Overview

About the property

4 Bedroom/2 Bath House At The Entrance To Shelby Bottoms Greenways.

Although this home sits in the middle of nature with a huge park and paved trails right in its backyard, it is just minutes away from some of Nashville's hottest establishments including nationally recognized restaurants, music venues, bars, and eclectic shops. It's not far from Downtown Nashville and also less than 10 minutes to the Opry area. If you want to live like a local and enjoy the outdoors, you'll love it here.

We are a compliant vacation rental home in Nashville. Please help support short term rentals in Nashville by renting from fully permitted homes.

This completely renovated 2,200+ square foot home has a spacious kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, huge living room plus den, four bedrooms including a large master suite with a freshly remodeled spa-like bathroom, and one additional bathroom. Light pours into the living space as windows overlook the scenic park. Fully stocked kitchen sits between the dining room and exterior deck for easy access for those who wish to entertain. A deck looks privately onto the huge and luscious trees of Shelby Bottoms Park with owls, rabbits, tree frogs, and deer making frequent appearances in the backyard. As the Cumberland River is right around the corner, the General Jackson riverboat cruise can be heard in the distance with its lively music.

Guests have access to the full house, yard, off street parking in the driveway, and direct entrance into the Shelby Bottoms Greenways. The Greenways are miles and miles of paved biking and walking trails extending throughout East Nashville all the way to Downtown Nashville, plus over to the Donelson/Opry areas, Mount Juliet, and beyond. Everybody from marathon runners to competitive cyclists to families taking leisurely strolls enjoy the tree-lined paths along the river, and hiking trails add a little diversion to the paths.

Free wi-fi and cable are provided, with a large flat screen in the living room.

Inside, the kitchen is fully stocked with newer appliances (fridge, dishwasher, stove, microwave), a toaster, blender, coffee maker, tea kettle, dishes, pots/pans, and spices.

A new full-sized washer and dryer is available to guests free of charge, and is convenient to the four bedrooms.

The reason we purchased this home was because it seemed to be the perfect blend between having city conveniences with wide open spaces and nature in the backyard. Megan is a city girl, Adam is more of a country loving boy, and this awesome location fulfilled both needs. The Greenways are amazing and having the river within steps helped calm our desire to be near water. Riverside Village is less than a five minute drive and includes: 1. Nationally recognized Mitchell Deli, which was featured on TLC's America's Best Sandwich. 2. Village Pub neighborhood bar with locally famous Moscow Mules and pretzel sandwiches. 3. Rudie's Sausage and Seafood with excellent food and cocktails, and one of our favorite new brunch spots. 4. Castrillo's Pizza with by the slice during the day and delivery at night. 5. Dose Cafe and Dram Bar serves great coffee plus cocktails, and is a great place to work remotely. 6. Riverside Pharmacy for medical needs or items you forgot to pack, plus a doctor's office next door that allows walk ins. 7. Fond Object carries vinyl. New shops are being added often. East Nashville's gorgeous historic neighborhoods, nationally recognized restaurants, music venues, and bars are an easy few minute drive or Uber/Lyft/Cab ride away.

About Adam and Megan

Adam is from Michigan and Megan is from California via Nevada and Texas. We met and became friends while both working at a performance rights organization. Over our years of friendship, our relationship evolved romantically, and we married in 2013.

Our love for Nashville is very much related to our love for each other.. two persons from very different parts of the country coming together in one awesome place.

Adam is a self professed IT 'geek', Megan is a Realtor and singer/songwriter.

Adam Rides a motorcycle, Megan rides on the back telling Adam where to go...

We like to go boating when possible and travel when we can. We love Savannah, Ga., Mackinac Island, Mi., N.O.L.A., San Francisco and Honeymooned in Costa Rica. Any one of the aforementioned places we have dreamed about moving to, but our hearts reside in Nashville.

We were recently blessed with our first child, Liam. We look forward to being an adventurous threesome instead of a duo.

Adam and Megan purchased this house in 2012

Guestbook comments from the owner

Rick and I wanted to thank you so much for the opportunity to stay in your beautiful house on Saturday night. We couldn’t have been more comfortable. My husband even remarked about how quiet everything was during the night. We enjoyed our weekend with Amy and Ryan and it was peace of mind to be so close to them with convenience, comfort and a good night’s rest. Thanks so much for accommodating us.

Lovely time in Music City

  • 5 of 5

Megan and Adam were great to deal with, and their home was lovely. About a 15-20 minute UBer Drive to downtown. The trails right behind the house were extremely enjoyed. We also saw deer the majority of time we went on them. Nice neighbourhood. Would rent from them again.

This was the perfect location for our family vacation.

  • 5 of 5

The house is spacious. We had everything we needed. The trail behind the house was a bonus. We utilized it everyday walking/running. We enjoyed seeing the deer. I would stay here again and highly recommend for families.

A Hidden Gem

This is a wonderful home - private and cozy. The four of us girls had so much fun and the owners are precious. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Beautiful home in quiet neighborhood!

  • 4 of 5

This home was perfect for our group of seven friends. The living room set up was perfect for watching TV or movies, or just talking. Unfortunately, the TV antenna was causing problems. Adam and Megan were very responsive to this issue, and even though it could not be fixed during our visit, we were able to watch the news on ROKU. This was fine as we didn't go to Nashville to watch TV!

The kitchen was well stocked for a rental....even with coffee and filters!

Nice spacious bedrooms and comfy beds. Our group generally likes 3 bathrooms, but we made it work. There was plenty of hot water for everyone, which was a big plus!'

Thanks, Adam and Megan,
