|Minimum Stay||4 - 7 nights|
Just 10 minutes away from Imperia, in the heart of the San Lorenzo valley - at the top of the hill that overlooks the sea – there is Costarainera, a little village still untouched by mass tourism.
Our house is open to everyone and sleeps 11. The options are:
- A unique big 4-storey apartment with a terrace overlooking the mountains and the sea
- An apartment for 5
- An apartment for 9
You can choose one of these 3 options… and you will always be the only guests of the house! Casa Carlo has a strong personality and each bedroom has different furniture from the others; the fully equipped kitchens are located on the ground floor and on the terrace. Our guests will have everything they need!
Casa Carlo is a 3-storey house situated in the city’s old town, which is also Wi-Fi zone, and features stone walls and an independent entrance. The house has plenty of space where you can read, listen to music, or simply relax. The terrace is perfect in every season and features big table with chairs, parasols, barbecue, lots of silence, and a beautiful view of the sea, the olive grove, and the hills
If you are looking to relax, you can decide not to move from your house and simply admire the sea under the shade of a comfortable parasol on the terrace.
In winter, the house becomes enchanting thanks to its independent heating system.
The natural stone, the white whitewashed walls, the vaulted ceiling, the black slate staircase and the fireplace make this house perfect!
Casa Carlo has a unique history and tradition.
Mine is a very long story that I prefer to tell my guests on arrival!
Casa Carlo has a very interesting story that dates to the eighteenth century.
The kitchen on the ground floor was once where the animals were kept. On the facade, there is still an iron ring where mules, once used as means of transport to the olive groves, were tied.
The upper floor was home to the women who once picked the olives, but it has been recently modified except for the stone facade and the layout of the rooms.
Enjoy your holiday in our house if you want to regenerate and relax: you will be at walking distance from the sea and you need never feel stressed! In July and August there is a bus service available from the beach of San Lorenzo to Costarainera and Marina degli Aregai / S.Stefano, which comes back to San Lorenzo al Mare.
Some of my ancestors were born in these valleys, which is the reason why I immediately fell in love with this house. Its owners were German and had partially renovated it, but not modified it. When the house became mine, I wanted to keep the slate staircase, the whitewashed walls, and the vaulted ceilings in some rooms.
Every room has different furniture and colours, for example in the kitchen there is a nineteenth-century Occitan cupboard and a coffee machine of the 1930... This house is one of a kind!
"For the second time we spent a week in this lovely house. The terrace is alone worth the price... A beautful view. The nearest town, San Lorenzo, has nice beaches. We will really recommend this place, and are sure to come back another time."
"This is a fantastic place, and we have already recomended it to all our friends. The wiew from the roof-terrace is alone worth the stay. The rest of the house provides enough space for everyone. We were 7 adult and two children, and it was never crowded.
The town of Costarainera (and Cipressa) is quiet and very nice, with a small shop that have what you need. The restaurant in Cipressa is also highly recomended.
We were very pleased with our stay, and are already planning to go back next summer...."
"We enjoyed our stay at the house. We were 2 families and the house accommodated us well. We were able to all be together on the ground floor meals area and not be crowded, and also the top floor terrace - with magnificent views. The other 2 floors of sleeping rooms are well set out and provided ample space for when we wanted time apart. We even got used to all the stairs - which kept our waistlines thin after indulging in the wonderful local cuisine - and kept the children entertained for hours! The town of Costarainera is wonderfully peaceful - yet only a short drive from some magnificent sight-seeing. We had small children with us and they loved the local park which was only a short walk from the house. We would not hesitate to recommend this house and would definately stay again."
"Everything was in conformity with the descriptions given.
The only weakness was that it was found a bit hard to warm by some of us.
But it's a typical ancient house in such a lovely village. It's very a quiet and comfortable place.
The owner is kind and efficient.
I would never rent another place if i come back."
;) Sehr gerne wieder!
