About Janice regnier
Current Southwest Airlines Flight Attendant. I love to travel and I found a place that stole my heart, Waikoloa Village, on the Big Island. Locals are warm and friendly and there is so much to do on the island. Every year I wanted to return to the Island, so last year I purchased a Condo in Fairway Terrace Complex. Which is in the heart of Waikoloa Village. I hope you enjoy my home and the island has much as I do. Mahalo

Why Janice regnier chose Waikoloa Village
Waikoloa is a quiet, cozy Village. No rat race here. Lots to do if you want to, or just enjoy laying at the pool. The Gate Card gets you into Pool and workout area. The pool is beautiful.
What makes this Condo unique
The Condo has a home away from home atmosphere. The master bedroom has a king size bed with both tub and shower, the guest bedroom has 2 twin beds, second bath also has a tub and shower. The Condo sleeps 4 very comfortably. The condo has a pots and pans in the kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. The complex is walking distance to the golf course club house, Banjy’s restaurant, pool and tennis courts. The recreation area features a large pool, spa, BBQ area, and well equipped workout room; the only complex in Waikoloa that has a gym on site. Everything you need is right there and it's just a short stroll to the shops. A very good grocery store is a short distance away, along with banking, medical, post office, etc.. The Resorts and world class beaches are just 5 - 10 minutes away by car. Waikoloa Village is a planned community with underground electric, world class golf course and amenities conveniently located between Waimea, Kona and Hilo, just minutes from the best beaches. The condo complex is gated and wrapped on three sides by the golf course. Enjoy!

Not what I expected at all.
Pros: Fairly priced condo. Newer tile floors, clean, laundry appliances indoors, cable, internet and updated kids room mattresses. Would have given 4 stars but...
Cons: Bad odor as you enter the master bedroom, (turns out the master matress is horribly stained!) Fabreezed the entire mattress and had to wash top pad and linen before sleeping on it but odor remains. Hot and humid with no A/C but plenty of fans to keep the warm air circulating. Could not keep it fresh inside even with windows open. Loud upstairs neighbor who costantly trolls up and down the top unit at night. Not what I expected from a vrbo.
After the last place, this place was beautiful and fully stocked. We didn't have to get anything more. It was beautifully decorated and clean! We had to leave 2 days early because of medical issues, but our stay was good. It was really good that there were lots of fans as the trade winds were non-existent during our stay. The condo is close to all the great beaches and we spent everyday at a different beach pretty much.
For the price this is a good place to stay. It was clean and close to the beach.
We stayed in the unit for two weeks. It was comfortable and clean. We were close to the beach only about 15minutes down the hill. I have to say the people that live above this unit are very active at all hours of the night. We were told that the guy lifts weights so that was the noise we heard. They seem to be up all night moving around and slamming doors especially on Saturday nights. Getting a good nights sleep was hit and miss. There was plenty of towels and the kitchen was ok as far as having everything to cook with. The blinds do need replacing they are not in very good shape and hard to open to let fresh air in when it gets hot as there is no a/c. I would not stay in this unit again and will be sure to read reviews more carefully the next time.
We have addressed the unit upstairs and mini blinds have been replaced. I so glad you liked the location and the price. Safe travels
Waikoloa Village is good place to stay, not so hot and cool at night. I can always hear birds singing and see them walking friendly. The condo is well equipped and clean, usually quiet but sometimes a little noisy upstairs. The owner is reliable helpful quick to respond.
I appreciate her and her sister.
Winter in Waikoloa Village
The condo was exceptionally clean and comfortable and all the common areas were well-maintained. We were impressed with how organized our host was and how clear and prompt her communications were. This was a great get away from the cold Canadian winter. When we were not out exploring the island we frequented the pristine pool which was just a short walk from the condo and which we had all to ourselves most days. The grocery store and a great golf course were only 2 minutes away by car. Within a half hour’s drive from the condo you could find great snorkeling, hiking, ocean swimming, drinks while watching live music and hula dancing at the Lava Beach Club, historical sites, etc. From one beach we were entertained for about an hour by a pod of whales breaching the surface. With a bit further a drive you will find volcanic and other historic sites that are well worth exploring. We especially enjoyed our tour of the Palace in Kona with a very informative docent. Getting back to the condo.....we really appreciated how well equipped the kitchen was....there was nothing that I would reach for at home that was not supplied here. In short one of the best vacations we have enjoyed in a long time. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the great review I glad you love wakioloa village as much as I do so glad you had a fun time on this beautiful island hope to have you again Aloha
*whale watching during the whale season, dec 1-march 31, kitesurfing, zipline, helicopter tours, atv tours, swim with the dolphins, active volcano, hike in the national volcano park, best scuba diving in all hawaiian islands, hike the many waterfalls trails. Black, green and white sand beaches. The condo has wild turkeys roaming the property. Condo just minutes away from the best beach, hapuna. Great location makes it easy to take in both sides of the island. The shopping village supermarket, just up the road, has all you need- at good prices. They have fresh pastries every morning, this is a must. They also offer fresh seafood poke and sell beer and wine. Banjy's place located at the golf course (2 minute walk) has a good draft beer selection and the happy hour is a nice end to a fun day on the big island. Post office is across the intersection from the village,
