Newly renovated, cottage feel with modern amenities. Perfect for a couple or small family. Pet friendly. One bedroom (additional EZ bed available), full bath, kitchen and dining area, living room, wood stove, patio, 10x12 deck, fire pit. WIFI, Dish, air, reverse osmosis tap water. 650 square feet. Lake access 3/10 of a mile, joint access with boat mooring available. Due to swimmers itch swimming is safe waste deep but lengthy wading in the shallow is risky. I have been swimming in Duck Lake for 11 years and have never had swimmers itch, as long as you are careful and towel off the risk is very low. There are areas of the lake where you can wade and play fizbee, etc without concern but you need to boat there, thus a boat or kayak is a great way to enjoy this lake. Interlochen State park and Interlochen Arts Academy 1.5 miles north. State park has a nice beach area and the Arts Academy houses many prominent concerts and performances in multiple art forms. Just a short distance away from Traverse City, MI, host of the National Cherry Festival, Traverse City Film Festival. Leelanau and Old Mission Peninsula's with over 20 vineyards. Many lakes, rivers and beaches within 20 minute radius. Lake Michigan and Sleeping Bear Dunes 30 minutes. Many golf resort opportunities: Grand Traverse Resort, Arcadia Bluffs, Crystal Mountain and many other smaller courses.

What a great little cottage.
My wife and I visited in early January. It was cozy, clean and had all the amenities that we needed. The wood burning stove kept us warm all day and night. The furnace works great too... It was close to town and 20 minutes away from Traverse City. We will be back for sure.
Cozy cabin in a beautiful location
We rented this place for our 16th anniversary and it did not disappoint. Every aspect of this cabin met our expectations as per previous reviews. The wood stove was cozy and getting to snuggle on the couch and watch tv was very relaxing. Every day we would go for a nature drive or visit Traverse City and watch a movie, go out for dinner and do a little shopping. Interlochen is only 2 miles away with grocery stores so really all you’d need is within a 5 minute drive. We loved it and will be back again for sure.
This is a very pleasant and cozy cottage. Well maintained and with plenty of amenities and Nancy is a great host. Very enjoyable.
Great for a long Autumn weekend
The cabin was pleasant, clean, and quiet. We enjoyed using the wood stove. The decor and furniture made for a very cozy, quaint getaway. It’s a quick drive to restaurants and shops. Nancy was very helpful and accommodating. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Absolutely incredible stay! Couldn’t have imagined a more relaxing time up north! Thank you so much!
We had an absolutely amazing time! It was just the get away that we were looking for. We wanted a relaxing weekend away from south east Michigan city life and have a “cabin in the woods” vacation. This property met it and even exceeded our expectations. We loved the fire place in the living room and the large windows to see the snow and leaves outside. We brought our young golden retriever and had such fun going for walks. The property had canoes (although it was too cold to use them) and the owner was very accommodating! Overall, just a fantastic time! And there is a nice local food market called Tom’s that is right down the road, and you can cook up all sorts in the property.
The cottage was perfect for our weekend getaway!Great location, so cozy and comfortable.
The cottage was a perfect location, close to Traverse City and great shops and restaurants. The inside was cozy and inviting and the wood burning stove was perfect. Loved that it was dog friendly. Very clean and had everything we needed. Working with Nancy was great, so timely and friendly and accommodating. We are definitely going to be staying here again!
