About Patricia Marijan Kaps

We are a young couple living in a city of Rijeka, port in the north of the Adriatic. I am a lawyer and my husband is an economist. Because of our work we don't have much time to enjoy the island, but we use every free moment to visit our family in Hvar.

Why Patricia Marijan Kaps chose Croatia

The stone house in the village Pitve is the birthplace of my father and an old family home that was built 200 years ago.

We decided to renew the house and two apartments in a tastefull manner trying to keep the spirit of the island and the way of life on the island.

We traveled a lot in recent years and we decided to provide you with accommodation that we would choose for ourselves. So we put our heart into making it a place that makes you feel at home.

My parents Vjeko and Josipa, who lives in the house, make their own wine and olive oil, they have their own garden with all natural and bio products that you can try. My father is also great in making barbecue so he will be happy to prepare it for you. Considering that my parents live in the same house there are at you service if you need and help.

What makes this apartment unique

you are looking for a place to unwind from everyday stories, a place to fall in love again, as we did, this is a place to come.

Our logo is “Feels like home” so all we expect is for our guests to be as if you were at home in a magical Pitve.

"We felt very well, in an apartment nice built in a house of stone, with porch and the canopy of vines. It has narrow village streets, shaded by tall stone walls, the hosts are very amiable and island has many interesting places to discover. There are many beaches in old towns and beautiful bays like the "little Venice".We have returned we go on the scan. Maybe at the end of June when they pick up lavender or fall than to pick up vineyards and olive trees. It has been a wonderful holiday.

Accogliente e caratteristica.

  • 5 of 5

Bellissima vacanza!

  • 5 of 5

Come trovarsi a casa

  • 5 of 5

Consigliata!

Splendide Pitve

  • 5 of 5

2 Settimane come a casa propria

  • 5 of 5

Pitve is believed to be the most ancient village on the island of Hvar, established long before Greek island settlement in 384 BC. Hidden on a mountainside and overlooking the sea, it is just as ideally-located now as it was in ancient times! Nowdays, the cosmopolitan residents enjoy their close proximity to the sea as well as their retreat in the relaxing privacy of Pitve!

Pitve is a small village, entirely built in stone, located in the heart of the island of Hvar. Its location makes it a very peaceful place, ideal for a relaxing holiday, away from the stress of every day. Pitve is situated in a privileged and strategical position, prime location for trekking and discovering nature, for reaching the beaches of both sides of the island and exploring the whole island.

Because of its very convenient location and defensive possibilities, Pitve has preserved centuries old architecture of a typical Dalmatian village. It will fascinate every visitor with its tightly bound stone houses, narrow paved streets and small squares where history hides behind the wooden shutters, while the irrefutable harmony of human creativity and nature leaps out of almost every scene. On the slope between the two settlements of Pitve is the parish church of St. Jacob built in 1877 from where you have an extraordinary panoramic view and if you walk to Gornje Pitve you will enjoy a magnificent view: Veliko polje, Jelsa, the island of Brač, Hvar channel, Makarska riviera. In Pitve during the highest summer temperatures you can enjoy the fresh cool breeze and comfortable nights, while the clean untouched nature with which this village has harmoniously merged has given it an inevitable charm. From Pitve, from the pass of Vratnik, starts an old serpentine path which leads to Zavala over the hill of St. Antony (550 m), as does a tunnel 1400 m long which exits on the south side of the island of Hvar and leads to Zavala, Ivan Dolac and Sveta Nedjelja.

Only 2 km away from Pitve there is a small seaside town Jelsa where you can find bars, shops, markets, restaurants, bank, post office, bus station, harbor, and everything else you might need during your stay.

Also 2.5 km from the house to the north or 5 km from the house to the south of the island, you can find a different beach with sand, open or well hidden and rocky places for swimming and other adventures at sea.

Nearby are the fields of olives, vines, plants and flowers. The place is well known and recommended by many doctors to live because of the conditions of nature and microclimate throughout the year.
