Great cottage, great location

  • 5 of 5

Such a serene location to then also be right in downtown. For the first time we also did the walking trails in Comeau Park. Cottage was in perfect condition. Just a heads up if you are staying the summer the a/c in the living room is great but bedrooms still get warm with only fans. So may want to bring an extra fan with you or sleep on the pull out sofa in the living room!

We love all Woodstock Way homes!

  • 5 of 5

We visit Woodstock every year to kick off our summer. We have stayed at the Woodstock Way studios and this year, with our newborn son, we opted for their larger cabin option to accommodate the baby and my mother. It was just perfect for what we wanted. The cabin is clean and really has everything you need.

We weren't able to use the outdoor space because both areas (there's an outdoor seating off the living room and kitchen) were dirty. It was typical outdoor dirt from trees overhead and such but it was clear that the furniture was not washed down and the decks hadn't been attended to. If you plan on staying here, I'd recommend you make sure to request that so you can use the entire space.

Overall the stay was great and we will absolutely return!

Magical Hidden Spot only Steps from Town!

  • 4 of 5

I stumbled upon this property on Instagram and fell in love with it from the pictures. The photos didn't reflect how 'rustic' this cabin is. It's been difficult to get a reservation in the peak months, so I booked it for a weekend getaway with my mom and sister, to celebrate our Mother's upcoming 70th birthday.Overall we had a wonderful time and I would recommend this spot to anyone looking to experience Woodstock in the easiest and most chill way possible.

PROS: AMAZING LOCATION; you can literally see the street from the comfort of the cabin, but you are not in the hustle bustle of it. Because of the sounds of waterfall, you can't hear anything other than birds and the water, which was truly transformative. Because of it's proximity to EVERYTHING, you don't need to drive anywhere if you don't want to. The views of the woods and waterfall from the deck and the living room made it hard to leave to go anywhere else. The kitchen was well equipped, with the exception of not having any dish towels or placemats, which are easy to bring if want them. The beds were both comfortable beds with soft, clean sheets, and the Master Bedroom is beautiful and gets nice light. Prior to arriving, we received a detailed list of things to do in the area from Sara, which I regrettably forgot to print out. A printed out copy of this list in the cabin would have made it easier.

A few CONS, that can be easily addressed: The biggest issue we had was that the cabin was pretty dirty when we arrived. My mom spent her first hour there cleaning as best she could (which was not how I wanted her to start her birthday weekend). I expect it because the peak season hadn't really started yet, but IMO, given we paid a cleaning fee, it should have been more thoroughly cleaned for us.There were dead bugs and cobwebs everywhere, and the outside table + furniture were so sticky and dirty, we had to clean everything before we could enjoy that space. The loft bed, which is very comfortable & cozy, once you get up to it, has a very shaky ladder to access it, which is not safe for young kids or older people. It was also really dusty & dirty up there with a stained carpet. The tiny and old bathroom would have been fine but there was no bathmat in the shower which was extremely slippery. Lastly, since there were no instructions on how to leave the cabin upon checkout, I needed to contact Sara, who was pretty responsive with answers. Welcome/Checkout instructions would have been easier.

Loved my stay in the Waterfall Cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was located right next to a stream and a waterfall. Two outdoor deck w/bbq to enjoy the view. Slept like a queen in the king size bed. My sons slept well in the loft. Comfortable living room w/fireplace. DVDs, games, books & WiFi for your entertainment. Full functioning kitchen w/dining area. Located a block off of Tinker St. Great vibe in town, kid friendly & safe. Cool flea market. Ate at Shindig twice, had the best bacon. Dessert was awesome. Great waitress from Long Island. Even met the chef. Can't wait to go back in the spring.

Quaint Cottage in the Heart of Woodstock

  • 5 of 5

This was our first (and definitely not last) visit to the Waterfall Cottage. We absolutely loved it - it's so close to the shops and restaurants of Tinker Street but private and so peaceful and quiet with a waterfall view from the living room and a stream running beside it. The cabin is a quick walk or short drive to everything Woodstock has to offer. The cabin itself is so relaxing and cozy. We will be back!
