This newly painted luxury one-bedroom apartment with recently refurbished bathroom is available to rent for short and long terms stays. There is a good sized bedroom with king size bed and wardrobe, and a large semi open-plan kitchen and reception room with a comfortable double sofa bed. The kitchen has all the appliances you could need including dishwasher and washing machine.
The flat is on the 4th floor (top) of a modern block converted from offices in the late 1990s. A lift is available serving all floors. Both the bedroom and living room are bathed with light in the afternoon and evening and benefit from views towards the city, including the 'Gherkin' and the new 'Shard' and 'Cheese grater' towers.
Plumbers Row is a quiet street in Aldgate, right next to Brick Lane, famous for its curry houses and bars. Shoreditch is only a few minutes away in a taxi or bus. There is a local park for relaxing in the sun, just 1 street away.
We are a few minutes walk from Aldgate East underground station (District and Hammersmith & City lines), and the famous Brick Lane.
Buses run 24 hours from stops at the end of the road, right into the West End. Within 15 minutes you can be at Oxford Street, and within 20 minutes at the Westfield shopping centre in Stratford. There is a Barclays Bike rack at the end of the street.
This is a strictly non smoking listing, for the benefit of our future guests, any evidence of smoking will result in a £100 deep cleaning levy. Please note pets are not allowed in the building. Cancellation policy: Full refund available 30 days prior to your stay. 50% refund available from 30 until 7 days before your stay. 25% refund available 7 to 1 days before your stay. Location was great,just 10 mins from the tube, heaps of services nearby - supermarket, restaurants, convenience stores, bottle shops, etc. Is in zone 1 for the the tube and whilst we grabbed the tube most days it was cheaper in a cab to Kings Cross on our last day so keep that in mind if you leave/arrive via there. The welcome was great and Ian was readily available via messaging for any queries we had. There was the four of us, 2 adults and two kids (12 & 9) so if yours don't mind sharing a Spacious pull out sofa then highly recommended for all mid sized families or couples. Thanks heaps guys.
My family of four loved our stay at Ian's apartment, it was a few mins from Aldgate tube stop, and being near Tesco supermarket it was very convenient. Location is great too, one tube stop away from Tower hill and near to all London attraction. If you are into curry, Brick Lane a few blocks away you will find lots of options, there is also a starbucks on way to the tube stop. The flat being on top is actually pretty quiet, it has everything - washer, dishwasher, kitchen and fridge, so it worked out perfectly for us. My impression of Lucy and Ian were very nice, hospitable and responsive to communicate. Would love to stay there again
The apartment is well equipped and the washer/ dryer is a real plus. I especially liked the sofa bed which is very easy to put up and extremely comfortable. But where the apartment really scores is its location. Five minutes walking takes you to supermarket, tube, bus stop, park and a few minutes more and your into Spitalfields, Brick Lane and Bangla Town with huge choice of food and shops. Fascinating area of London would love to come again.
My family and I had an excelent stay. The apartment was exactly as we had seen on the website. Well located (near the subway), spacious, clean, with all the necessary infrastructure, we spent a pleasant week there. We were greeted by Lucy, representing the owner Ian Palmer. She was extremely kind, friendly and helpful. During our stay, she responded immediately the messages that we sent her. It was worth staying in this apartment. Everything was perfect.
We stayed in Ian's flat for 2 nights. The flat was clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect - just a short 20 min walk to the London Tower and the Tower Bridge. Ian was super helpful with guidance for directions around the city and offered great recommendations for dining and the London nightlife. He also left us a little basket with some treats, which was a great surprise. I would highly recommend staying here!
We were very satisfied staying in this nice flat. We love the location and stayed there with 3 persons. It was clean. The shopping facilities are very good. It´s lovely close to the Tower (bridge). We recommended the flat already to our friends!
