Steps to the Annisquam River, this contemporary 2 BR 1 bath hideaway has fantastic light exposure w/ sky light & glass sliders in bedrooms & living areas. The large open 2nd floor plan takes advantage of beautiful river views from balcony. Laundry on ground floor. Sleeps 3, 1 queen, 1 twin. This quarter acre property has plenty of parking. Close to beaches, harbor, tennis courts, and restaurants, West Gloucester train station & Rt. 128 Exit 14. Maximum 3 persons, no smokers, no cats, but small dog may be considered.

I spent summers in Gloucester, and wanted to return to one of the most beautiful places on earth after spending 20 years overseas.
It feels like a tree house. It's small, and my carbon footprint is small, but I have a spacious, light open space on second floor.
The only downside was not having an empty refrigerator and at least one empty cabinet to store our food. One of the benefits of renting a house rather than staying in a hotel is being able to cook. Whenever we've rented houses in the past the fridge is completely empty, so this was odd and rather inconvenient given how much my family enjoys cooking.
We arrived to find a broken dryer which would have been nice to have been notified ahead of time I would have packed differently. I love the area, the location is perfect the house itself is very nice, but I felt like I was staying in someone's home rather than a rental, it was an odd situation.
What a wonderful place to come back home to. The only drawback for me was the lack of airconditioning. Otherwise???? Wonderful! !!
Excellent property, we really loved our stay here! Excellent location with easy access to downtown Gloucester, beautiful beaches, and Stage Fort park. We brought our toddler and had a wonderful and relaxing stay. If you do bring a toddler, make sure you bring a baby gate for the top of the stairs.
This property was in the perfect location for our trip to Gloucester. The house is exactly as advertised.... Clean, modern and very private. The owner was very responsive and helpful in sending information about the area as well. Overall, an excellent rental property.
I took it as a good sign when I opened the bedroom window and a hummingbird came to greet me! This is a clean, airy, well-appointed home with a beautiful view of the Annisquam River. Especially lovely at sunset! It was superquiet and felt very private. We loved the location---quite near Ravenswood Park (nature preserve with great trails) and the Causeway restaurant (get it to go and avoid the long line and chaotic dining room). It's not apparent in the photos, but you access the house via stairs from the street-level parking pad. Not an issue for us but might be a consideration for someone with mobility challenges. All in all, a really relaxing and comfortable experience. Hope to return for a longer stay next summer!!
My husband and I stayed here with our babies and really loved the house. It was very clean which is really a top priority for us having a baby crawling around everywhere. The decor was modern and very nice. We really loved the spacious, open layout of the living area. We had friends over for dinner and it was perfect being able to cook, interact with each other and still keep an eye on the little ones (who had plenty of space to play around in). Gabrielle was super helpful and responsive to my inquiries during the weeks leading up to our stay. And, honestly, when she said the house has everything you'd normally find in a house, she really meant it. We would definitely stay here again next year when we visit with family.
