Villa located in the mountains north of Faro. 15 minutes driving from the airport. Close to local towns like Loule, S. Bras Alportel and Faro. 10x5 Swimming-pool. 2.800sq m plot, fully fenced; Satellite TV and DVD (guests will be invited to choose a reasonable number of DVD titles from the owner's personal collection - +700 to choose); Two water boilers; Kitchen fully equipped, including American Fridge with ice-maker; barbecue. Garage for 2 cars and automatic gate at property entrance. Quiet area. Wireless Internet connection available. Lovely Conservatory. Guests will be personally welcomed at the airport by the owner(s) and guided to the property.

About Laura

Ricardo is 50 something, and Laura is 40 something. Both Portuguese. He was born and grew up in Lisbon, but Laura is a true Algarvian. We love to host people. Show around, explain things, satisfy the healthy curiosity of our guests.

Why Laura chose São Brás de Alportel

One day we woke up and decided too many people were building around us and the area was becoming too crowded. So we decided to sell our previous villa. It was official: we were looking for a new home. And when the phone rang and a real estate agent said she had exactly what we were looking for, we accepted to visit still another property. That was the day when we came to Casa do Sonho for the first time. Its location was a bit out of the way for us. But the views were so good... and the building quality... and the fine swimming-pool... we just couldn't resist. We bought the place. We had happy years there. The community is great, and especially during the Summer, when everybody comes to their villas, the atmosphere is unbelievable.

What makes this villa unique

The project villa Casa do Sonho didn't start life as a commercial enterprise. We didn’t build this villa with the intention of renting it out. It was our home until we decided it was a little too far for our normal active working lives. We moved to Vilamoura and decided that we would rent out the Casa do Sonho villa to help us with our new property expenses. So, what does this mean to you? Simply put, it means that you will find a real home here, instead of a poorly furnished villa designed for maximum profit.. We look forward to welcoming you and enabling the Casa do Sonho to become your home for a well-deserved, comfortable and memorable vacation. But to be honest, I think our guests opinion must be taken. We kindly suggest you to read our testimonials in our own website.

Just wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed staying in the villa...it was nice and secluded with plenty of space and a lovely view. The beds were really comfortable and the showers were good.I would recommend the villa to other people as it is very spacious, has a good quiet location and has everything you need.

Lovely villa in a beautiful location.

Can recommend to any one who plans to visit the Algarve but wants to avoid the over crowding of the coastal resorts. That said only 20 minutes from the airport, but it feels a lot further away. Laura was very helpful and efficient. We are already planning our return, which says it all...

We were met by Ricardo at the airport and escorted to the villa about 20 minutes from the airport. The Casa is situated in the countryside on a hillside with other villas in the proximity but not estate style, so the feeling is being private but not remote.

The villa is spacious and very well furnished and has everything for a perfect holiday. The description is accurate. The pool area is spectacular and views wonderful.

We stayed as a couple but it is equally suitable for families or groups of friends, but if you're looking for somewhere close to restaurants and bars maybe not so convenient.

All in all a fabulous villa with exceptionally friendly and lovely hosts.

New Year Holidays

The description of the villa was accurate well done. The outlook from the terrace was amazing. The property was clean and the equipment was really well. There are different places, where you can relax and linger. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We would gladly come back and recommended the villa to our friends. The beach of Faro is very marvellous. New Year day to stay in this villa is very special and unforgettable.

Stunning Views

Casa do Sonho is a lovely, comfortable, well equipped villa situated in the hills. The views over Faro, Olhao and out to sea are stunning, by day and night. It's location is excellent and you can reach all parts of the Algarve with ease. Laura and Ricardo are a lovely, friendly couple. They suggested many places for us to visit which we appreciated. Would we recommend this villa? YES!!!!

Large, well appointed villa with excellent views

The villa was situated very conveniently for access to major roads and towns enabling easy exploring of the Algarve region. The contents of the villa were very extensive indeed. A number of supermarkets are within easy driving distance with comprehensive ranges for groceries and household goods. Ricardo and Laura were extremely friendly and very proactive with comprehensive advice before our arrival to ensure we found the villa and were able to start the holiday immediately. They were also available throughout the stay for adhoc questions. Our only comment on "extras" needed in the villa would be that it would be good to have pool/beach towels, as with limited luggage space carrying large items such as these around is probably not practical for many guests.

Located in a hill with only a few neighbor villas, this house offers the joy of a quiet area. Although, its easy access is one of its best values: driving from here to Faro, Almancil or Loule is only 15m away. And Vilamoura, Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo are also easily reachable.

There are a few recommendable local restaurants (less then 5 mim driving) and the closest village, Bordeira, is only 2 km distant. There you will be able to buy basic groceries, bread, ATM, etc. If needed, a short drive of 4 km will conduct you to S. Bras de Alportel, a small town where will be able to find a proper supermarkets.

Beaches will be at your reach; only problem will be to choose one.

Close to local towns like Loule (15 minutes), S. Bras Alportel (10 minutes), Santa Barbara de Nexe (5 minutes) and Faro (15 minutes).

- Security Deposit of 300,00-Euros/Pounds paid on arrival and returned at departure time,if nothing is damaged.
- Air-conditioning (4 units:master bedroom,twin bedroom,living room,dining room) is available as an option, costing 22,50-Euros a week/per unit required.
- Baby-cot and high-chair can be supplied at a cost of 35,00-Euros weekly (only cot, not linen).
- For long term stays (3 months minimum): 1.250,00-Euros per month
