spacious and comfortable. The view is amazing. There are some houses close by, but it feels very secluded. The owner came over to make sure we were checked in okay.
