About Nicole Gilbert

Hi! I'm Nicole Gilbert. I'm a mother of 3 with a full-time job and not as much time to spend on this beautiful lake as I would wish. My husband and I would love to share our vacation spot with you and your family. We've spent the time since we purchased the property making improvements and making it feel like a home away from home. We hope you'll come and build many fond memories.

Nicole Gilbert purchased this house in 2011

Why Nicole Gilbert chose Pennsylvania

I have been in love with vacationing in Treasure Lake, and I hope that renting Dad's Lakehouse to you will let you share in our experience!

What makes this house unique

The backyard amenities are truly something to enjoy. The dock features outdoor seating with a small fridge to keep beverages cold close to the water. The level yard with a unique natural stone path to the dock was one of the selling points of the house. Careful on the stone path though - they're not quite as level as the yard :). Bring your outdoor toys - volleyball net, bocce ball, badminton. Could even pitch a tent near the firepit and 'rough it'. Driveway circles not only at the front of the house but circles around the back of the house allowing for easy unloading of supplies at the front or back door and providing extra parking for multiple drivers staying at the house.

The home was nice but the outdoor area was outstanding.

  • 4 of 5

We had our grandchildren visit throughout the week and they had so much fun jumping off the dock and fishing. A ladder on the dock would be my only suggestion.

We just liked relaxing and sleeping in😀?

Great week on the lake

  • 5 of 5

We vacationed for a week at the Lake House with our kids and grandchild. The house was very nice and the community is wooded and very peaceful. The highlight of the property is the back yard lakefront area. The property has one of the nicest docks and seating areas on the lake. We had quite a bit of rain during the week and we were still able to enjoy the lake during some of the times of light rain because of the covered pavilion seating area at the dock. The firepit area was also nice. We enjoyed swimming in the lake off of the dock, floating in inner tubes and canoeing. The house itself was nice and generally well appointed. We enjoyed eating on the deck and cooking our meals on the grill. The fishing was very good, with pike, bass, blue gill and perch being caught. John, the owner was helpful when we had a few issues (gas for the grill being low, DVD not working and outside lights shorting out.)

The lake amenities that we used were the beaches and the pool. It was really nice having the small beach just up the road. We had our grandson with us, and that was quite handy. My wife and I visited the restaurant at the lodge in hopes of having a meal there, but did not get a good vibe so we left. (restaurant almost empty on a Friday night and the room set up with large tables with folding chairs. It was like a banquet area, not a restaurant.)

Sunsets were stunning, the lake peaceful. We took day trips to Penn's Cave and Kinzua Bridge State Park.

All in all, it is definitely a place we would come back to.

Delightful lakefront home with everything necessary for a great break

  • 5 of 5

We were very impressed with the house which was immaculate with a full range of amenities for our three generations including cable tv , games and a well appointed kitchen. The highlight for us was the boat dock where we fished every day with great success , catching a variety of species including an unbelievable 6 to 7 pound bass as the highlight. Then on to the firepit for some fireside fun to round the day off.

Our young granddaughters had a wonderful time going to the beach a short walk away , catching fish and being rowed around the beautiful lake in the canoe that is provided with the property rental. On the one rainy day we all snuggled down to watch Harry Potter in the very comfortable lounge.

The one minor negative comment was from my son who found one of the two single beds was a bit uncomfortable . The double bed was good to sleep in and the girls loved the double bunk beds.

Lots to do locally including seeing the last surviving Elk in Pennsylvania after a pleasurable short drive through beautiful country side.

All in all we had a great week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We would recommend this property to anyone

Perfect Place for our family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely LOVED Dad's Lake House! the home is beautiful, with everything you need for a comfortable vacation. The recreation set-up with the fire pit and the dock for fishing/canoeing was fabulous! Everyone enjoyed fishing the days away, BBQ on the deck, and a campfire in the evening. There was also enough flat yard to play some yard games we brought. Thanks you for responding quickly to our call when there was a little issue with the outdoor lights. Everyone wants to come back here again!

Making memories one s'more at a time.

  • 5 of 5

Our family had such a relaxing time at Dad's Lake House. Our 2 year old felt right at home and loved spending every minute outside, sun or shine. The pictures pale in comparison to the actual living environment and relaxing outdoors.

Most everything was provided even the dish soap. We overpacked in preparation. The beaches around the lake were lovely and the community pool was like a resort- with a water slide and adult beverages. (However, this 7 month pregnant lady only indulged in the former. ) S'mores and hot dogs were enjoyed by the camp fire and the morning/afternoon/evening canoe trips were just what we needed. A little fishing right off the dock was also convenient and fun for all. Lots of memories shared here and would love to come back.
