|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
Enjoy breakfast on the large south facing terrace in the early morning sun before lounging beside the private pool while the children play with the toys provided.
The villa is favourably situated with several castles, prehistoric sites, museums and medieval towns such as Sarlat all within a few miles.
Summer in the Perigord can be hot, so have lunch or dinner in the shade and comfort of the covered north terrace, taking in the glorious view over countryside to the Bastide town of Domme 2 miles away. Domme is quite justifiably classified as “one of the most beautiful towns of France”. Later in the day, whilst preparing a tasty barbecue and listening to the sounds of cicadas and crickets, you can see the lights of the Citadel coming on one by one. Then as night falls you can admire the clear starry sky. Truly peaceful.
To help work up an appetite and appreciate Perigourdine cooking, take advantage of the onsite facilities and play some table tennis or boules. For the more energetic w
Gorgeous house in a lovely part of the Dordogne. Spent the week there recently with family and it worked really well. Highlights - were an excellently set up kitchen, quality of place and fittings, space/gardens around the property and of course the lovely view to Domme from in and out of the house. Suited young kids really well too. Again, can't really fault it in anyway and hope to return one day.
We were unlucky with the weather but thankfully there is plenty to do and see in the area even when it's raining. The villa was a great base with fantastic facilities and when the sun did shine it was lovely to sit out on the terrace overlooking Domme.
This is an outstanding property and a perfect location for exploring the Dordogne. The house has quality finishes and is very clean, comfortable and well laid out. The gardens are lovely and the pool overlooking Domme is amazing. It was the perfect backdrop to enjoy our stay. The owners are extremely helpful and went out of their way to provide us with medical contacts in case of emergency for our son with anaphylaxis to nuts and asthma (luckily he was perfectly fine). The house is conveniently located - close to main tourist sites and a quick and hassle free drive to grocery store and bakery for the morning croissants.
Staying in this beautiful house with our friends was the highlight of our 3 week trip to France. I will be back!
We stayed here with my 3 children aged 4,7 and 9 and we had a great stay.The house is lovely, well kept gardens, well appointed kitchen ( we were even able to bake cakes).The pool was great as well.Everything worked, was good quality and we could not have wished for a better stay.The view of Domme was delightful.JR, the owner was informative, quick to respond to questions and the booking process was easy.
My only complaint is that despite having sateliite TV, there were no english TV channels for children, so stock up on DVD's if you are travelling with young kids.
Overall a great family holiday and would return in a heartbeat.
This was a truly excellent holiday both due to the great house and the help offered by the oweners both before and during our stay. The house is decorated to an excellent standard and has everything that you need for either a get away with children or a relaxing adult holiday. The Location of the house make it very easy to explore the surrounding area with plenty of attractions a short drive away. We also enjoyed some excellent walks from the house to explore the local area as well.
An absolutely beautiful house in a beautiful region. Our contact with the owners was excellent, the house was - as in the pictures - gorgeous, beautiful view, beautiful heated swimming pool. We had a great time and if renting again in the Dordogne region would definitely come back to this house.
