The house or villa is in a quiet residential part of Collioure. It has modern, high quality fixtures and fittings throughout. .

The master bedroom has a double bed and french windows on to a balcony with sweeping sea views. The second bedroom has two single beds. The bathroom has twin Vanity sinks, a bath and over bath shower. There are two seperate toillets.

Downstairs is an american style kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher and microwave, and the adjoining eating/ living area has a table to seat four in comfort, Futon sofa bed , flat screen television and free satellite TV channels and WiFi .

There is a balcony area through the french windows complete with a small table and chairs, perfect for sitting with a drink and book and watching the boats go past on the sea in front of you.

The house has shared use of a good sized swimming pool which is open from June to september.

The house is a gentle walk, mainly along the seafront, into the centre of Collioure.

The centre of collioure has ample restaurants, bars, shops a local market and artists ateliers (studios)

There is also only a 20 minute walk to get you to the active fishing port of Port Vendres where you can still see fisherman bring in their catch each day.

I was schooled within walking distance of a beach on the South coast of England and now live in the centre of England, hence the desire to have somewhere by the sea

Why Mark Hamlet chose Collioure

We looked at many places in the region but as we drove down the hill into Collioure the whole family became excited. We have now been coming here for many years but never tire of the place or its views

What makes this house unique

Sitting on one of our two balconies, sipping a favourite drink and gazing out at the mediterranean instantly makes one relax

"The house is very well located in Collioure : quiet area, but nearby the center (15-minute walk), although the road is a bit steep at the end when you get bak to the house. I have to mention that we were there with our 3-year old boy, and that my wife is 4-month pregnant, and we could still easily get back to the house walking.

The view from the house is amazing : waking up seeing the sea from your bed is wonderful. Having two terrasses is also quite a luxury...

There were place to park our car juste outside th house.

A turquoise water pool is available in the housing estate, and it's very nice. You can have shadow from sun blockers.

The house is very well furnished, and clean.

I would definitly recommend this house or rent it again in the future."

A lovely, well equipped apartment

This is a lovely apartment and we had a fantastic time. The kitchen is well equipped (with a particularly impressive collection of chopping knives - a bugbear of ours is that holiday apartments often have terrible knives!) - there are two hobs, and a microwave which also does roasting, grilling etc. The large living room leads onto a nice balcony with great sea views. Upstairs the two bedrooms are comfortable (one has a balcony) and the bathroom is very nice. The apartment is a walk from the town - no more than 15 minutes unless you have dawdling kids in tow as we did. Collioure itself is a nice place, with lots of places to eat, a series of small beaches and a great harbour walk. If you like massive sandy beaches then Argeles, about 15 minute drive away, is a good bet.

Amazing location & home from home

A perfect location between Collioure & Port Vendres this house is a fantastic place to stay. The property is very well equipped and has superb views of the sea from its 2 balconies. We have stayed in several properties in this area over the last 10 years and this is the only one we have returned to, this year for the third time. The pool area is immaculately maintained and, even at the height of the summer season, is quiet and secluded. The property is extremely well maintained and the owners make the booking process very straight forward and easy. There are so many wonderful places to visit in the area and eating out is an absolute dream! The weather was superb - around 30 degrees every day - the best we've ever had. We will definitely stay again in the future.

Great apartment in a beautiful holiday resort

Great apartment with lovely views and a shared pool. A lovely walk to the town with it's gorgeous beaches, harbour and castle. The apartment was exactly as described and very clean and well kept. The pool area was very secure and maintained to a high standard. The town itself is definitely one if the prettiest we've visited. Would happily recommend both resort and apartment to family and friends. Thank you, we had a lovely holiday.

Excellent accommodations!

Our family of three totally enjoyed our stay in Mark Hamlet's place in Collioure! The home is indeed beautiful and fully equipped (including Wifi). The views from both balconies are gorgeous. The development where the house is located is an invigorating and lovely 15-20 minute walk into town, which is imperative as parking in Collioure can be a challenge. There is also a beautiful walk up the hill behind the house up to the windmill and the fort (with museum) at the top. We were there before the pool season, but that would be a nice addition to a lovely accommodation. We recommend it highly!

The property was lovely and was fully equipped. Everything was very clean and bedding of a high standard. The balconies were a real bonus and the views of the sea were spectacular. It was easy to walk into town and harbour along the sea front and we did this every day. There is also a bus service costing€1 that can take you into town or along the cost and to Perpignan. Would love to go back to the appartment next year. It was perfect for us.

Great accomodation in beautiful Collioure

Our family stayed in this property for 1 week at the end of May. We found the accommodation was very suitable for our family of five - although there are only 2 bedrooms there was access to a pull out bed in the sitting room and this worked well for our needs. The property was well maintained and was within walking distance of the village although it is an uphill return walk. Car parking is very restricted in the village so it is important that you are prepared to walk. Collioure is a beautiful place and we would highly recommend it as a holiday destination. The owner was very helpful and we would have no hesitation in recommending his property.

Collioure is an ancient fishing village nestled between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. Known as the gem of the Roussillon coast. The four small bays and beaches of Collioure are flanked by a 13th century castle and a medieval church. This most charming and picturesque village full of tradition and history captivated the imagination of painters Matisse and Derain who stayed in Collioure in 1905. Even today many artists have their ateliers in the centre of the village.
