Overview

About the property

2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, 2 Miles North Of Forks On The Sol Duc River

Great cabin located 2 miles north of Forks on the world famous Sol Duc River. This very comfortable, all cedar cabin, has 2 bedrooms with queen beds, 1 bathroom with a shower/tub combination, Direct TV, wireless internet, is fully furnished and has a washer and dryer. We're close to the Olympic National Park's greatest attractions; the Hoh Rain Forest and it's ancient, moss covered trees, the numerous ocean beaches (2nd Beach is our favorite), Sol Duc Hot Springs, and the rugged Northwest Coast area along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Right here on the river, eagles soar overhead, otters play, and fish migrate home. It's the same river where Edward of 'Twilight' fame lives and hunts with his family.

Absolutely Amazing Stay!

  • 5 of 5

My husband is a dedicated hiker, so I wanted to take him to the Hoh Rainforest for his birthday. We had never used VRBO before, but there aren’t many hotels in Forks so we decided to try it; I’m SO thankful we did! This cabin is beautiful, and the owners take amazing care of it.

From outside it doesn’t look very big, but the inside is incredible. The décor was just what we were hoping for: log cabin look and feel. The interior architecture is beautiful, and the entire cabin is perfectly decorated and very, very clean. The cabin has a full-sized and fully-stocked kitchen, comfortable living room, two bedrooms with dressers and closets, and a bathroom which includes a sink, toilet, and bathtub/shower. The owners also provide wi-fi and satellite dish for entertainment, which is definitely my style of camping!

In addition to this, you can walk right out the back door onto the deck (which has a full-sized grill), cross the lawn, and have a spectacular view of the Sol Duc River! The owners have provided a table with chairs for dining and a pair of outdoor “rocking chairs,” which look out over the river. The cabin is also extremely well stocked with necessities; we brought a lot of supplies and didn’t need any of it!

The cabin’s location is also in a prime position for anything you might be interested in doing during your visit. When driving, downtown Forks is less than 5 minutes away, La Push (1st, 2nd, and 3rd beaches) is approximately 20 minutes, and the Hoh Rainforest Visitor’s Center is about 1 hour; we couldn’t have been more pleased!

Our biggest disappointment was the cabin is already booked the week my parents are visiting in June, so we can’t stay here again. From the location to the architecture to the décor and friendly owners, you can’t find a better cabin in Forks, WA. This is truly our dream vacation home, and we can’t wait to come back and stay here again!

Beautiful area

  • 3 of 5

We rented in November and had hoped we could fish. No such luck. It rained everyday. Cabin was adequately maintained with all you really need for a few days. The worst was probably the dog kennel next to bedrooms and dog barking early in morning. We left a day early. No water access near cabin but a beautiful view of river.

Owner's Response: I would like to apologize again for the dog barking. The dog doesn't live here, but we were watching him for a few weeks and we had to leave early that morning and put him in the kennel. In the past, he's stayed inside and was quiet. He is now back in Idaho with his owners. If we watch him again, we will make other arrangements so this doesn't happen again. I know you were very disappointed the rivers were out and you were unable to fish. In a typical November, it rains almost 18 inches, mostly coming in waves of several inches or more in a period of a day or two. In October, the rivers were closed because the water was too low. There is access to the river here and there is a great fishing hole right in front of our property. However, the water was too high to get down the trail.

Loved our time here

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is perfectly located to explore the Olympic peninsula. It was perfect for our group of three and was well supplied for all our needs. We walked down to the beautiful area by the river and can imagine having coffee out there on warmer mornings. We loved coming back to the cabin after our full days of exploration. Would recommend to anyone!

Rustic cabin

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable cabin just north of Forks. Well equipped kitchen and the owners have thought of all the amenities. The bed was a little worn (saggy) in one bedroom so we moved to the other which was fine. The only thing which would have made it cozier is to have had a wood burning stove or fireplace. This was b/c the weather was a little damp and cool during our stay in mid September. In the summer, it's probably not missed and the baseboard heat did work well.

Great cabin in a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We were greeted when we arrived by Randy as we pulled up the the Cabin which had the most beautiful presentation of flowers and other greenery out front. The cabin was lovely and had everything we needed the beds were comfortable and plenty of places to put clothing and other items. Everything you needed was supplied in the kitchen with extra room to put groceries. The best part was being able to bring breakfast to the table and just sit and watch the river below it was wonderful to have my morning coffee out there and watch the fish! What a treat that was. The cabin is also in a great location to explore the Olympic peninsula we ventured to many places while we were here and got to see so much wildlife! Thanks for letting us stay here!!
