Our family of 5 loved staying in this charming home on the beach! The host was wonderful, she had everything set up and welcomed us personally. The furniture is beautiful and comfortable, beds were fabulous with views of the ocean each morning! And the deck was the icing on the cake - we spent tons of time on the glorious trex deck with lovely furniture. We had coffee and breakfast there and evening nightcaps. Perfect! This was our third stay at this property, each time for several weeks or a month. Highly recommend to anyone that wants to feel 'at home' on vacation!
I rented this property for the single purpose of having a family vacation at the beach. I had previously seen the various Hollywood and L. A. attractions and wasn't interested in them. Driving from the airport was very easy and took about ten minutes. The only driving we did was to Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Manhattan Beach as well as Ralphs grocery stores and a couple of restaurants. We never had to get involved with the dreaded LA traffic. The location was exactly as described with a fabulous 180 degree view of the ocean from the roof top deck and a three minute walk to the beach. We watched the sunset from the deck 5 of the 7 nights we were there. Really nice. When we arrived at this property the first thing that happened was the key broke of in the lock. I contacted the owner by phone and although she was in Europe she was able to get the situation rectified within five minutes. Impressive! The house was as described and everything we needed to live there for a week was available. The beds were comfortable and the owner made available a pack and play for the 12 month old baby and a blow up mattress that was comfortable. We had one couple, three single adults each needing a separate sleeping location and a baby. We knew going in we would be a little cramped for space since there are three bedrooms but it was easy to make do. I assume the televisions work but we never turned them on.
The beach was very wide and amazingly uncrowded. It was nothing like the throngs of people at Santa Monica and Venice. There is a great paved walking/biking path on the beach that gets much use. There were three adult bicycles available at the unit all in great condition. I rode to Venice beach twice ( about 25 minutes one way and you had to get on the road a little bit at the end and the route was well marked). Two of us rode to Manhattan beach (about 15 minutes and entirely on the beach) as well. The ocean temp was great and we spent a lot of time in the water. We are all body surfers and there was a great place for it to the left of the closest life guard stand. Venice beach was even better for that or boogie boarding. We enjoyed walking in the immediate housing neighborhood seeing lots of different styles of homes and plant life.
The only down side to this property is the jet traffic which is loud and frequent.
Everyone enjoyed their stay and would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Wonderful home, great location, and very peaceful. I would recommend this home to anyone interested in a very clean home with great access to the beach and PRIVATE parking. The rooftop was fabulous. Thank you so very much!!!
This home was perfect for our stay - stayed almost a month and loved every minute of it. Victoria was a super accommodating hostess. The home was clean and beautiful and she made things so easy from start to finish. I highly recommend this rental.
This is a perfect gem! The location to the ocean and many other of LA's highlights is perfect. The house exceeded our expectations. The house is very clean, comfortable, well organized and a very good value! The owner is responsive...more like a gracious host! From the top deck we enjoyed the nightly spectacular sunsets over the ocean! Hope to return again!
If you're looking for a home away from the busy beaches and tourist traps, this is the place for you. Great restaurants and shopping are very close via car. The home has all the amenities you would expect in a rental home, is clean and in a safe location. The best thing is the roof top deck which has great views of the Pacific! Most of our time was spent here. Victoria was kind and always checked up on us to see if we needed anything. I'll be staying here when I come back to LA.
