My husband and I have lived in the neighborhood for almost 20 years and just love this spot. We bought the property adjacent to us and have renovated it to provide a great get away for couples or family and friends for one night or several weeks. You'll find we love the area and have tried very hard to create a home to get away to that enables you to relax and enjoy yourselves.
Chantal Lawrence purchased this house in 2013
This property is quiet, remote, yet close to most anything you're looking to see or do. Its clean, fresh and comfortable.
The Patchogue River is stimulating spot for fishing, boating, birding and just relaxing. The views are ever changing and beautiful in all seasons. Don't just think of this area as a place for the Summer, we love it here in the fall and the winter.
This is an adorable and spotlessly clean cottage in a relaxing setting. The decor was homey but not over done. Chantal was very accommodating and communicative. We sincerely enjoyed our stay and it was perfect for our girls weekend in Westbrook. The location was perfect as well. Close to Water's Edge resort where we had brunch and Clinton where we shopped at the outlets.
I can't say enough about this property and its host. Chantal was a great host and helpful in handling all the logistics of booking the trip. The home is surprisingly spacious and bright. YOu don't need to take anything else but your clothes and some bug spray. Before our trip I asked if she had any kitchen tools and she said the kitchen was fully stocked. She was not kidding. You don't need to bring anything. The home has everything that you'll. The grounds are beautiful and spacious. Enough room for kids to run around and explore. Can't say enough. We were lucky to find this place just 2 weeks before Labor Day weekend. If you decide to go, must try Bill's Seafood and Lobster Landing in Clinton.
Mrs. Lawrence was wonderful and the house is just beautiful! The location is perfect and so very peaceful!! Great place for a relaxing late week of August before the start of school.
Had such a fun, relaxing weekend at Marsh Landing. The cottage is clean, airy and adorable. Very centrally located - walking distance to the beach and close to seafood shacks, a vineyard, a waterfall and hiking trails. We took a fun day trip to Mystic and enjoyed our nights sipping wine on the deck and BBQing. Highly recommended for a memorable weekend with family.
Very hot while there (3 days for a last minute get away.) , wished we had more time to sample lovely beaches. Near a number of attractions, boat trip, castle! Plenty of eateries. Food not great but OK for our purposes, to please the 12 year old! Great walks, hikes, nearby.
Well laid out, good space for 3 generations (3 adults plus 12 year old.) Modern kitchen.
Fully equipped, Needed some repair to louvered windows on porch . Nice view. Would like to return when cooler and not so buggy.
Owner very helpful, wished we had met. Air conditioner did the job for unseasonably hot weather, but wished it was not so loud.
Very pleased over all.
Worst problem was clunky web site. Exasperating!
My family and I (we have a 15 month old daughter) stayed here for a few days last week. It's a great little cottage nestled at the end of a road with river access in the backyard. It was a 10 minute walk to the beach and the cottage was very clean and modern. The cottage was pleasant to sleep in at night with just the windows open. It was a very relaxing stay. We hope to get back there again in the future.
