As a naval officer, I've traveled the world. Coming back to the Jersey shore reminds me of my childhood and the carefree feeling of playing outside all day and relaxing as the sun sets.
Stephanie Homick purchased this cottage in 2014
When I saw the proximity to the beach and the sunsets from the deck, I absolutely fell in love with this home. I grew up spending summers down the Jersey shore and am delighted to have found this little slice of heaven to call my own. I hope to share the peace and serenity I enjoy when I'm vacationing at the home with my renters. Feel the stress melt away. I hope you feel as relaxed as much as I do when spending time .
I vacationed at this home with 6 other friends. This home has 4 spacious bedrooms and 2 full baths. Excellent for a larger group. The living area is large and had plenty of room for us all to move around. Kitchen was great. It had plenty of dishes, utensils, pots, and pans for us to make group dinner and lunch.
We came to celebrate the New Year. Stephanie was very helpful and responded to our questions extremely fast. Overall, we were very pleased with this home. It has everything we needed. Great property!
Property's location is awesome, the property itself was cozy, and everyone loved their time there. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit the area.
House was lovely, just as advertised and more than enough room for two of us and a small dog. Stephanie was very responsive and could not have been more helpful. It was our first visit to the area and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Weather was terrific, sunsets were AMAZING and the beach by the house was great for walks. Go to the beautiful beach by the lighthouse in Cape May if you want to go swimming, there are chairs and and an umbrella at the house. We did not want to be around crowds and noise so Villas was just right, slightly funky but very quiet and peaceful and everyone we encountered was very friendly, even at the Wawa and CVS! Would highly recommend the Island Grill in Cape May for Dinner and a little store called Maker's Making for gifts and what not. Also had a great time at the Historic Cold Spring Village and the Alpaca Farm, both just a short drive away. Looking forward to return trip next year.
We loved this property ! The views were amazing and the house was clean and decorated to perfection! Every square inch of the house was designed for relaxation and comfort! The house seems small, but there is so much room for entertaining. There was 6 of us during our stay and we never felt like we didn't have enough space. There was even an extra bedroom we didn't even use!! The owner Stephanie responded very promptly and answered any and all questions we had! No complaints at all ! We will for sure be renting this property again !
We had a great week staying at Stephanie's cottage. We had 6 people staying - 2 adults, 2 kids (11 and 7), and grandparents. We really liked that there was a full bath and single bedroom on the main floor for the kids' grandmother. Upstairs there were 3 bedrooms and a full bath. The stairs were a bit narrow but expected since it is an holder house. Water pressure in the bathrooms was excellent. The one downside that we found was that the two full/queen size beds were very low to the ground -- very low. It proved not to be too much of a problem for us since grandpa stayed in one of the rooms with the two single beds that sat higher but the other beds could prove to be a challenge for anyone that has issues getting up from a low spot. One block from the beach with a very quiet street in front of you. It is best to enjoy the view and the sunsets, not really to swim. To swim, would go down the road a bit or do the 10-15 minute ride to Cape May or the Wildwoods. We had lots of things to do with day trips to Atlantic City and visits to Cape May, the lighthouse, the various beaches, Wildwood boardwalk and water parks. Lots to do and see -- or a nice place to just sit back and relax. We used Trip Advisor to find little restaurants in the Villas neighborhood and surrounding environments. Worked really well. We found a grocery store about 10 mins away and Stephanie's kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and cook our meals. The neighborhood is very quiet and perfect for families and she has done a wonderful job at decorating the cottage. The front porch was used a lot for game nights. We enjoyed the wifi and the dvd player. The TV only had basic stations so use your wifi devices or bring dvds. We highly recommend Stephanie and her cottage - she quickly and patiently answered all of our questions. We are looking forward to another visit!
Villas is a quiet retreat just north of Cape May. Escape the crowds and enjoy the Villas - home of the best sunsets. Cape May is less than a 20 minute drive away with lots of history, culture, restaurants, shops and a beach with a promenade. Cape May County Airport is home to an aviation museum filled with historic aircraft. For the nature-lovers, stroll along the beach in front of the house searching for crabs and red knot birds or visit the Higbee Beach Wildlife Management Area or visit the Audubon Society. Looking for the boardwalk and rides? Head over to Wildwood to ride the ferris wheel. Don't forget to visit the local wineries and Cape May Brewing Company! There's something for everyone!
