I am an Australian woman who works from home in my lovely apartment and am an intrepid traveller. I travel regularly to India and Thailand to mediation resorts as well as visiting adult daughters in Hong Kong and California, sisters in South Africa where I was born and many friends around the world. I always love coming back to Sydney with its vibrant sunny outdoor life and many activities of every sort on offer. I bought this apartment on the fringe of the city as it is an ideal location for accessing all the city has to offer. Being close to the harbour, beautiful walks and white sand beaches as well as great shopping and restaurants in walking distance, leaving the car behind had massive appeal. I love that it is not in an anonymous apartment block and being in a converted house means complete autonomy.

From my own front door on the street and up one flight of stairs awaits a charming old space which has been modernised and contains all that one could wish for. The high ceilings give a spacious feeling and the angles of the walls provide a unique space which does not feel like a box in a high rise. In this inner city location my home provides a welcome haven indoors with all you could ask for in the surrounding environment.

My partner and I stayed at Jill's for 6 weeks during our first visit to Sydney, and it quite simply could not have been better! First, the apartment itself is lovely, with large rooms full of light and air, tastefully furnished, and full of unique art. Everything was as described in the listing (or better,) and very clean and well maintained. We were there during warm weather and found that the balconies in front and back allowed for nice breezes, so we didn't miss air conditioning. We had all the amenities we could have wished for, including a very well-equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer -- all very important to us for such a long stay.
The location is excellent, in a beautiful upscale neighborhood within a short walk of a large park on Rushcutters Bay, pubs, cafes, and two great shopping areas. Bus stops connecting to all parts of Sydney are also within a short walk, and Jill provided a bus card that can be refilled at a convenience store across the street. Although she was traveling during most of our stay, Jill was always available by email or phone to answer any questions we might have. I would definitely recommend Jill's place to anyone visiting Sydney -- in fact, I have recommended it to two people already!
One "attraction" that we especially enjoyed: the cockatoos romping and playing in the eucalyptus trees overlooking the apartment. Such clowns!
Mary thank you very much for your excellent review which is much appreciated. You and Chooch were model guests who I would highly recommend to any home owner. Never has my apartment been better cared for! It was left absolutely spotless and even more astounding was the fact that each cupboard was painstakingly cleaned and arranged with my kitchen equipment and bed linen looking as new! On top of that, a host of kitchen supplies and groceries were thoughtfully replenished - a heartwarming homecoming for me.
Mary and Chooch were also exceedingly gracious in allowing me and my family unlimited access to the apartment on a number of occasions when we unexpectedly had to be back in Sydney.

Perfect Accommodation in Great Location
This cute, vibrant apartment is centrally located (less than 10 minutes walk from pubs, transportation etc.) in the hip suburb of Paddington with its neat terraced houses, great restaurants and funky stores. It was clean and comfortable with all the amenities as described. Jill, the owner, was very hospitable and friendly and helped make our stay very enjoyable.
We would definitely recommend Jill's apartment to friends and family.

Second level of a cute wee apartment in the lovely neighbourhood of Paddington. Less than 10 minutes walk from almost everything - pubs, bars, restaurants, grocery stores, the waterfront (Rushcutters Bay) and boats, parks, shopping, public transit. It's all there.
Inside, there's the full kitchen, plus living/dining area. Comfy cosy. The owner is lovely and reliable...
