This newly renovated manufactured home sits on six acres of shade trees and landscaped gardens between Tallahassee and Monticello. You can enjoy your morning coffee (that's on me!) under the covered patio at the goldfish pond.
The kitchen has everything you need to cook and entertain--full sized stove and refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, George Foreman grill, blender, mixer, cookware and baking pans. And Publix is only ten minutes away. Or skip the cooking and enjoy our fine restaurants.
Special features include wheel chair accessibility, wireless Internet, t.v., VCR/DVD player, and a mini pool table. For the kiddies, there's a toy closet inside and a swing garden outside. Lots of board games are in the entertainment center.
The three bedrooms include one queen bed and two doubles and comfortably sleeps six. The living room is large enough to accommodate air mattresses if guests wish to bring their own.
The master bath has double sinks, a bath tub and shower stall. The second bath has combination bath/shower. The third is a powder room with sink and toilet only.
You can travel light because I furnish hair dryer, ironing board, iron and even freshly laundered robes.
The MusiCasa is 30 minutes from Doak Campbell Stadium to the west, and Thomasville, GA, the city of roses, to the north, 15 minutes from historic Monticello (Watermelon Capitol) to the east. Go an hour's drive south and you're at Florida's beautiful beaches and famed seafood restaurants.
But most folks just step outside where you are surrounded by flowers, birds, butterflies, squirrels and frequent sightings of other north Florida wildlife in this quiet and serene little slice of heaven.
The owner lives on the other side of the pond should you need anything during your stay.
I grew up in Tallahassee and attended FSU first for a degree in English Education then for Music Education with a principal in guitar. I taught in two of the local high schools before retiring in 2006. Now I spend my time helping with church work, helping my sons with grandchildren, gardening, making music with my friends, and reading all those books I never had time for.
I have lived on this property for 40 years. My parents moved this mobile home here when they retired and after they passed, I taught guitar lessons there and used it for visiting family and friends. Hence, MusiCasa! After my husband died in 2013, I renovated it to use as a vacation rental. I've always loved 'getting ready for company' and gardening and now I do both all the time. It's been a wonderful therapy for grief and I've loved meeting all the people who come to stay with me.
This property is sandwiched between a plantation and the rolling pastures of a horse farm. I keep part of my six acres wild and consequently am allowed to observe deer, turkeys, foxes, racoons and all the wonderful critters that inhabit North Florida. Of course the squirrels, birds and butterflies are everywhere. That is why I have paths and sitting areas in many parts of the property so nature lovers can meditate with God's creatures.
Our stay was a long term stay while our home was being renovated. Fully stocked kitchen for meals. We enjoyed the wildlife, and gardens getting away from the city. Julia is a great host.
The property is beautiful! The patio is roomy and comfortable in the heat of the day. House is spacious and comfortable but, slightly dated. I highly recommend this location!!! It is conveniently located to Tallahassee without being in town.
We had a wonderful time at Musicasa. The outdoor area was perfect for our pre and post graduation gatherings. We hung graduation banners easily - just tied them to existing hooks that Julia has lights and wind chimes hanging from, which made it all the more festive. The grounds are beautiful and the fish pond delightful!
Our stay was very comfortable. We were six adults and a baby. There was plenty of room for everyone - and what a luxury to have two and a half baths! Warm and friendly, Julia surely is the hostess with the most-est! Every time I looked for something, sure enough there was one or more available! It sure was nice to have everything we could ever hope for right at hand.
I sure wish I knew about the lovely Musicasa before graduation. It is the perfect place to stay when visiting your student and/or moving them in/out of the dorm or an apartment. We will always check with Julia first whenever we visit Tallahassee in the future.
Although it was a rainy weekend, we had a great time staying at the MusiCasa! The house has everything that is needed to make a stay more than comfortable. We did not think of anything that we did not have - which is unusual. The grounds are beautiful and Julia is such a great hostess - that made our experience "Price"less!
Majestic oak trees, flowering plants, birdsong - and all of that at a very reasonable rental fee. The house was immaculate, comfortably furnished and larger than we expected. Our hostess couldn't have been more charming. It's a 20 minute drive into Tallahassee. Hence, the 4 stars. But it's worth it for the lovely natural, old Florida setting.
We rented this place for my son's graduation at FSU. There were six adults and we had plenty of room. Everything was clean and the property is beautiful! You feel like your far out but it really isn't that far. Very nice. Would definitely stay again.
