Better than expected
Our family loved our stay. Everything we needed was at our fingertips.
We loved it!
Secluded, cozy, quiet, romantic, perfect for a get away. Ideal for two. We arrived after dark and the colored lights, electric fireplace and stereo were on. Very nice! We cooked foil pocket dinners on the propane grill. Lemon Chicken, Garlic Butter Shrimp & Fish in Salsa, lots of wine of-course, yum. There was no cellular reception at least with T-mobile and the WiFi was spotty during our three night stay. However the stereo, blu-ray player and satellite TV (not that we watched TV) all worked fine. We brought disposable dinnerware, that and the foil cooking meant virtually no cleanup. Washing dishes is done in the bathroom sink. The ladder to the loft is steep and can be intimidating. A hand hold at the apex would be nice. All in all we loved our stay and cant wait to come back. Hope you enjoy yours as much as we did. Michael & Diane
Lots of character!
A relaxing private getaway for my husband and me!
It was a sad excuse for a mini vacation.
First, you couldnt drive to the tree house cabin, 2nd no key to lock the door.3.The compost toilet was a 5 gal.bucket, in a plywood box, with a toilet lid o it, and a square plastic container, with wood chips in it.So if you used the vacility, you pour the saw dust & chips over the feces & urine. Mind you, no venting it was an out house in the cabin.Extension cords hanging all over, & a lot with electrical tape. 8 foot ladder to the loft, no railing in the front of the opening. So long story short, you had to jump & roll on the mattress & hope you didn't fall off the loft.. So when we left we had to hall coolers, luggage, pillows, laundry bags back to our truck slipping on the muddy Path. While dogs jump around , being dogs. And the whole cabin smelled like a out house.and the 1st, person got a hot shower, the second person, was rather cool. And it wasn't very clean, we left it cleaner when e left. We wouldn't recommend it to any one.The air conditioning, filter was filthy, ...I wish I had a better comment, but I'm glad it's over. DCD
A charming retreat to recharge!
We enjoyed our weekend getaway at the treehouse -- which included bringing our city dog back to nature. It was the perfect way to disconnect from our city life/work and the 'hustle and bustle'. The property is beautiful and quiet. Bob was a friendly and gracious host who was responsive to all our questions and communications. We hope to come back again and we would recommend the treehouse to family and friends looking for a peaceful and low-key getaway.
