This 3 bedroom, 3 bath villa includes all the high end amenities you would expect. The master bedroom is spacious and includes a extremely comfy king size bed. The en suite master bath includes a Jacuzzi pool and a separate shower with multiple shower heads for that great after-beach rinse. The second and third bedrooms include en suite bathrooms with similar luxurious showers. This unit is two stories with a outdoor second floor with a private pool. The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances and top end cabinetry.
The villas many patios provide cool breezes and amazing ocean views. Enjoy your morning coffee watching the sunrise and your cocktail hour watching the sunset. Watch for dolphins and the occasional whale while you are at it. There is even a toucan that makes an appearance now and then.
Finished with your coffee? Head upstairs to the spacious roof deck and soak up the sun in your private pool with ocean views
The property is right on the beach where you can enjoy the pool, kayaking, volleyball with friends, or lunch/dinner at the open air restaurant and bar.
If you are looking to spend some time on the community beaches for access to deep sea fishing excursions, parasailing, glass bottom boating, the local market, etc, its a 15 minute walk away.
Roatan has been featured on House Hunter's International two times as a largely still undiscovered piece of paradise with world class diving and snorkeling. PLEASE NOTE: If you are traveling to Honduras you must have a passport valid six months from your date of arrival in Honduras. Please make sure you have a passport valid for this time frame.
Our family of five including 3 energetic young women (teenagers) all enjoy the many activities right on property. Of course when Mom and Dad would rather just relax, its always nice to be able to keep an eye on them from either the unit's front deck or the open air bar/restaurant
Chris and Molly McKillip purchased this villa in 2014
The property combines all the things you would want in a luxury vacation rental. Outdoor activities, wildlife, beach, and all in a private and safe environment. Its perfect for either a family vacation or a romantic getaway
Molly and Chris did everything to make the stay great. Snorkeling in front of the property was the best of all the areas. The only inconvenience was not being able to use the washer and dryer locked in the condo and the walk to town requires good stamina! Getting to and from the airport was very expensive!!!
The condo is on the upper level and has a great view of the beach below and ocean. Well equipped; comfortable, great memory foam mattresses. The pool is great and well maintained and the restaurant on premises very good (they cooked our fresh fish from deep sea fishing and the wasabi tuna was amazing!). There is good snorkeling but it is a little tricky to navigate to around rocks and sea grass and you may prefer to hike over to West Bay Beach and go there. About the hike, we were a little concerned from other reviews, but it is first of all totally safe. Secondly it is steep and you will get some exercise, but not grueling, all on paved roads (one portion not lit), and about 10 minutes till you are on the sand at West Bay. We liked being off the busy beach but close enough to get there quickly. One thing to be aware of is that there is not a washer and dryer available on premises, but the owners were super helpful connecting us with the on site laundry service (as well as connecting us with rides, answering questions, great to work with). I highly recommend this listing; we will definitely be back!
This is our second time to stay at the Meridian. We are a family of 6. We always have a great time here. We think it's the best location in Roatan. We're very close to all the activities at West Bay but not in the middle of it. Of all the reefs we've snorkled in the area, the best is just in front of us. We spend a lot of time in the water since the reef is so beautiful in front of the Meridian.
The home is just as described. There's plenty of room for our party of 6. The view from the balcony is the best. We spend a lot of time on the balcony and the top deck with private pool. You can't find a better spot to watch boats and cruise ships passing by.
We also love the Kismet restaurant that's onsite. Super casual with great food and a super view.
I highly recommend this property for your vacation.
We stayed at this appartment during March 2016 and had an overall fantastic time. The appartment is very comfortable with 3 bedrooms to accomodate 6 people or so, plus a sofa which turns into a bed if needed on the family area. It has all you need to feel as if you were at your own appartment. The location is quite nice at it is on the very tip of the island, the views are incredible, sunset is beatiful, etc. The main pool for the condo is nice and sufficiently large, suitable for childreen as well as it has different depths. You do have some beach where you can get in, it is rocky so I suggest to take water shoes to enjoy that part even better. Our childreen had a great time with their water shoes. If you need an even better and sandy beach you have west bay which is 10 minutes walk or 2 minutes by car. If your intention is to see more of the island's attractions (plenty to do and discover throughout), the best alternative is to rent a vehicle. We had a minor issue with the fridge but nothing important. The main bbq on the top floor on the appartment is not working currently, but the owner managed to provide a spare one which worked just fine for what we wanted to do. We fully enjoyed this property, certainly would consider staying at the same place if we return one day.
We spent one week in March at this beautiful villa. The views are amazing, the private beach and amenities are wonderful. We spent the first night staying on property watching the sunset while eating and drinking at Kismet. The rest of the week we spent a lot of time at West Bay as well as West End which were quite busy, which was fun, but I always enjoyed getting back to our quieter private getaway where you always had a lounge chair at the beach or the beautiful new pool. It almost felt like we were on a private island. Lots of fun people at the property which included both visitors and staff. Made a lot of friends with other vacationers and spent a lot of time also visiting with Victor, Kathy, Gwen, Merra, Tony, Ed and Kai ... all permanent residents. Anything you want to do on the island Victor can help you set up. The villa itself is beautiful, beds and pillows are some of the most comfortable we've stayed in, every amenity you'd need is included in the kitchen, bathrooms etc. (except washer/dryer). If you have any problems you are given a phone to contact Gwen, Victor or Ed to help you with right away (side note ... the phone will only work if you are out on the back patio with reception) and you can usually find them on the property as well by just walking outside. Wifi is spotty but easy to get from one corner of the pool and sometimes from the back bedrooms so you're not completely cut off if you need to reach people. But hey, we were on vacation so didn't want to be on our devices anyway except in case of emergency. If you like snorkeling you can head toward West Bay by just getting into water next to Kizmet and swimming around the point. We rented a car because although we are all in good shape the 10 minute walk over hill to West Bay is pretty strenuous and we didn't want to get ready for dinner etc. and have to make that trek. Plus, at night, it is pitch black coming home ! Kayaks are available right on property which were fun to use. I was surprised (maybe I just misunderstood and thought they were included) but we got a charged at the end of the stay for $10 each time we used them. Not a big deal and I think it had more to do with the developer of the property who lives onsite because the girl handing us the bill seemed apologetic giving it to us (the developer was standing nearby). Any construction going on around property does not impact guests at all in my opinion. Overall fantastic stay !
Our group of 3 couples had a fabulous time at this lovely second floor condo on the ocean's edge on the west tip of Roatan. We had plenty of room with our own bedroom and bathroom for each couple . The pool was fabulous, sandy beach and snorkel opportunity within the complex second to none, and restaurants/night life within a short 15 mins. walk, a bonus. Our few issues included no usable bbq grill and no solid internet or cell phone coverage in the unit. It was available on the pool deck just outside the condo though. The Meridian had some construction going on but this did not interfere with our wonderful week in the sun.
