Overall it was good had lots of fun.

  • 4 of 5

Overall I thought it was pretty good. Was concerned about the loose tiles in the bathroom breaking. It smelled musty don't know if that's normal for the house or not. Was concerned about no lock for the bikes. We found a lock but no one knew what the combination was. We went to use the beach umbrella but it was broken. The fire place outside is rusting apart but we never ended up using it. But like I said overall it was good and we had lots of fun.

Quiet, easy weekend getaway!

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay for a quick weekend getaway with our 2 toddlers. The condo was easy to find, super close to the beach (easy 5 minute walk, even with 2 kids), and decorated very modestly - which we appreciated. The garage had a few beach toys, a beach cart and a stroller which we took advantage of! The outdoor shower and hose were easily accessed for rinsing off the sand. A few points of feedback - the table is not super kid friendly - the chairs are like outdoor picnic style folding chairs and were difficult for our little guys to eat at, but we managed ok for the short weekend. Also, there are only 4 chairs (perfect for our family of 4, but if you have others staying you'll need to eat on the couch, etc.).The stairs were more like a ladder to the loft bedroom - a bit deceiving from the pictures and were not little kid friendly at all - they were even hard to navigate when carrying bags/port-a-crib up them. I could see them being dangerous for anyone older and anyone that may have had a few too many drinks :) I've also sent a few other bits of critical feedback directly to the property manager for him to take care of. The neighbors were kind and not too rowdy even though they looked like the party type - very polite even in front of our kids. We would definitely stay here again!

Nice Beach House

  • 4 of 5

The neighborhood is very quiet and it was a short walk to the beach which was nice. Overall the house needs updating. Some of the kitchen appliances are outdated, the outdoor fire pit was rusted and not able to be used, some of the door handles were practically falling off and the tiles on the bathroom floor were popping out and moved when you stepped on them. The property manager and owner were very easy to get ahold of if needed.

Wonderful, private home steps from beach - Great for Families

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a fantastic trip to VB. This rental was absolutely perfect for our family getaway. We traveled with two adults, two teenagers and two kids ages 8 & 10. Even though this home is located behind another home, we felt like we were in our own private retreat. The home had more than enough space for our family of 6 and all the amenities we needed to enjoy a week at the beach (full kitchen with utensils, etc., washer/dryer, beach cart, etc.) There was MORE than enough space for all of us as well as 3 cable TVs and Wifi for down time. There is only one bathroom, but surprisingly, this never posed a problem and the outdoor shower was a perfect alternative to using the indoor one - especially after a day at the beach. This home is perfectly located - close enough to the boardwalk to be accessible with a short car ride, yet far enough away to avoid the touristy crowds. There are several grocery stores nearby as well (you will need to bring extra TP, paper towels, shampoo, etc.) The beach is a 10 minute walk away and while some have mentioned having to cross a "busy" street, we never found any difficulty crossing, nor did we find it hazardous or inconvenient. The neighborhood is friendly and the beach itself is gorgeous, very clean, and even on the weekends, not very crowded. We felt safe, even taking late night strolls in the sand.

Checking in and out was a breeze thanks to Matt, the property manager, who contacted us well in advance of our visit with all the necessary details and made himself easily accessible if we needed him (which we really didn't!).

The only drawbacks worth mentioning are the stairs to the upstairs loft/bedroom. While we were traveling with older children, this could be a challenge if you have younger kids or older family members (although the doorway could be EASILY gated or blocked). There is also only space for 4 people around the dining table - not a problem for us since we are more casual diners, but if you're anticipating "sit-down family dinners" with a larger group you'd probably be better off eating on the larger patio table (the private yard is great!). This truly felt like being at home - it's not luxurious and it has a definite lived-in feel, but that's what we loved about it. We didn't feel like strangers in another persons' home at all, but like visitors staying at a friends' cottage. Can't say enough good things about this rental. We are hoping to be back again next year.

Cozy and comfy

  • 4 of 5

Our family of five enjoyed our three night stay. Our son loved the loft! Beds for all and room to play games. Crossing Atlantic Ave to fet to the beach could be treacherous at times, so we drove over and parked. Was just the thing we needed for a short beach trip.

Nice, cozy house.

  • 5 of 5

Well kept, comfortable home within easy walking distance of a nice, quiet section of the beach. More than enough space for our family of 3....would accomodate 2 couples & 2 children easily. As per the pics., beautifully landscaped, private back-yard. Prompt replies from contact, even local restaurant suggestions !!! Would certainly stay again.
