Delightful 3 BR/1.5 bath renovated cottage with bucolic private yard, deck, victorian fireplace, french doors, washer/dryer; walk to festivals, main street cafes, shops, restaurants, waterfront, short bike to Owl's Head light & beaches, minutes to Camden Harbor, golf at famed Samoset Resort 8 minutes away. Quiet private street. North Atlantic Blues Festival, Rockland Lobster Festival, BOats & Harbors Festival, top rated restaurants, Farnsworth Museum, etc all happening here!
I love to bike to the beaches here, read a novel, checkout the indy music scene on Main Street, take in Farnsworth exhibits, take a ferry to the islands and explore, enjoy the top restaurants like PRIMO in Rockland

Bucolic easy living, charming other world feel, snug and cozy, with lovely appointments, relaxed,
yesteryear feel, modern appointments, comfy, oh so private back yard, walk to the fun stuff
We loved this charming cottage with plenty of space for all. Everything about the rental was easy, from booking to departure. Plenty of helpful information and a quiet street just a short walk to the heart of town.
The house in Beech Street is nice and rather spacious for three grown ups. The property lies in a nice and quiet neighborhood. You can easily walk to the Center of Rockland, the Harbor, Farnsworth Museum, the Ferry, to numerous Shops and Restaurants. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The informations given to us by the owner ware useful and sufficient.
Although we had paid a cleaning fee, we were asked to clean and dry the laundry by ourselves before we left.
I would Review our stay in Rockland therefore with 4 and a half stars. Unfortunately I wasn't able to divide the last star.
Our week spent at the Beech St. Cottage was just what the doctor ordered! It was relaxing, exciting and inspiring, all rolled into one sweet week. The home is well appointed, comfortable and a lovely place to land after a day of taking in the sites and sounds of mid coast Maine. Truly, a wonderful place to stay in Rockland!
Wish I could give 3.5 stars. Lovely home in a lovely neighborhood. Close to everything in Rockland. Very easy to find and get in upon arrival. It's a very cute creaky older house with fun, eclectic decorations. A few things to note that's weren't a huge deal but wish we had known: kitchen is very small. Was difficult to make meals for all of us because there was just no counter space. Bring your own containers for any leftovers! Also, we didn't see on the listing that guests need to do their own laundry before they leave, though it was mentioned in paperwork that gets sent after you book. We left early in the morning so that was difficult but Debbie was reasonably accommodating, though I do wish we didn't need to worry about it at all! It made our departure a bit stressful. We did leave an item behind by mistake and Debbie was helpful in coordinating getting that back to us. We haven't heard about our deposit being returned. We expect to get it all back in full but if that doesn't happen I will certainly modify the review. Overall it met our needs and was a good price.
Beech Rock Cottage was everything we needed for our visit with family in Rockland. It was conveniently located, but in a quiet part of town. It was just minutes from the shops and grocery stores and Dorman's Ice Cream! The cottage was clean and comfortable for our family of five. The children loved the big back yard, and we appreciated the comforts the home had to offer. We especially appreciated the gas fireplace as the weather was quite chilly. The home was clean and stocked with all of the things we needed including cleaning supplies, paper goods, and linens. We were sad to leave at the end of our stay and would definitely stay there again.
We couldn’t wait to return to Maine for our winter getaway vacation, particularly to return to this quiet and charming cottage. Since we had decided to drive through the night from Pennsylvania with our pups, we were hopeful that early check-in was possible. The property owner was very kind to accommodate this request. Upon our arrival in Rockland, a heavy snowfall had begun and a substantial amount of snow had fallen within just a few hours. The driveway and porch areas were plowed and shoveled repeatedly during and after the storm.
Once again we found the property to be clean, tidy and stocked with everything we could have needed for our week long stay. The range and dishwasher appeared to have been recently replaced, as they were like new. The cozy fireplace couldn’t have been easier to operate and was perfect to warm up in front of after our sightseeing day trips. The weather was very cold during our stay, dropping into the minus temperatures a couple of times. The cast iron radiators kept us nice and toasty inside.
Our winter stay was just as enjoyable as our summer stay. We’re so happy to have found such a lovely little cottage in our favorite coastal town.
