This 2 bedroom, 1 bath 3rd floor unit has just been renovated--walls painted, floors refinished. Clean. Sunny and bright. Everything is new. Open living room, dining room, and Ikea kitchen. Wood floors throughout (tile in bathroom). 2 bedrooms each with Queen beds. In-unit washer/dryer. Deck. Local artists' work complete this unit. This unit is steps from the Eastern Promenade and Casco Bay, restaurants, tennis courts, and great trails. This is a quiet street and house.

About Colleen Bedard

I am a New Englander and have lived in the Portland area off and on for 25 years. I am now settled here and wouldn't live anywhere else but Munjoy Hill. It is truly special to hear fog horns, the train, and the tug boats hard at work in the harbor. The sounds and the smells leave a lastly impression. In addition to being a Realtor, I am also an artist and founded the Society for East End Arts with a few fellow-artists almost 10 years ago. I love walking on the Eastern Promenade with my dog, Coali, where there is an off-leash area for her to run and socialize with the other Hill dogs.

Why Colleen Bedard chose East End

Downeast Magazine recently called this the hippest area of Portland for good reason. The neighborhood is friendly and Casco Bay--just 2 blocks away--is an every changing beauty. This is a quiet street yet you are close to restaurants, Rosemont Market, and Hilltop Coffee Shop. Downtown Portland is an easy walk from here.

What makes this apartment unique

I love 3rd floor units, and this one is no exception. The air and light is wonderful. The space is very comfortable.--You have everything you need here. The back deck is great for relaxing with a cool drink!

Clean, bright and airy

The apartment is well furnished and very cheery. While we knew it was on the 3rd floor, we probably wouldn't do it again. It was a bit of a hike for us and our dog. Would definitely recommend it for someone who doesn't mind the 3rd floor.

The location on the East End near the Promenade is excellent. Also, we were grateful for the off-street parking space.

Clean and Quiet

The apartment is in a nice residential neighborhood with a few great restaurants nearby. The beds were very comfortable. The apartment is light and bright and clean. The bathroom was good size, with lots of hot water and good pressure. We walked everywhere day and night. The cable and WiFi were excellent additions, and having a washer and dryer during travel is a luxury. The kitchen is basically equipped for simple meals, we only ate breakfast there. It is a third floor walk up, but that was not a problem for us. We enjoyed the place, and Portland was a great stop for our 3 nights.

Comfortable, Complete and Steps to Restaurants and the Casco waterfront

My spouse and I enjoyed a morning walk to the promenade, short drives to areas of interest and a nice dinner at the Front Room restaurant, which is just steps away. We were able to spread out in this spacious apartment. It's a friendly neighborhood with coffee shops, a book store and multiple places to eat.

Amazing apartment in a great neighbourhood

Colleen was the perfect host. The apartment was great. Everything we needed was there and everything worked perfectly throughout our stay. Any question got answered instantly by Colleen and she did the utmost to make our stay perfect.

The apartment is located in a great neighbourhood and close to the park and the water. Perfect for travelling as a couple and with kids. Highly recommended.

Comfortable home base

The apartment is lovely, nicely decorated, very clean and well maintained. We only cooked breakfasts during our stay, but the kitchen seemed to be well stocked with equipment. There is a Whole Foods that is a 5 minute drive away, and we were able to stock up on drinks, snacks, fruit and other items during our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the overall space very spacious and warm. There is street parking, but we typically did not find it right in front of the property, and usually had to park a block or two away. This wasn't a big deal, just slightly inconvenient the day we arrived when we had the most to unload. The neighborhood is very quiet and on the older side. We didn't see anyone walking around the neighborhood, so difficult to tell what the community is like. The promenade area is super close, with a sweeping view of Casco Bay, a park and a walking/running path. There were a lot of people out and about, and my husband was able to go jogging one morning. Colleen was easily accessible and responded quickly. It was a great home base for our stay in Portland.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review, and you make a good point about unloading. My suggestion to future guests is to double park in front of the unit to unload and then move to a parking space. It's not a busy street, and double parking for a short time will make this easier for you on arrival and departure.
