3 bedroom, 2 story home with 1 main level full bathroom. Sleeps 6-8 comfortably. Great fireplace for the 'cooler evenings.' Brand new home on the rental market. New amenities, TV, DVD, WiFi, huge deck with plenty of room to enjoy the gas grill and patio furniture, while overlooking the great view of the private wooded acres. Washer and dryer. 2 car garage with wood burning stove. Room for 1 car, if needed. Foosball table next to stove in garage for fun. Walk to Gills rock for great bay views, or hike through the forest for lake views. Conveniently located mere minutes from everything Door County has to offer!
My wife and I grew up in Illinois, vacationing to Door County many times. After spending our honeymoon in Door County, it became a dream of ours to own a home there. We have now achieved our dream, and are opening it up for others to experience it's natural beauty.
Ben Piller purchased this house in 2014
We love this location, as it is far enough away for complete solitude, but, close enough to all the amazing activities Door County has to offer.
Single family home, with privacy. Large and modern enough for todays family, but, set amongst Northern Door County forest.
This house is located in the most beautiful part of Door County near very tip of the peninsula. This area is very peaceful and it is not crowded. The house offers true privacy. It is also very comfortable and offers plenty of space.
We have enjoyed this place for two weeks. And so did our dogs. The house was very clean and it had everything we needed for our stay. So we felt completely at home. The satellite tv and Internet were working well.
We spent many hours hiking in Newport State Park which is only a few miles away. And it is the most beautiful in Door Conty. We also recommend to drive to Rowley's Bay for a fish boil and Swedish bakery goods. Watching sunset from Shoreline restaurant which is only 1/2 mile away is a treat. We also attended pipe organ concert at Shepherd of the Bay church in EllisonBay, and it was very nice.
The house could easily fit a large family . Our party had 5 people and we were very comfortable in 3 bedrooms. I also must add the owners are very friendly and helpful if you need anything.
We booked a last minute vacation here for four days and Ben was very timely in his response to our request. The house has alot of charm, has been nicely remodeled, and it was especially nice to be able to bring our dog along for the trip. The campfire pit was also very relaxing considering that there's hardly any traffic at night since there's not much north of the house. It's about a ten minute drive to Newport state park and 20 minutes to Peninsula State park so hiking and enjoying the state parks is very close by. Make sure to get some smoked fish in Gill's Rock while you are there, which is walking distance from the house.
The house was perfect for our stay over Fall Festival. It was awesome that the dogs had a place outside that they could stay fenced in while we had a fire at night and while we were loading and unloading our necessities. There were also nice, quiet roads to take them for walks in the morning. It was also nice having Bea's across the street, we had forgotten sugar for our coffee and were able to walk over and borrow some :) The kitchen was well equipped with everything that we needed. The bedrooms were large and accommodating and the beds were nice and comfortable. I could have slept on the couch, it was so comfy! :) Can't wait to stay again and will have to make our reservations for next year!
This was our first time in Door County. We stayed for a week with our middle school son, toddler daughter and our dog. We loved the house and all the amenities. The kitchen, the washer & dryer and plenty of space to stretch out and relax met everyone's needs. The owners were very helpful and easy to contact throughout the entire rental experience. The location is very quiet and relaxing nestled in the woods away from busy tourist towns. It was easy to get around and discover all that Door County has to offer from restaurants to water sports to tranquil beaches. Our first sunset in Gills Rock at the Shoreline Restaurant was a big hit with our family. Our kids are already asking to return and we cannot wait to get away again. Would highly recommend this rental to our friends and family. Thank you for a lovely stay in your home away from home!
Our family had a wonderful getaway in this comfortable and peaceful setting! The owners were flexible, helpful, and incredibly welcoming. The location at Gills Rock was ideal, and so restorative to be away from the crowds of tourists. The convenience of the washer and dryer, well-equipped kitchen, and lots of space met all our vacation needs. We've only been back home a couple weeks, and I'm already dreaming of when we can return! Thank you for the hospitality!!
My husband, daughter, parents, and myself stayed for an extended weekend away in Door Country. We absolutely loved your house. It has all the amenities you need, is quiet and relaxing, and is an easy drive to many shops and restaurants that Door County has to offer. We would highly recommend this house for others looking to vacation in Door County.
