Ideally located in the historic Hyde Park neighborhood of Boise's North End, this charming cottage is blocks from the outdoor trails of Camel's Back Park and a short walk to the restaurants, pubs and shops of Hyde Park's 13th Street downtown, and convenient to downtown Boise, the State Capitol, the Greenbelt, and Boise State University.
Located on a quiet, tree-lined street, our home is a vintage 1912 cottage with the modern amenities you expect: Central air-conditioning, LCD TV, DVD player, CD player, microwave, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator with ice-maker, 4-burner electric oven, and coffee maker. The bath features a classic claw-footed tub with a shower and each bedroom has a ceiling fan for those who prefer to open a window and enjoy the fresh air of the high desert nights that cool Boise when the sun goes down. For a quiet evening at home enjoy playing cards, Monopoly, Scrabble, or even Rock 'Em. Sock 'Em Robots; listen to classic rock CDs, or pop a movie in the DVD player. The small back deck and yard have chairs and tables for you to enjoy your morning coffee, or evening drink.
Located in the attached shed are a couple of bicycles for an easy ride to downtown, or a more challenging exploration of the foothill trails of Camel's Back Park and the surrounding foothills.
Cozy and comfortable, Hyde Park Cottage is the perfect place to stay whether you are visiting Boise for vacation, a BSU Broncos football game, work, or business in Idaho's state capitol.
Originally from 'back east' we moved to Idaho in 2001. After the children went off to college we relocated, first to Seattle then to Shanghai, China and then back again to Seattle. Eventually, we plan on retiring to this house in Boise.
Thom George purchased this cottage in 2014
The arrival of our first grandchild has motivated us to spend more time here in Boise. Having a home here so we can see our grandchild is important to us, sharing it with others while we're away, is the best of both worlds.
The warmth of the butternut walls and the dark wood floors, the quaintness of the enclosed porches and the ability to walk to dinner made this home, in this location, the perfect fit for us.
Hi! My family and I stayed at the cottage for an entire month. We biked, walked and dined at most of the nearby places. We enjoyed your garden...fresh veggies!! Hard to beat, lovely place to stay.
This a nice house in a great part of Boise. Everything was as advertised. Easy access to Hyde Park and downtown.
This little cottage is in the heart of some of Boise's best gems. Camel's Back Park, Hyde Park and it's nestled in the charming North End, which is close to downtown and not much further to the Boise River Greenbelt. The cottage is comfortable and clean. Even though it's small, it's well laid out with a great kitchen and nice bedroom with a comfortable bed. We stayed there for a month while we shopped for a new home and it was a great place to call home for a short time. Wished we could have stayed longer, but the place was booked!
If you are planning a visit to Boise, this cute, well maintained cottage is the perfect location. Camelback Park is just up the street and well worth exploring. And you can walk to the Hyde Park Historic District where you can find good food, entertainment, and a fun atmosphere. To top it off, the cottage has just about Everything you might need...including a very comfortable bed! We had a great time and will be back.
We really enjoyed our time at this cute cottage. We had moved to Boise and needed a place to stay while we were waiting for our house to close. This place fit ours needs perfectly. We loved breakfasts on the sun porch. Although there was no yard to speeak of our dog barely noticed because it is so close to Hull's Gulch. We enjoyed the walking trails and the leash-off part was great. If we didn't have our own home here now, we would certainly stay again and we will recommend this cottage to friends. Hannah is a doll and very helpful as well.
Took my wife and 9 month old baby to Boise for Memorial Day weekend. Stayed at this lovely North End cottage which was cozy and authentic. Makes you feel like a Boise resident rather than just another hotel guest. Perfect place if you want walking distance to great parks, trails and very accessible Hyde Park blocks with cafes and shopping. Just a few minutes to the downtown areas.
Don't think twice. Book it !
We had a nice week in this cottage. Had most everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. Close to the Hyde Park stores and dining, Boise Co-Op for groceries, and the downtown street market and great restaurants. Thanks for a super week!
