Apartment at ground floor with vast garden and a pool. 'Il Geranio' is an apartment composed by a big room with sleeping accommodation for 4 persons, kitchen/living room and a bathroom. It's placed near to a big terrace and it's fresh and bright. 'Il Geranio' is one of the 4 apartments that the villa make available for hosts, so, if it's occupied, there is a chance that the other apartments are available. Placed on the south-western side of 'La Casa Trasparente', its modern style is enriched by early-nineteenth-century furniture. The living area of 'Il Geranio' is characterized by a kitchen with a lunch corner and a little sitting room. During the summer period it benefits of the shade of a perfumed grapevine. The apartment can host up to 4 persons. The adjacent bathroom is spacious, bright and furnished of a fully equipped laundry.
There are some plays available for the hosts: a park, a pool, plays like ping pong and table football. On the outside you'll also find a large dryer.
La Casa Trasparente is a residence made of 6 apartments, of which 2 are master apartments and 4 are tourist apartments -- holiday homes full of every comfort.
Realized with the style and the elegance of the master apartments, the touristic apartments - all at the ground floor - have direct access to the garden. The furniture is composed by ancient and modern pieces.
Two touristic apartments are connected each other, creating a unique apartment, which measures 110 sm., and that can host up to 10 persons.
The guests have access to a big shady parking lot -- near to the park, in which there is a pool and furniture for relaxing. You'll find there a big terrace that is softly lightened in the evening, and that embraces - with tables, chairs and benches - all who like to eat out of doors.
In the park there are seesaws, trampolins, pulley, liane and a slipway that attract the kids and let the adults - for whom there are a ping-pong table, table football and darts - to have space for some relax.
I, Marialuisa, have lived in this house since 1974. Before 'La Casa Trasparente' was built, I used to live in Vicenza, in the center of the city. Then I decided - together with my husband - to buy a plot, on the hills of Vicenza, on which we could build the house that we desired: a house in the wild, that allowed us, from the inside, to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Berici Hills. Thus, the idea of replacing some walls with big glass walls that could make the locations brighter.
That's the place where we built our 'nest' and where our daughters - Marta, Elisabetta and Lucia - have grown up. Over the years they followed their partners and the house has became too big for us two. That's why we transformed a part of the house in touristic apartments, by giving every apartment the style and the comfort of the master house.
MARIA LUISA SALA purchased this apartment in 1974
We bought the plot on the hills of Vicenza because we wanted to live in a quiet and green place that was, however, near to the city.
Vicenza is reachable in 6 minutes and his historic center in 15. For us, living here has been - and it is, now - important because we'd been able to raise our daughter like we wanted to, that is in very close contact with nature and far from air pollution. By living on the hills and having a big park at our disposal, it's been possible to have animals. The hills offer delightful landscapes, but also meaningful human contact on the social side; the local elderlies are considered, to this day, the 'wisemen' and are consulted and very well respected.
La Casa Trasparente has been built by us in 1974, and it's been published, in 1980, on 'Casa Vogue' (an italian magazine about houses and fashion) for his originality and his rational internal setting.
Since we wanted to fully enjoy the hill panorama and the luxuriant vegetation, we characterized it with big glass walls; thus, the name 'La Casa Trasparente' (translation: 'The Transparent House'). The park is rich of kids plays that, being in a livable environment, allow them to play serenely letting space for the adults to rest. A big terrace, furnished with tables and benches, allows the hosts to eat out of doors, a few steps away from the apartment.
The energy is produced locally with photovoltaic panels and the hot water with solar panels.
My family and I spent a week in this delightful property situated on pretty hills just outside the town of Vicenza.
This spacious property is located in a quiet area among green hills. It consists of a number of self-catering apartments all charmingly furnished in cottage-like and modern style and full of amenities. The property includes a large private parking zone and a well-decorated garden space full of flowers, plants and trees. There is also a big inflatable pool for the warm Summer days, a veranda with tables, chairs, deckchairs and sofa swing overlooking some views of the hills and also sunset. The area also possesses a bbq area and a number of swings and leisure activities for children. In fact the property is very suitable for families with children. The whole property is kept clean and tidy daily.
We resided in L’Ulivo apartment consisting of a living room and kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms and a mezzanine. The only drawback of this apartment was that it is the only apartment which has no front view because there is a shed in front of it. The apartment is very well-kept and highly up to standard even in terms of comfort and practicalities. It has 2 skylines, one in the bedroom and another in the bathroom. The skylines can open and close and have a shutter to increase or decrease the amount of sunlight entering the apartment – very practical. The beds are very comfortable and all house linen was fresh and clean.
The owners of the property are extremely helpful, friendly and well-organized. Maria Luisa Sala was kind enough to provide whatever we needed throughout our stay and even recommended good restaurants, shops and excursions in the area. They take care of a friendly dog, a very cuddly cat and some chickens and turkeys.
The Veneto region expresses an extraordinary variety in its scenery and is the custodian of natural, artistic, and traditional treasures. During our week stay, we visited the following places: South of Lake Garda and Gardaland, Venice, Asiago plateau, Verona, Padova, Bassano del Grappa and Vicenza – all boasting their unique charm.
I would like to sincerely thank the owners for making us feel at home thus contributing to making our holiday an unforgettable one :) I highly recommend this property!!
