Rancho Casitas rises 2300 feet above the desert floor and is 5 miles from Wickenburg,
Your casita will be located on 120 acres of unspoiled Sonoran desert. Views from this ridge will be of the Vulture Peak, the Bradshaw Mountains, incredible sunsets and the city lights of Wickenburg. Miles of pristine desert stretch out in front of you, as we are surrounded by State Land on three of our borders.
Rancho Casitas offers three rental plans. We want you to stay as long as you can - so if you want out of the winter weather and can stay 6 months - your stay here costs only $46/nite (!) for a one bedroom. If you want to see the desert from Tombstone to the Grand Canyon and have only a few months then for $60/nite, you can use Rancho Casitas as your 'base camp.' For those of you 'just passing thru' our nightly fee is $140/nite with a 3 night minimum.
Rancho Casitas is located north of Phoenix and at that elevation we enjoy cooler days and much cooler nights than Phoenix. You will wake to have coffee on your ‘sunrise porch’ under clear blue skies and you will end your days with cocktails on the 'western porch' and enjoy the sunset . You will enjoy the wonderful combination of the desert climate: warm sun filled days and cool peaceful nights. A place where out- door living is available and comfortable year round.
Wickenburg has become an exciting destination for those who search for the Western experience. The latest growing adventure is team roping that brings hundreds of ‘teams’ to our town from Sept thru May. Wickenburg has a unique brand of hospitality and several annual celebrations to attract the guest who is longing for the western adventure. All of our shops, galleries, and restaurants have their own personal perspecticve of the western lifestyle. Our Performing Arts Center offers venues from comedy to symphony. Our Desert Caballeros Western Museum houses world class western art and features "Cowgirl Up" a unique week of women in western art.
Inside your casita you will find a beehive fireplace, plush armchairs, love seats and western artwork. Make your drinks or dinner in a complete kitchen; pots and pans to wine glasses. Coffee makers, microwaves, present but most important of all a citrus juicer for the abundant fruit that graces the hill - lemons, tangelos, oranges and grapefruit. Tiled walk-in showers, Navajos on the floor, open beamed ceilings - put the 'Western' picture in your head and make it the reality of your 'home away from home'.
Stay for a month, or a week - but you have to stay for at least 3 days! (3-day minimum) You won't want to go home too soon - this is a dream of peace and quiet.
My husband and I stayed with Linda and Cathy in Feb 16....WONDERFUL spot! It's quiet, the bed was comfortable, and there are orange and lemon trees that were loaded for morning O.J., and lemonade for lunch....yum! Close enough to town to make a quick trip in, but very private on the 100 some acres.
Linda and Cathy are both great people. Very helpful and knowledgable about the area as well as Arizona in general. We had most of our contact with Linda, and left feeling like we'd made a new friend....she's awesome!
We will definetly be back...next time for much longer!
We stayed five months at Ranch Casitas and found it to be very welcoming for us and our horses. We enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets and the wildlife from our patios. The owners were very hospitable and helpful on knowing the towns current events.
I was looking to stay where time slowed down and I could enjoy the days of my vacation at my own pace. Boy did I find it "on the hill"! The Ranch staff was always helpful and allowed me to feel safe in this amazing desert environment. Comfortable with an "at home feeling". Plan on coming back!
As a widow I was looking for a safe and secure place to spend my Winter months in Wickenburg and I found it at Rancho Casitas! I have enjoyed the last 8 years here and plan on returning next year! My casitas faces East and back patio faces West which enables me to enjoy glorious Sunrises and spectacular Sunsets. Since I feed the wildlife in my front yard I have a variety of birds, roadrunners, rabbits, etc., and occasionally deers will find their way to the top of our hill. It is lovely to have a wood burning fire and lookout the window and view the wildlife. The flora is just as spectacular as the fauna! The Owners have made my stays very enjoyable and that is one of the main reasons I return each year!
Vintage two room apartment located up on a hill with a great view. Being alone, always felt safe being there by myself in a new place. Has a Private patio just outside the door and a great pool to swim or exercise in. The owners were very helpful informing me about the town of Wickenburg. It is a very welcoming and friendly place to stay. Downtown is just 5 miles away. I stayed here for 7 months and was very happy here.
I stayed in a "casita" for four months. Everything in it was circa 1960. I was charged for utilities every month but was never given any type of supporting utility bill. After I left, they shortchanged me on the refund. Then the additional check was lost in the mail. I had to threaten legal action to get the replacement check even though I told them to stop payment on the check. They said they'd made a "mistake" and then charged me an outrageous amount for a coarse cotton sheet that they used to cover the top sheet. I would never go back and would not recommend this property. I have stayed at many VRBO properties and never experienced anything like this.
Rancho Casitas if 5 easy miles to town, and 3 miles to several l treatment centers. We welcome all family members at a small discount. We are now in the 'off' season and have frequent availability thru the summer. Peace and quiet and a sparkling pool on 120 acres assist in all recuperation necessary.
Since this is a very seasonal area we only take long term eservations during the 'season' of Jan thru March. Thanks and don't hesitate to call for opportunities.
