Discover Eagle's Branch River House, the perfect secluded riverfront perch to enjoy the sights and beauty of Lancaster farm country. Our three bedroom, two bath spacious home is ideally suited for a relaxing getaway with family or friends. It has a 'cabin' feel with modern amenities and is beautifully furnished. Three levels with master bedroom suite with its own private wraparound deck, modern kitchen, expansive rec room with river views, and multi-tier decks overlooking the river and surrounding Amish farms.
On a quiet gravel lane, you won't find a better place to unwind in the heart of Amish country! The Conestoga River is a designated water trail and popular for canoeing, kayaking, fishing and wildlife viewing. Our home provides convenient river access on a beautiful stretch of the Conestoga between the historic Bushong Mill and the famous Pinetown and Hunsecker's Mill Covered Bridges.
Most guests enjoy relaxing to the sound of the river rapids, but amenities include large-screen TVs, Wi-Fi and a Weber grill. Quiet and peaceful yet a quick 10 minutes to downtown Lancaster, farmers markets and all the sights and activities.
Also a short drive to many other attractions including Hersheypark, Dutch Wonderland, the historic Fulton Theatre, American Music Theatre, Sight & Sound, Cherry Crest Adventure Farm, Longwood Gardens, Strasburg Rail Road, historic Ephrata Cloister, Susquehanna River and much more.
For families: we have a crib in the den, extra pack-n-play, infant bath, high chair and stroller available for guest use. Older kids (and adults) will love the foosball table and large screen TVs in the rec room!
Take advantage of our one-of-a-kind setting: we have two bikes for guests to explore Lancaster's winding farm roads and rolling hills, a private rustic trail through the woods along the river to one of Lancaster County's famous covered bridges, or you can walk from the house across the Amish farm path to see cows and horses. Evenings are great for enjoying complimentary s'mores or relaxing in the hammock by our riverside fire pit.
Have kayaks or canoes to bring along? There's a wonderful 90-minute paddle route that leaves from the house, passing two covered bridges, an eagle's nest and beautiful farms and homes. We're happy to arrange transport from the take-out point at a local park with our boat trailer. More adventurous voyagers can paddle 30 miles to the Susquehanna River!
This partner has demonstrated and is committed to fast response times, the best rates, and a great guest experience.
My husband is from the area and we were looking for a weekend getaway spot to unwind and recharge. We've found the perfect place!
Emily Feenstra purchased this house in 2013
There aren't many homes on the river and you can feel yourself relax as soon as you turn onto the gravel lane. The deck overlooking the rapids is our favorite place to spend a lazy morning. We love being in the heart of Lancaster County and surrounded by Amish farms.
From walking in the door to walking out the door - the whole experience was phenomenal. We were welcomed warmly and had all of the comforts visitors could want. Thank you very much! I will be recommending this spot to friends.
Great home right on the river. Very clean, everything you need is provided. Fantastic view of the river from the main level, downstairs, and the various levels of decks. Flat screen TVs on every floor with excellent satellite reception. The property managers who live next store were very welcoming. They left cinnamon buns for us as well as s'more fixings and a duraflame log for a fire. While relaxing my family was looking out the picture window and saw an eagle fly up the river then in a few minutes he flew back down the river. The only negative for some might be the amount of steps. There are steps from the parking area and then from the main level there are steps up to the master bedroom and down to the basement recreation area. This is a great place in a relaxing setting. My family will definitely be back.
The pictures don't do this lovely home justice. We were simply amazed when we walked in. We instantly felt comfortable and relaxed. The home was clean and fresh smelling. The kitchen was well stocked with food staples, cookware and dishes. The beds were quite comfy. Our group was able to enjoy each others company yet find privacy. I would absolutely rent this home again.
The home was beautiful, as was the riverside location. The house is well equipped and the host clearly put a great deal of effort into making it welcoming, including lovely Christmas decorations, a binder with lots of local info, and baked goods there upon our arrival. The home is on the outskirts, and at first we thought this would be an issue, but the warm home and beautiful scenery made the extra driving well worth it. We plan on going back again in warmer weather so we can enjoy the decks and fire pit.
House and setting were incredible. Winter wonderland!
Myself and two friends stayed at Eagles branch home for a weekend getaway. The house was beautiful, large and clean with an awesome view! Homemade sticky buns waiting for us. House had everything needed. Not only did we enjoy the shopping and markets and surrounding stores we very much enjoyed relaxing watching TV and doing nothing in this lovely home. We will be back again.
Come discover Pennsylvania Dutch Country and historic downtown Lancaster. It's a charming walkable town and yet you are in farmland within minutes. Our favorite places to visit include the Lancaster Central Market, the towns of Lititz and Strasburg, and all of the covered bridges near our home!

We hope you'll choose Eagles Branch River House as the base for your Lancaster County getaway. Please note that this home is rural and woodsy. If the occasional bug, farm smell or getting stuck behind an Amish buggy will bother you, this might not be your dream vacation! :) We ask that you also respect our Amish neighbors and do not take their photographs or enter their property.
