Thanks again for everything - and GO BISON!
We had a wonderful four night stay attending a football game and visiting relatives. Christine was a lovely host preparing the refrigerator with breakfast supplies. Although we did not use the kitchen facilities, the kitchen was very well stocked with plates, dishes and utensils. The home was very comfortably nestled amongst beautiful older homes in a park-like neighborhood. We would highly recommend this property.
This place is phenomenal! The homeowner has it set up like a top notch hotel with all the amenities and conveniences. They even buy breakfast items for you during your stay. House is beautiful, spacious and relaxing. Very quiet neighborhood, especially important in a college town. However, it is walking distance to campus, pubs, and restaurants.
I would recommend to anyone traveling to Ames for both a short or extended stay.
Details matter!!! A wonderful quiet three day treat. These owners have their PHD"s in hospitality. This is a well appointed immaculately clean and comfortable home. An air of excellence wafted us on our entrance to the home. Each furnishing, quality of sheets, dinnerware and breakfast provided!!!! Everything we forgot at home was there for us and more. We even had enough hot water for three showers in a row in early morning, how often does that happen in any rental!! Kudos Christine and David!!! The whole family gives this home a 5++. If there is anything I believe would be a nice addition; that would be a fire pit and nice outdoor space . I also want to mention that Christine s availability was appreciated a great deal.
We were in town for the Odyssey of the Mind world finals. What a beautiful home to retreat to after crazy days on the ISU campus! Located in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood, this home has everything to make you feel at home. Christine and David are gracious hosts. As others have noted, they stock the kitchen with everything you might want for your first breakfast: eggs, bacon, bread, milk, juice, fresh fruit, etc. My wife has dietary restrictions, so Christine helped us locate a grocery store and restaurants that would accommodate our needs. We would definitely stay here again!
We found this treasure after discovering (last fall) that graduation time in Ames means all the hotels and other B&B's are booked full. It was perfect for our weekend, because it was peaceful, quiet and within walking distance to the College of Design where our son graduated on Saturday. Christine and David met us when we arrived later than planned, to give us a tour and the keys. The house has been restored in a very neat, modern way, and had everything we needed ready for us. Would definitely recommend this home to anyone wanting a place to relax and enjoy a few days in Ames. Christine and David are wonderful hosts.
