You'll feel right at home in this spacious and light corner room in our simple yet elegant home. (The rental is NOT for the entire home. Your host lives in the home and will be present).
There is a private full bath, kitchen, patio & gardens. This is one of the best neighborhoods in Eugene with close access to just about everything.
This spacious, east-facing corner room has hardwood floors with a simple and fresh look. There is a desk and chair, bed and a sitting chair.
There is closet space and a built-in dresser if needed.
The house is simple yet elegant and comfortable. The patio and organic gardens are quite pleasant to sit in and read or enjoy a glass of wine and nibble on cheese.
I will provide organic coffee (plus organic half and half and organic sugar).
WiFi, kitchen, full bath (world's smallest full bath:), living room, patio and gardens, washer and dryer.

Other Things to Note
I work from home as a career and life coach.
I have 1 dog who is friendly and clean and loves humans but not other dogs, so no pets, please.
Members of the LGBTQ community welcome here.
No other pets as Lucy the Border Collie is not always welcoming to other dogs. Do not let her out front.
Because I work from home I have to keep my home clean and tidy. When I am with clients (either by phone or in person) I am unable to be available to my guests until the top of the hour--Tuesday -Thursday. Once in a while clients that I see face to face may need to use the guest bathroom.
If you need storage for bicycles please let owners know in advance.
No guests other than those covered by the original agreement may reside over night on the premises.
No more than the agreed upon number of guests may stay the night. If there is an emergency the inclusion of additional guests must be discussed with the host and additional fees must be paid.
This home is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation/rental, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises.
Two of my big loves in life are being in nature and dancing. Rivers, creeks, lakes, the ocean. Hiking, biking, strolling, snow shoeing. Camping. As to dancing my current obsession is West Coast Swing after a few years of being a ballroom dance devotee.
I also love my home. I moved into this one in June 2013 and have been making it the simple yet elegant home it was meant to be.
Then there is the dog. Lucy I adopted a few years ago. She is a small red and white Border Collie or something like that. She loves people and is quite wary of other dogs (so NO PETS, please).
Deep conversation, creativity, spirituality, gardening, good belly laughs all feed me immensely.
I love my work as a career and life coach. I have been doing this business since 2004. It is such a rewarding way to be of service: helping others know and express their true calling and create what they want in their lives both personally and professionally.
I have lived in Colombia, South America--at the height of the Civil War--and taught English there for the British Council. I've done home stays with several families in Guatemala as part of a language immersion school. This was my mid-life crisis reinvention time.
When I travel I prefer to stay with people I know. I get to experience the culture first hand, not as a tourist. I hope that I may help you enjoy your stay in Eugene more deeply.
Lisa Anderson purchased this house in 2013
I have been in Eugene for since 1977. I lived in a sweet little bungalow home that I transformed over the course of 20 years. But it was starting to feel cramped. So I started looking. And looking. And looking. I just wasn't finding anything out there. I was on all the sites multiples times a day. Then I saw something on Zillow in a category called 'Make Me Move' with one very dark photo of the kitchen. I drove by and liked what I saw and contacted the owner. And contacted. And contacted. He finally got back to me and it was definitely love at first site. The place was a bit of pig sty when I first saw it but I could see all the potential here. So like Michelangelo I have been sculpting and just removing what doesn't belong here to let let what does shine through.
If you don't need an entire house nor want the impersonal nature of a hotel and are way past staying at youth hostels this is the place to be. Staying with locals is one of the best to get to know a place.
My favorite feature when I first saw this house was the hallway. Yup, the hallway. It wraps around the covered patio with huge windows pulling you outside. I also loved that this wasn't a box shaped house. There are a few angles that are just enough off 90 degrees to catch your attention.
Lovely home in a safe, beautiful area. Close to everything. Lisa was wonderful in answering my many questions about the area. Room was large and had everything you need.
A very clean, comfotable residence. Close to everything. Would highly recommend for a couple not interested in the typical hotel setting.
Everything about my stay here was great. Lisa was a gracious hostess making sure I knew where everything was and if I didn't, supplied me with explicit instructions. Sunrise room was very nice, private if necessary but I chose the option of awakening to the Oregon Sunrise. I never used it but very nice backyard patio and scenery if you desire to relax and have a cocktail. This was perfect for the U of O graduation I attended and so conveniently located to campus and Eugene. 5 minutes. Lisa attentive to keeping up appearances and newly mulched the landscape. Wish I could've stayed to help. Love the dog, very very friendly. Lisa respects your schedule and privacy but willing to help in any way. A 5-star Eugene Experience. Alumni, parents, tourists, book it now.
The house was beautiful and serene, and the neighborhood is great, very convenient to shopping and downtown. However, the bathroom is down a hall and across the kitchen; a problem for older folks who may need to use it during the night. It is also VERY small, which could be a problem for a large person. If these are not your issues, I would highly recommend this home. Lisa was charming and welcoming.
My boyfriend & I stayed here for a track meet in Eugene and felt so welcomed! We definitely felt like we were at home. It was very nice & calm. I enjoyed my runs through the neighborhood. (She does live near a park!) We loved how we were so close to the track and to nearby grocery stores. We will definitely want to stay here again!! Lisa, you were GREAT! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality! Matt & Allison
Lisa was very welcoming and the house was beautiful. I enjoyed my stay there. The morning coffee was really good!
