Overview

About the property

Newly Renovated, Cottage Feel With Modern Amenities.

Newly renovated, cottage feel with modern amenities. Perfect for a couple or small family. Pet friendly. One bedroom (additional EZ bed available), full bath, kitchen and dining area, living room, wood stove, patio, 10x12 deck, fire pit. WIFI, Dish, air, reverse osmosis tap water. 650 square feet. Lake access 3/10 of a mile, joint access with boat mooring available. Due to swimmers itch swimming is safe waste deep but lengthy wading in the shallow is risky. I have been swimming in Duck Lake for 11 years and have never had swimmers itch, as long as you are careful and towel off the risk is very low. There are areas of the lake where you can wade and play fizbee, etc without concern but you need to boat there, thus a boat or kayak is a great way to enjoy this lake. Interlochen State park and Interlochen Arts Academy 1.5 miles north. State park has a nice beach area and the Arts Academy houses many prominent concerts and performances in multiple art forms. Just a short distance away from Traverse City, MI, host of the National Cherry Festival, Traverse City Film Festival. Leelanau and Old Mission Peninsula's with over 20 vineyards. Many lakes, rivers and beaches within 20 minute radius. Lake Michigan and Sleeping Bear Dunes 30 minutes. Many golf resort opportunities: Grand Traverse Resort, Arcadia Bluffs, Crystal Mountain and many other smaller courses.

Quaint, Quiet Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Nancy was a great hostess and the cottage had everything you would need. We spent afternoons lounging on the deck after a busy morning in Traverse City. The dogs loved walking the trails and we saw deer and turkey. Close to Interlocken restaurants and several grocery stores near.

Very charming and quiet. We thought it would closer to the lake but it was not a problem.

This was perfect for what we were looking for. Very convenient to Interlochen Arts Academy. I took a class at the Academy and we enjoyed concerts as well. The accommodations were very clean and the property was well taken care of. Close enough to Travers City to enjoy all there is to do there but far enough away to avoid the traffic and noise. I would definitely go back and have already suggested this spot to friends and family.

Cozy and quiet cottage in the woods

  • 5 of 5

Property was cozy and quiet! The owner was very hospitable and friendly! Great place to vacation with family and plenty to do in the area. The lake access was beautiful and a short distance from the cottage! We would definitely consider staying there again!

Great spot, 30 mins from Lake Michigan. Photos dont do it justice, cabin is actually larger than you would think.

Better than advertised

  • 5 of 5

My wife, son and I had a great weekend at this cabin. Cabin was clean and easy to find. There are too many wonderful little touches to this place to mention, but everything we needed and so much more was available for our use. We will definitely look to rent this place again

Awesome sauce!

  • 5 of 5

Had a great stay. Nancy was super helpful. Loved everything about the location. Short walk to the lake. There are 4 kayaks which was perfect because there was 4 of us. Highly recommend kayaking if you stay here. I don't think you'll find a better place for the price.
