Stay in the heart of Portland. Classic 1880s brownstone situated in the middle of one of Portland's most beautiful blocks. Despite the quiet, leafy surroundings you will be only steps from Longfellow Square's restaurants and live music venues. Easily walk to every part of the city's historic peninsula, including the Arts District and Old Port.
Endlessly charming home with crown moldings, plaster medallions, hardwood floors, bay windows, original front and rear staircases, pocket doors, ten foot ceilings and granite front stoop. Double living room, dining room, three bedrooms with full or queen beds, one full bath upstairs and one three quarter bath downstairs. Bathrooms and kitchen are dated but functional. Rear patio and garden.
We have two high end sleep sofas in the living room and parlor, which makes flexible sleeping arrangements easy.
3 day minimum stay.
Please note: This historic row-house does not have any off-street parking. There is parking on the street and it is rare not to find a spot nearby immediately.
This property was perfect for our needs in Portland. We were there to attend our son's wedding. The home was spacious with ample room for all guests. Parking was sometimes challenging because it was a holiday weekend, but the owner let us know in advance so we were not surprised. I would highly recommend this property.
I've never rented from VRBO, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was absolutely the perfect home. I stayed here for a long weekend with a small group. It is a neat, clean and perfectly located house to discover Portland. The owner was kind, helpful and very prompt in answering all of my questions. Would certainly recommend considering this home if looking to visit Portland!
What a great place to stay. There were five adults in our group, and we had plenty of room to stretch out. The beds were all comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We spent a lot of time hanging out in the beautiful backyard, enjoying the wonderful Portland summer weather. The house is within walking distance of everything in the downtown area; once we parked our car, we didn't move it again until we left town. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone who wants to visit Portland.
We stayed here with our toddler in August 2014 and found the location and amenities (including high chair, sandbox, crib, toys, etc) to be perfect for those looking for a get-away in Portland. The home is within walking distance to stores and restaurants, which makes it very convenient for those who don't want to use their car much. The owners were great at communicating and always prompt in responding to questions and requests. I would definitely stay here again.
