We have lived on the island for 30 years and we started renting our own home many years ago when we traveled. Then our neighbors asked us to handle rentals for them also -- and now we offer vacation rentals in a variety of price ranges and locations on the island...from dramatic beachfront homes to cozy interior homes with lots of privacy. Our vacation rental homes are painstakingly cared for...we want you to feel like you are vacationing in a friend's home rather than a sterile "rental unit". So relax, kick off your flip flops, dig your toes in the sand and enjoy the island lifestyle!
This home was exactly as it appears in the pictures. It is beautiful, clean, modern and so private. Very short walk to the boat docks, and a little longer, but beautiful walk to the beach. The house was equipped with everything we needed, plus some. In addition to everything they list that is included, you will find many grocery staples in the house for you use, spices, condiments, dish soap, baggies, foil, laundry detergent. It was amazing, and very convenient since there are no stores and you have to bring everything with you.
Th island is fantastic...tropical, quiet, clean, friendly, uncrowded beaches. We caught great fish off of the boat docks every evening. I'm sure this island isn't for everyone though. There are no restaurants, stores, cars, roads, etc. It is a bit of a challenge to get here with all of your things, but well worth it. You probably won't make many trips to the mainland for stores or restaurants as the water taxi across to the island is expensive and only ran till 4:00 p.m. at the time we were there. You have to plan well and be okay with cooking all of your own meals every day.
The rental agents, Laurie and Buddy, were very helpful. I would highly recommend Seagrape Escape if you are looking for a beautiful home on Little Gasparilla Island.
This home was amazing! Very clean and spacious. It had tons of stuff to do on the 1 rainy day we were trapped inside! We had a group of 6 (2 kids age 5 and 2) and this house was perfect. So close to the dock and just a simple 2 min walk to the beach! The locals were very nice and showed us the "local library" and how to spot shark teeth while looking for shells. I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely want to stay here again!!!!
Instant relaxation from the moment we arrived at Seagrape Escape. Accomodation was everything we'd hoped for, well appointed, clean, and freshly decorated. We enjoyed early morning walks on the beach with a swim before breakfast in the warm turquoise sea. The beach is a shell hunters paradise and is also pet friendly. We will definitely return!
This was our second time in the past two years at Seagrape Escape. While not directly on the beach, it is a 3 minute walk down a sandy path to an amazing and uncrowded beach. The home is relatively new, very well appointed and maintained. The marina/water taxi arrangements are straightforward and while being only 10 minutes from the mainland, it seemed like we were on a secluded island in the Carribean.
Looking forward to our visit next year.
Our family had a great time at Seagrape Escape! The beaches were a quick walk from the house and we were amazed at how few people were there. It felt like we had it to ourselves a lot. And those that we did see we're all very nice. We saw sea turtle trails in the mornings and enjoyed searching through the shells.
We took the kayaks out a few days as well. Our two girls both tried kayaking and loved it! We tried fishing off the dock and saw a dolphin and manatee while we were out there. It was perfect. Just remember to bring drinking water with you. We forgot but luckily someone before us had left some so we were ok.
The house was as nice as it looks in the pictures! We enjoyed hanging out on the deck and playing the board games at the house.
Thanks so much!!!
This house was perfect for our family Spring Break Trip. The house is great for families with small kids, as there is a lot to do in the house and on the island. We were there with three adults and two toddlers and had plenty of room to explore and enjoy. It was great to have such a well stocked kitchen with great cookware and also a well stocked spice cabinet for making food. The bedrooms were large and comfortable and the outdoor entertaining space on the deck is a great place to eat meals and play games.
